Poisonous Mushroom
"Sean, how are you?"
In a daze, Sean felt a heat in his throat, and the thoughts that had been scattered returned to his head.
He opened his eyes and found Sirius looking at him with concern. Beside him, Snape, his hand still trembling slightly, was plugging a Potions bottle with a cork.
"Sean, how does the Slowing Potion feel?" Sirius laughed as he saw that Sean had regained his senses.
Snape responded with a curt taunt, "Wallerup, you're too slow."
"Enough, Severus. Sean's reaction was quick enough. I dare say, when James faced the Golden Snitch back in the day..."
Snape flew into Wrath and rudely interrupted Sirius: "I'm talking to my student. Shut your mouth, you idiot!"
"You..." Sirius showed a displeased expression. He had intended to say something sarcastic, but after seeing Snape's arm, his expression softened, and he finally pursed his lips, "Fine, I won't argue with an injured person."
Sean shook his head, then realized that Sirius and Snape looked very familiar.
It seems that what happened between them twenty years ago was not what they imagined...
However, he could think about that later. He looked towards the center of the room, where Dumbledore was squatting.
How is Nagini?
Sirius smiled broadly, "Oh, Professor Dumbledore said the Blood Curse should have been broken successfully, but I don't know..."
"I just don't know when she'll wake up. Sean, well done," Dumbledore's voice rang out.
He straightened up, Sean saw at his feet that Nagini was still in the serpentine position.
"And her?" Sean asked, puzzled.
"She'll be able to turn back on her own once she wakes up."
As soon as Dumbledore finished speaking, the serpentine Nagini slowly flicked its tail.
Immediately afterwards, Sean saw the thick python spin around in the center, and a beautiful woman wearing a tattered blue corset dress appeared on the ground.
"Welcome back, Nagini." Dumbledore turned around with a genuine smile.
Nagini's eyes were still filled with confusion as she knelt on the ground, raising her hands in a trembling motion.
She examined her hands closely, her lips trembling.
"I..." Nagini looked at Dumbledore, "You are— Mr. Dumbledore?"
"Oh, I'm so old, and you still remember me, Nagini." Dumbledore crouched down, and with a wave of his wand, Nagini's tattered dress returned to its original state.
"I don't remember anything..." Nagini looked very weak and her emotions were somewhat unstable.
Maledictus have no memory of the period during which they transformed into their beast form.
"None of that matters, Nagini. What matters is that you're back." Dumbledore helped Nagini up.
"Now, you need to rest."
But Nagini shook her head. Her pale lips were tinged with an unhealthy reddish-black in the middle. Her expression was bewildered, yet resolute.
"Did I turn into a snake and then many years passed, Mr. Dumbledore? I still remember what you looked like when you were young..."
Dumbledore looked at her and finally nodded slightly.
Nagini looked pained, clutching her head and shaking it repeatedly. "I don't want to... I don't want to..."
Dumbledore waved his wand, and Nagini's hand fell limply to her side; she instantly fell asleep.
"Poor Nagini ...she needs some time to calm down." Dumbledore waved his hand in mid-air, a flash of fire passing by. "We have to take her to the Hospital Wing."
Soon, Nagini was taken to the Hospital Wing by Professor McGonagall, who arrived at the scene. Meanwhile, in Snape's office, Sean secretly glanced at Sirius and Snape.
Professor Dumbledore said that Nagini's Blood Curse had not been completely lifted, and he needed to take some follow-up measures. Then he hurriedly returned home.
In the office, only Sirius and Snape remained, along with the innocent Sean.
The effects of the Slowing Potion hadn't completely worn off yet; he needed to rest a little longer.
"Severus, I have to admit, you are a true Potions genius. You know, Lily spent so much time on this..."
Snape glared at him angrily and said curtly, "She has more to consider than I do—and why aren't you out of here?!"
Sirius leaned lazily against the wall, tapped the large glass jar containing the specimens, and casually said, "It's been so many years since we last saw each other, ever since you and James fell out."
Snape's thin lips trembled even more, and he even pulled out his wand. "Black, now you're playing the good guy again, aren't you? Your filthy, disgusting demeanor never changes!"
Sirius simply flicked the tip of Snape's wand with his finger, then shrugged. "I haven't changed my mind. You were in the wrong. James was a fool too, but at least he..."
"Blake—" Snape's voice was chilling, like Inferi that had just risen from hell.
Sirius just pursed his lips and continued, "They were actually planning to make you Daisy's godfather. Have you ever met Daisy? You have no idea how adorable that child is..."
Snape unleashed a spell from the tip of his wand, striking Sirius squarely.
"Shit!" Sirius was slammed against the wall, and he cursed as he immediately pulled out his wand to retaliate.
Sean's eyes widened. "I'm still here?!"
Fortunately, both of them retained some semblance of rationality, and the spells they used were not fatal. Even so, as they began their standoff, panting heavily, they each sustained some injuries.
Sirius was furious. He raised his voice. "Severus! You're still so childish! James and Lily— "
"Shut your filthy mouth! It's not your place to teach me, you stray dog!" Snape interrupted him rudely, his face expressionless except for his thin lips trembling.
Anger flashed in Sirius's eyes, and he raised his wand even higher.
"Black, you have no right to lecture me. Now shut your mouth and go tell that arrogant fool who's just like you that I've paid back what I owed him!"
Snape slightly raised his chin; his injured arm was still trembling slightly.
A complex look flashed in Sirius's eyes. After taking a deep breath, he nodded stiffly to Sean, then walked out with a livid expression.
Silence returned to the office. Snape stood there, his wand slowly lowered.
He seemed to be talking to Sirius had left, or perhaps he was talking to himself.
"Poisonous Mushroom —their spots never change."
