Background

Ming Sui was a doctor on Earth before being reborn as the daughter of Ming Zhen and Tang Yunhua, both of whom had also transmigrated. Her early life was marked by nightmares from her previous life, but she adapted to the Douluo Continent and looked forward to becoming strong. 1

Her parents began training her in martial arts at age four, combining martial arts from their former world, military combat methods, and Clear Sky Sect techniques. The training built her physique before she ever awakened a Martial Soul. For her sixth birthday, they also forged her a pair of Emei Daggers from Starfall Iron. 1

At six, she awakened the Staff of Life and tested at Innate Full Soul Power. Six months later, her family entered the Star Dou Great Forest to secure her first Soul Ring. 4 5

Personality

Ming Sui approaches the supernatural world through the perspective of a former physician. She adapts medical knowledge rather than applying it blindly, noting that Soul Masters’ Martial Souls can fundamentally alter their bodies and therefore require different standards of treatment. 98 She also attempts to quantify Life Force in physical substances and records its observed ranges. 228

She is curious, empathetic, and willing to investigate matters personally, whether examining Tang San’s condition, exploring divine ruins, or looking into incidents near Calais City. 14 19 206 Her caution does not prevent decisiveness: despite the pain of her Divine Spark’s remodeling, she insists on continuing with her team, and she later returns to the front line during the battle against the Rakshasa God’s spokesperson. 134 194

Ming Sui is also an effective organizer. When the Shrek group is tasked with sorting the Asura God’s disordered mission documents, she devises a classification system and assembly-line workflow that allows the group to finish efficiently. 121
