Ming Sui had never known her family had a place like this.
She and Tang San followed Ming Zhen and Tang Yunhua through the City Lord's Mansion, turning left and right. Nian Nian sat quietly on Tang San's shoulder as they passed through flowers and brushed past willow branches. Behind the vines of some unknown courtyard, a small door appeared. Beyond it was where Tang Hao and Ah Yin lived.
The trees here flourished, and the Life Aura was abundant. The moment they entered, even Nian Nian visibly relaxed. Tang Hao had already come out upon hearing them. Looking at the son who resembled his wife so much, he found himself at a loss for words.
"Dad." Tang San could not get enough of looking at his father, who was in much better condition than before.
"You've grown taller." Tang Hao smiled.
"You father and son can have a proper talk after this. Let's go see Sister Ah Yin first." Tang Yunhua could not stand this mood any longer. She put an arm around Tang San and led him past Tang Hao, heading inside. Ming Sui followed behind. As she passed Tang Hao, she obediently called him Second Uncle and earned a pat on the head.
Inside were several rooms containing the precious materials in Ming Zhen's possession. Tang Hao also lived here, while Ah Yin had been planted in the center of the garden, where the energy of grass and trees was richest and most suitable for her growth.
Tang Hao had cleared out a small patch of open ground in the middle of the garden. Ah Yin was there, with no other plants nearby to compete with her for resources. As such, this Blue Silver Emperor had grown quite well—assuming one did not know it was a Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast.
Tang San quietly looked at the Blue Silver Emperor. So this was Mother.
Elsewhere, Tang Yunhua lectured Nian Nian and Ming Sui. "You'll have a hard time shortly. Uncle and I will use Soul Power to carve out a space for you. You only need to make sure the Life Aura fills that space. When your Soul Power runs low, Father will strengthen you. If you can't hold on, tell us. Sui Sui, take good care of Nian Nian, all right?"
Ming Sui and Nian Nian nodded. Great. They only had to maintain the Life Aura within a small space. There were already plenty of plants here, so it would not be difficult.
Ming Zhen took an exquisite little box from the room. Seeing Tang San still standing there, he sighed inwardly and called out in a voice eight degrees gentler, "Xiao San, we're starting."
Tang San came back to himself and took a deep breath. "I'm ready."
Tang Hao and Tang Yunhua moved first. Their two massive hammers struck out fiercely, sealing off a space around the swaying Blue Silver Emperor.
Ming Sui and Nian Nian began as well. Pure Life Aura was drawn out and slowly filled the entire space. Ming Zhen stood behind them, ready to strengthen them at any moment.
Tang San released his Blue Silver Emperor Martial Soul. Ah Yin, rooted in the ground, sensed one of her kind approaching and could not help moving closer to rub against it. Strange, why was there suddenly another Blue Silver Emperor? Why had she never seen it before?
The dense Life Aura made Ah Yin more active. She began controlling herself, growing toward her kin. Newly grown vines wrapped around the other's stem, and the aura of her kin traveled back through the vines. This feeling... it seemed like her own aura? But not entirely. It felt like an aura she knew very well. Just sensing it made her happy enough to dance with joy.
Tang San frowned inwardly. This was too slow. Even with Ming Zhen strengthening them, Sui Sui and Nian Nian would not be able to hold on. Gritting his teeth, he cut open his forearm. Blood dripped onto his Blue Silver Grass Martial Soul and onto Ah Yin's newly grown vines.
That aura... Ah Yin felt it. This aura belonged to her child! And there was the scent of blood—her child was hurt!
Even though her mind had yet to awaken, a mother's instinct made Ah Yin's main body surge in size. The Blue Silver Emperor's vines rapidly lengthened and climbed onto Tang San's injured forearm. Blue-gold points of light seeped into the wound, and the cut that had been bleeding moments ago began to heal.
Tears streamed down from Tang San's red eyes, one drop after another.
Within his Sea of Consciousness, a gentle voice spoke laboriously, word by word. "Don't... cry. Don't... cry. Does it hurt?"
"Mom, Mom, Mom... It hurts. It hurts..." Tang San murmured as tears slid down his cheeks. Ah Yin's vines stretched out again, their tender leaves gently wiping away his tears.
"Mom's here. Mom's here. It's all right, it's all right. Mom's here." In her anxiety, Ah Yin spoke much more smoothly.
With every call from Tang San, Ah Yin's consciousness gradually began to awaken. Her main body was no longer merely a little patch of grass. It grew taller and taller, gradually matching its long vines. Ah Yin's voice in Tang San's Sea of Consciousness also became clearer and smoother. He knew that Mother was waking up.
The more Ah Yin's main body grew, the more Life Force it required. Ming Sui and Nian Nian already needed Ming Zhen's strengthening to hold on, endless power flowing from their hands.
No matter what, they had succeeded more than halfway. The tense, heavy atmosphere eased as well, except for the two exhausted little ones.
Ah Yin's Blue Silver Emperor main body had grown as tall as a tree and gradually stopped growing. Its demand for Life Aura also slowly diminished until it was gone. Ming Sui and Nian Nian could finally rest and had the energy to look up at the current situation.
So this was the Blue Silver Emperor? Looking at it this way, Third Brother's Blue Silver Emperor was practically a baby.
