Background / History
Tang Hao was one of the celebrated Haotian Twin Stars alongside his elder brother, Tang Xiao. He possessed the Clear Sky Hammer and became renowned across the continent before his conflict with Spirit Hall changed the course of his life. 7 127
After Spirit Hall pursued Tang Hao and Ah Yin shortly after Tang San's birth, Ah Yin sacrificed herself to protect him. Tang Hao fell into prolonged despair, drank heavily, and became estranged from the Clear Sky Sect after it expelled him; the sect subsequently entered seclusion. He also severely injured the former Spirit Hall Pope, Qian Xunji, who later died from those injuries. 72 126 173
Six years before the early rankings, Huang Tian defeated Tang Hao without using a Martial Soul. Recognizing that he needed a force capable of confronting Spirit Hall, Tang Hao accepted Huang Tian's invitation to join Yanhuang Hall and began cultivating the Nine Heavens Profound Technique. 5
Tang Hao's recovery accelerated after Huang Tian revived Ah Yin. Once she regained human form, he abandoned his unkempt appearance, committed himself to rebuilding his blacksmithing, and sought greater strength to protect his family. 126 127
Appearance
Tang Hao was initially deeply despondent, with an unkempt beard that nearly concealed his face. After Ah Yin's revival, he shaved it away and was later described as appearing to be in his forties. 126 127 173
- Formerly wore a heavy beard and mustache during his years of grief. 126 127
- His aged appearance reflected the suffering he endured after Ah Yin's sacrifice. 127
- Carries the imposing presence of a Clear Sky Hammer wielder and high-ranking Yanhuang Hall Guardian Elder. 128 168
Personality
Tang Hao is driven by fierce devotion to his family. Ah Yin's sacrifice left him vengeful toward Spirit Hall, yet her return gave him a renewed purpose: becoming strong enough that their tragedy could never be repeated. 5 72 127
Though he holds deep personal grudges, Tang Hao obeys Yanhuang Hall's command structure. He spared Yue Guan despite wanting revenge against Spirit Hall because Huang Tian had forbidden attacks on its members. 69 73
He believes hardship is necessary for growth. Tang Hao refuses excessive assistance for Tang San, insisting that his son make his own way and gain experience rather than rely on Clear Sky Sect resources. 127 180
As a craftsman, Tang Hao is patient, exacting, and willing to take risks in research. He prioritizes quality over quick profit and encourages ambitious experimentation even when it may waste materials. 137 308
