As Lelan left to negotiate with the dwarves over Uldaman, Aegwynn reflected on Medivh’s plans, and Diakum began considering who should wield the power of Tyr.

• Meryl explained how Emperor Thoradin died suppressing a Void horror, while Diakum revealed that Zaka'z had only been banished and could return.
• Eredath persuaded Thoradin to become a spirit bound to Strom'kar, and Diakum defeated Thoradin in their contest before Thoradin agreed to guard Lothar.
• Thoradin warned Lothar not to rely on Strom'kar to reunite the human kingdoms and asked Diakum to keep the Light Weaver Warband out of Lothar’s campaign.

• Lelan went to Ironforge to meet the Dwarves while the three dragons flew to the sanctuary.

• Diakum broke through the sealed wall, and Yrel, Lelan, and Tarecgosa dealt with the troggs before the group continued through the Titan defenses.

Aegwynn and the dragons uncovered Tyr’s memories, which showed the Keepers’ deception and Tyr’s guilt over the dragons’ transformation, before the chapter ended with Tyr telling Nozdormu not to revive him.

• Ironaya led Diakum’s group through Uldaman and explained that Loken’s forces had hunted the remaining lucid Keepers, while Archaedas forged Stone Colossi for a desperate last stand.
• Diakum confronted Archaedas with the truth about the Titans’ deaths, and Archaedas opened the way to Tyr’s Legacy and admitted that Tyr had chosen suicide rather than be revived.

Diakum received the Heart of Azeroth and left with the Eredar, and Talondris began teaching Brann how to safely explore Titan facilities.

• Lelan warned Brann Bronzebeard to conceal the dangerous secrets of Uldaman, and Brann resolved to record and investigate them through the Explorers' League.
• Chromie explained the Lifti to Brann, and Talondris clarified the snakemen’s origins before recounting how the Curse of Flesh drove the Earthen and mechanical Gnomes from Uldaman.
• Brann showed Talondris the emblem his ancestor Modimus Anvilmar had carried and invited her and her companions to make their home in Ironforge, but Talondris asked for time to decide.

General Lirath Windrunner brought Khadgar the Book of Medivh, and construction of the Dark Portal advanced as the allies prepared for war. Diakum sent Neri back to Draenor, then found Saloras and Oreses waiting for him aboard the Exodar.

• General Lirath Windrunner arrived at Northshire Abbey with the recovered Book of Medivh, and Khadgar used it to study the Dark Portal’s secrets.
• Lirath and Salorian Dawnbreaker told Khadgar that Dragonborn Knights, including Osma Garithos, were fighting in Lordaeron, challenging his belief that Dragonborn did not exist.
• Diakum gave the Silver Hand Holy Hammer to Sir Tirion Fordring, while Grand Duke Alexandros Mograine showed Fordring a Naaru crystal intended for the Ash Knights’ own holy blades.
• Diakum told Neri that Lothar could reclaim the human kingdoms and rebuild the empire, and Neri departed for Draenor with Old God materials for weapons and armor.

• Stellagosa found Tarecgosa’s icy scale in the corrupted ruins of Ruby Sanctum, sealed the Greater Demon’s remains with frost, and followed the scale south.
• Tarecgosa sensed Stellagosa tracking her and decided to meet her clan instead of continuing to hide, while Imira received an invitation to Nar’thalas Academy.
• Black Dragons chased Stellagosa into an ambush at Blackrock Mountain, wounded her, captured her, and took her dragon whistle.
• Stellagosa awoke imprisoned alongside several tortured Green Dragons and learned that Amygos was missing and the Black Dragons planned to use her as an experimental specimen.
• Amygos brought Tarecgosa to the cave, where she defeated the Black Dragons outside, freed Stellagosa and the Green Dragons, and said she would take them to Thunder Falls for healing.

Diakum discussed the dragons’ plans to rescue Ysera and destroy or secure the Dragon Soul, then authorized Saloras to remake fallen black dragons and appointed Yrel as a Lightforging Artisan. At Blackrock Spire, Orgrim rejected a mysterious guest’s attempt to recruit the War Horde, while learning that Gorehowl had been reforged and the Greater Demon had been found.

• Diakum healed Stellagosa and warned Tarecgosa that Lothar and the dragons might cooperate against Zuluhed and the Dragon Soul, while Tarecgosa insisted they first rescue Ysera.
• Stellagosa revealed that the black dragons planned to join the orcs, serve their arriving Prince, and turn her into a chromatic dragon; she asked to meet the World Mother and apologize.
• Saloras proposed rebuilding captured black dragons’ minds with Void power before Lightforging them, and Diakum approved the plan and appointed Yrel a Lightforging Artisan to teach her the consequences of using that power as punishment.

Orgrim prepared the War Horde to cross the Dwarven Kingdom and hunt Mannoroth the Destroyer, while Grom received a reforged Gorehowl blessed by the Fire Lord. After Kargath won his seventh arena streak, Orgrim said they would soon leave for the real battlefield as the human mages began calibrating the Dark Portal.

