Everyone hurried to the place where the Sun Flame Crow had vanished, following the trail of charred trees in their search. Yet the final destination gave Xu Mingxi a great shock.
How could it be Moon Lake? Xu Mingxi looked at the Sun Flame Crow lying beneath the giant tree on the island at the center of the lake, then told the Sect Master and Dugu Bo what he knew about this place.
"This place is strange. We shouldn't stay long. Move as quickly as possible, and once Mingxi absorbs the soul ring, we leave at once."
After hearing Xu Mingxi's account, a bad premonition suddenly rose in the Sect Master's heart. Why had the Sun Flame Crow just so happened to land here? Could there be something in this place that could help it evade pursuit?
The Sect Master was the first to strike. The already weakened Sun Flame Crow had no ability to resist and was pinned in place. Just as the phantom of a green poison dragon emerged behind Dugu Bo, its tail sweeping toward the crow in an attempt to bring it to the shore, an accident occurred.

Its branches grew rapidly, and its already enormous crown spread even farther, blotting out the sky and sun. All its green leaves turned silver, and specks of silver light drifted down, forming a silver curtain that shielded the Sun Flame Crow.
An aged face surfaced on the trunk, staring fixedly at everyone—or rather, at Xu Mingxi, who stood at the very back.
