Luke expanded the Energy Bank’s plans as Hecate led the Orcs into Azeroth and Harry Osborn’s research unleashed an aberrant threat. The heroes contained Doom and confronted Darkseid, while Stephen realized Giant had edited the Omega Effect out of the battle.

  • Doomsday shattered the White Cocoon, and Thanos emerged, sealed the universe, weakened the heroes, and later died after revealing that he was a clone bound to the Heart of Obsession.
  • Luke returned, offered the heroes a place in the Energy Bank, and advanced plans involving Loki, Hela, and Agatha, whose connection to Hecate stirred visions as the Frostwolf Clan received an offer to hunt the Skyfall Dragon.
  • Grommash and Hecate cleansed Garada, defeated the Skyfall Dragon, and united the Orc clans for the Great Migration while exposing Gul’dan’s alliance with Kil’jaeden.

Arc 13The Energy Bank’s New Order

After Thanos’s death, Luke returned and offered the heroes a place in the Energy Bank’s expanding order, while Loki, Agatha, and others became involved in missions and bargains tied to Luke’s plans. The stretch ended with Hecate’s connection to Agatha stirring visions and the Frostwolf Clan receiving an offer to hunt the Skyfall Dragon.

  • Doomsday shattered the White Cocoon, and Thanos emerged, sealed the universe, and reduced the heroes’ power before later dying after revealing that he was a clone compelled by the Heart of Obsession.
  • Barry’s attempt to change the past failed when Thanos appeared in the Batcave and explained that he could overwrite the Timeline, leaving the heroes to learn about Luke’s Data Dimension and restrictions on their powers.
  • Luke returned, explained the Psionic Gauntlet’s role in recording events, and offered the heroes Mind Energy and a place in the Energy Bank while warning them about the Abyss and showing Captain the threat of the Brood.
  • Loki was captured by the Time Variance Authority, accepted Luke’s covert mission, and joined Sylvie in confronting Kang, whom Sylvie killed with Luke’s weapon before Loki became captain of the TVA and was tasked with hunting a surviving Kang.

Arc 14The Great Migration

Hecate united the Orc clans and launched their invasion of Azeroth while plague, ancient powers, and new threats spread across the world. The arc left the defenders facing Hela's assault, Agatha drawing on C'Thun's Shadow Power, and Mephisto offering Stratholme a bargain for its souls.

  • Grommash and Hecate cleansed Garada, defeated the Skyfall Dragon, and announced the Great Migration, while Hecate exposed Gul'dan's alliance with Kil'jaeden and had the Elemental Spirits dismember him.
  • Hecate sent the Orc vanguard through the Dragon Tower portal, where they overwhelmed Terenas's forces, and Apostle Luke manifested as an energy avatar to study the tower's captured powers.
  • The Orcs fought the humans outside Stratholme, where Durotan defeated Uther, and the plague soon spread through the city and Lordaeron as Uther and Alonsus established a Holy Light sanctuary.
  • Aegwynn, Agatha, and Antonidas investigated the collapse of advanced magic while Kel'Thuzad accepted Hell Energy from a being beyond a summoning gate and began eyeing Stratholme and the Sunwell.
  • Hecate awakened C'Thun at Ahn'Qiraj, absorbed much of its Shadow Power, imprisoned it, then restored its strength and sent it to guard the Dragon Tower.
  • Hela's army emerged through a wormhole at Ahn'Qiraj, attacked the dragons and Night Elves, and Hela wounded Alexstrasza and turned a red dragon into a Necrotic Dragon.
  • Agatha absorbed C'Thun's Dark Rays despite Kalecgos and Antonidas's warnings, while Mephisto arrived at Stratholme and offered to protect its residents in exchange for their souls.

Arc 15The Aberrant Gate

Luke prepared Azeroth for Asgard and advanced plans to transform Midgard, while Harry Osborn and his counterpart built an empire around psionic energy. Their research opened a dangerous gate, bringing Doom’s transformation and a battle that drew in the Time Variance Authority and Wolverine.

  • Nightmare seized control of the Emerald Dream as Ysera and the Green Dragonflight confronted his spreading Land of Abnormality, while Mephisto pressured Stratholme’s leaders and Hela and Skasa defeated the dragonflights’ champions.
  • Luke brought the World-Soul Azeroth to Asgard, where Odin, Frigga, Karnilla, and Thor placed it in the realm’s core and began rebuilding Asgard’s protections.
  • Harry Osborn joined forces with his counterpart, used the Lizard Formula to revive Osborn Industries, and recruited Reed Richards and his colleagues to research psionic energy.
  • Reed’s experiments opened a growing gate, and Harry’s team identified its threat as the military and others began investigating the portal and the giant eye beyond it.
  • Doom attacked Reed’s group, drew power from the gate, and transformed into a monster as his psychic influence drove Ben and others into a battle against him.
  • Big Harry and Little Harry arrived to slow Doom’s mutation, but they warned that he had become a Dark Psionic Energy contamination source that could not simply be killed.
  • Betsy and Wolverine joined the fight, and Wolverine’s claws damaged Aberrant Doom’s healing before Doom released his excess psychic energy into a giant one-eyed creature and regained some reason.

Arc 16Darkseid and the Abyss

After containing the aberrant threat, Reed and his companions entered the Data Dimension while Luke’s allies faced Abyssal contamination and Darkseid’s invasion. Betsy, Thor, and Stephen confronted Darkseid on a collapsing satellite, where Stephen realized Giant could trim time and erase the Omega Effect from the battle.

  • Wolverine Logan subdued Aberrant Doom with Golden Spears and sealed his chaotic energy, then brought Reed and the others through a dimensional passage to the Time Variance Authority.
  • Reed and his companions settled into the Authority’s world, entered the Data Dimension, and underwent assessments before Reed’s group began exploring its institutions and magic.
  • Nick Fury and Stephen Strange were trapped by black Spectres in Luke’s laboratory, but Betsy cleansed Nick with a White Soul Eater and Luke explained the dangers of Abyssal contamination.
  • Luke agreed to help Nick and Stephen against Darkseid, lending a White Soul Eater and offering other forces, including the sleeping giant Uranus.
  • Stephen, Betsy, and Thor joined Bruce Wayne’s allies as Steppenwolf’s fleet encountered Abyssal creatures, then Thor defeated Steppenwolf and sealed his powers in a bracelet.
  • An Abyssal flood overwhelmed Apokolips, and Darkseid’s attacks failed to stop it before Stephen, Thor, Betsy, and their reinforcements emerged and attacked him.
  • Darkseid fought Stephen and Thor while Betsy’s summoned creatures battled the Parademons, but the Anti-Life Equation failed to control the heroes and an invisible barrier protected Betsy.
  • Betsy removed Stephen, Thor, and her pets from the battlefield as Giant attacked Darkseid, and Stephen deduced that Giant had used the Power of Time Trimming to edit the Omega Effect out of the battle.