The Blue Silver Emperor before them was entirely blue, its golden threads carrying an unusual sense of flow. Countless vines coiled and grew around it, some thick and powerful, others slender and graceful. In short, it was beautiful and not to be trifled with.
Countless blue motes of light emerged from the Blue Silver Emperor's body, gathering into a human shape and slowly becoming clear. Tang Hao could no longer hold back and rushed forward. "Ah Yin!"
An image of Mother had once appeared in Tang San's Sea of Consciousness during his awakening, but that had only been a projection without Mother's consciousness. But now... this was Mother. His real mother. The tears he had just managed to stop began welling up in his eyes again.
Ah Yin had no physical body right now. She could not embrace them, only look at them.
"Ah Hao, how did you get so old?" Ah Yin blurted out in surprise. Tears filled Tang Hao's fierce eyes as he stood frozen. Ah Yin thought he was old!
Ah Yin's gaze turned to Tang San. The young boy's face was practically a blend of her own and Tang Hao's. Wait, what was going on with his eyes? Alarmed and furious, she said, "Xiao San, is your name Xiao San? Why are your eyes so red? How did your father raise you?"
Tang Hao jolted. Recalling how he had raised his son, his guilty conscience grew even stronger. He did not dare make a sound, nor did he have the mind to recall whether Tang San's eyes had already been red when he arrived that morning.
Before Tang San could answer, Ah Yin's hand hovered over his face. "Xiao San is already this grown up."
The tears still could not be held back. Ah Yin sniffed. "It's all right, Xiao San. Mom is here. Mom is here now. You're a little man, aren't you?" As she spoke, she gently stroked Tang San without touching him.
Tang Yunhua and Ming Zhen smiled as they watched Ah Yin. Only after Ah Yin had seen her husband and son did they greet her. "It's been a long time, Sister Ah Yin."
"It's been a long time, Yunhua. It's been a long time, Ah Zhen. Wow, is this little one the child you and Ah Zhen had? So cute. Baby, I'm your Second Aunt. Oh, there's an Emerald Angel here too. Hello, little darling. Thank you both this time."
Ming Sui called out "Second Aunt" with sparkling eyes and received an airborne pat from Ah Yin as well. Nian Nian also meowed at Ah Yin.
Tang Hao felt as though he had forgotten something. What was it? Never mind. Ah Yin's consciousness had awakened; Ah Yin was what mattered now. Seeing that Tang Hao could think of nothing else, and that Tang Yunhua had already begun chatting with Ah Yin, Ming Zhen sighed.
"I say, do you remember there's still one more step?"
Their joy-clouded minds began turning again.
"Right, right. Ah Yin, we got the Angel Heart from Spirit Hall. Hurry and absorb it so you can undergo Humanoid Transformation." Tang Hao took out the Angel Heart Ming Zhen had brought out that morning.
"It's from Spirit Hall? Good, good, good. Then we'll start taking revenge right now." At the thought of Spirit Hall, Ah Yin's teeth itched with hatred.
"I remember the Angel Heart is a Divine Artifact. Since it's a Divine Artifact, I can first absorb part of its power to undergo Humanoid Transformation, then seal the rest inside my body and absorb it gradually. That power can be released little by little through cultivation, which will be good for my body too." Based on her memories, Ah Yin offered a better solution.
As long as she could undergo Humanoid Transformation, any method was fine.
"What do we need to do?" Tang Hao asked impatiently.
Ah Yin thought for a moment. "Xiao San, take your sister and Nian Nian aside to rest. Take good care of your sisters, all right? They're very tired. As for you two, just watch from the side. If the disturbance gets too great, suppress it a little."
For something like reviving a Soul Beast, it was more reliable to leave it to a professional. Ming Zhen and Tang Yunhua let out long sighs of relief, their moods much lighter.
There was no time to lose. They got to work immediately. Tang San supported Ming Sui and carried Nian Nian to the foot of a tree. Ming Sui and Nian Nian were utterly exhausted. After settling Ming Sui down, Tang San sat down too. After some thought, he had Ming Sui lean against him, then adjusted Nian Nian's position. "How is this? Is it comfortable? If not, I'll change your position again."
Ming Sui nodded and comfortably leaned against Tang San's left shoulder. The arm that wielded the Clear Sky Hammer really was sturdy.
Young Miss Nian Nian meowed comfortably as well.
Tang San, whom they were leaning on, went stiff all over.
On the other side, Ah Yin returned to her main body. Tang Hao opened the box containing the Angel Heart. Golden light flashed, and a golden diamond-shaped gemstone floated out. This was the Angel Heart. It drifted around in the air once, trying to escape, but Ah Yin controlled her vines to wrap around it with swift precision, binding it so tightly that not even the golden light could shine through.
The vines tightened further and further, absorbing the Angel Heart's golden divine power and transferring it to the Blue Silver Emperor's main body. More golden threads appeared on the Blue Silver Emperor, making it look more vibrant than before, as if the entire plant was brimming with vitality. The vines around the diamond-shaped gemstone loosened, but the gemstone inside was already gone.
Ming Sui's eyes widened in shock. "The Angel Heart is gone!"
Tang San nodded. "The Blue Silver Emperor's vines have a strong devouring ability. Mother should have absorbed all of the Angel Heart's divine power."
"Then this Angel Heart doesn't seem very impressive. It's no match for Second Aunt." Ming Sui came to a conclusion.