• Orgrim explained that he had agreed to cooperate with Emperor Thorisson so the War Horde could pass through the Dwarven Kingdom and reach Mannoroth, warning Grom about the demon’s influence and the need to save Gorehowl for the Polluter.
• Thorisson II finished reforging Gorehowl on an ancient anvil, but Grom rejected the Fire Lord’s proposed new name and absorbed the Flames of Sulfuras into the axe.
• Kargath returned from defeating Lord Rhyolith in the arena and demanded that Thorisson forge him a fist blade, then asked Orgrim when they would leave.

The K'ure Alliance sent its Draenor Expeditionary Force through the Dark Portal to Azeroth, where Stormwind’s leaders assigned the newcomers to battlefields against the Green Skins. As the armies set out, Mar'gok sought a place in the Guardian selection and offered Lothar an alliance between their empires.

• Durotan questioned whether Mar'gok's Dark Portal was safe, while Velen delivered a farewell speech and the Draenor army prepared to cross.
• Mar'gok left his All-Seeing Ring in Draenor's care, then led the Ogre contingent through the portal with Durotan and the other allied forces.
• Archbishop Yula learned that a young Draenei had shaken off his attendants and returned to Azeroth, and she ordered a message sent.
• Llane and Lothar welcomed the expeditionary force; Durotan demanded an immediate campaign, then Gaiara learned her brother had been born and returned through the portal.

Lothar and Diakum reached Tranquil Garden Town and learned that Bolvar Fordragon and Gavinrad had joined the Worgen, while the Bloodfang Pack had become the town’s protectors. Diakum found the gravely wounded Gavinrad and began to Lightforge him, but Goldrinn intervened until the Argus Star Soul stepped in to restrain the White Wolf God.

• Mar'gok froze the river at Jerod Wharf so his ogres could cross, then sent tiger-man scouts into Sunlight Forest, where they encountered Orc hunters and demon wolves.
• Lothar, Diakum, and Mar'gok fought through wolf-infested forest and reached Tranquil Garden Town, where Duke Eberlock told them that the Bloodfang Pack had repeatedly saved the town and that many humans had joined it.
• Duke Eberlock revealed that Bolvar and Gavinrad were with the Bloodfang Pack near Roland's Grave, and Diakum and Lothar set out to find them.
• Anzu told Diakum that Gavinrad was badly wounded and refused Goldrinn's treatment, so Diakum planned to rescue him while Lothar confronted Bolvar.
• Lothar called Bolvar out of the valley, drawing him and the Worgen away, while Diakum slipped into the mine and found Gavinrad gravely wounded beside a wooden Holy Light icon.
• Diakum healed Gavinrad and began the Lightforging ritual, but Goldrinn interrupted; the Argus Star Soul then pulled Goldrinn into a mental realm and overpowered him.

Lothar confronted Bolvar and the Bloodfang Worgen at Roland's Grave, while Diakum negotiated with Goldrinn over the Worgen's fate and the Scytheclaw Druids. The chapter ended with Goldrinn agreeing to let humans establish Lightforged Fangs in exchange for Diakum restoring the Scytheclaw Druids' sanity, though Diakum asked when the Moon Goddess's Scythe would be delivered.

• Lothar tried to bring Bolvar and the Bloodfang Worgen back to Stormwind, but Bolvar insisted that the pack belonged in the forest.

Diakum negotiated with Talgas over the Burning Legion’s plans for Azeroth and a possible meeting between Kil’jaeden and Velen, then purified the Plunder Blades. In Stormwind, Stellagosa reunited with Kalecgos and proposed turning the contest for the Staff of the Guardians of Tirisfal into a way to recruit champions against the Dragon Soul.

• Talgas told Diakum that Kil’jaeden would not send his main forces to Azeroth, while Mannoroth would invade the Eastern Kingdoms and Cenarius would target the Kaldorei in Kalimdor.
• Diakum agreed to arrange a meeting between Kil’jaeden and Velen near the end of the invasion, while Talgas promised to share intelligence about Eonar only when the meeting took place.

• Bolvar returned to Stormwind Keep, revealed his werewolf form, and agreed to fight alongside Llane’s army in Elwynn Forest.
• Bolvar sensed Green Skins near the Mage Quarter, and Diakum warned that Zuluhed’s real target was the king and Lothar.
• Zuluhed entered the keep through a dream portal, summoned demons, and attacked Llane and Lothar with the Dragon Soul.

• Khadgar persuaded the reluctant Rhonin to join the trial and brought him to Karazhan, where Moroes and the Nightborne attendants outfitted him in fine robes and gave him a staff and Dragon Scale sword.
• Rhonin looked into the Fate Rift and saw visions of his death and a happy future with Vereesa Windrunner, whom he then spotted at the banquet.
• Diakum explained that the trial would pit spellcasters against the Shadow Council, while Aegwynn and the others emphasized that rescuing Ysera was the mission’s priority.

• Marshal Lothar held off the undead while Millhouse Manastorm and the other groups advanced toward the Tower of Azora, and Kael'thas assigned his forces and Mar'gok's forces to attack separate fortresses.
