Newmontgard's Thorn in the Side
Sean lay back down on the bed. He was no longer worried. He hadn't become an Obscurial; instead, Obscurus.
"Could it be considered a blessing in disguise?" Sean muttered as he lay in bed.
However, when it comes to dealing with things related to darkness and negative emotions, whether it's learning Dark Arts, absorbing negative thoughts, or attracting Magic Creature, isn't my ability a bit too exaggerated?
Ten points of Dark Arts Talent actually have this kind of use.
However, constantly facing darkness is not a good thing. The sudden surge of violence made Sean more vigilant. He knew he had to be careful in the future and not rely on his talent to absorb negative emotions. He didn't want to become a twisted monster one day.
After lying down for a while, Sean turned over again. He rummaged through the Potions Lily had given him for a while and then took out a crystal bottle.
It contains a pale blue liquid, and no matter how you shake it, there are no splashes or ripples except that the water level tilts.
Mind Purifier: It can effectively calm a wizard's restless magic and negative emotions. Each dose should not exceed one spoonful (standard silver spoon), with an interval of at least two weeks. Overdose can cause the user to become too calm and even lose their memory.
Mrs. Potter had thoughtfully included the appropriate dosage for various situations. Sean glanced at it and then chose the smallest silver spoon in the bag (this was also a gift from the Potter family, a complete set of Potions tools of various sizes).
After carefully pouring out half a spoonful, Sean put it in his mouth.
It still has that familiar sweet taste. This is Lily's little trick: she tries to improve the taste of Potions without affecting their Potions.
The Potions took effect quickly after entering his mouth, calming Sean's initial agitation and anxiety, and making the flow of magic within his body much more peaceful.
"That feels good..." Sean smiled contentedly.
After drinking the Potions, Sean slept soundly. When he woke up, Dave told him that the Obscurus had not made any unusual movements, which made Sean quite happy.
Looking out the window, Sean realized it was already evening. He left his dorm room to go to the Great Hall for dinner.
As soon as he stepped out of the passage, he saw Hermione sitting alone in a chair, lost in thought.
Good afternoon, Hermione.
"Sean?" The girl stood up abruptly. "I haven't seen you for the past two days. What have you been up to?"
"Oh, Professor Dumbledore asked me for a favor, and I went out with him," Sean replied with a smile.
Hearing that Dumbledore was with him, Hermione breathed a sigh of relief. She looked at Sean with a hint of helplessness and said reproachfully, "I thought you were out doing something against school rules again in the middle of the night."
"Come on, Hermione, I'm very law-abiding." Sean shrugged.
"Does following the rules mean getting the most detentions and the most demerits among first-year students?" Hermione sat back down in her chair.
"That was just an accident," Sean said, sitting down next to her. "Besides you, I also got the most bonus points."
"If you hadn't lost so many points to Snape, you would have been number one." Hermione pursed her lips.
"Snape deducts points based on his mood, and Harry lost more than twice as many as I did," Sean retorted, dissatisfied.
Hermione glanced at him helplessly and finally decided not to argue with Sean anymore. Sean didn't talk much, but he always had a bunch of fallacies, and he was also very good at changing the subject.
She now understood that Sean's gentlemanly demeanor stemmed partly from his good upbringing and partly from a deliberate act, with the simple purpose of making him more deceptive when plotting against people.
Sean casually leaned back on the sofa and changed the subject. "What were you spacing out about just now?"
At this point, Hermione became sullen. "I got an O in Potions, but not a perfect score. I actually misremembered such a simple point, and there were also flaws in the Potions- making process..."
Seeing that the girl was about to start nagging again, Sean quickly interrupted her, "What about the other subjects?"
Hermione looked at him questioningly. "They're both Omes."
Sean: "..."
He suddenly didn't want to talk anymore.
The final exam results came out, Hermione unsurprisingly came in first in the grade, with Sean close behind.
The students of Newmontgard swept first place in all their exams except for the first grade. They were obviously quite satisfied with the result, but the fact that the annoying Sean had beaten them again was a considerable disappointment.
But he was only second, the Newmontgard consoled themselves with that thought.
However, thanks to the Weasley brothers ' promotion, the fact that Hermione Granger, the top student in the first year, was actually Sean Wallerup's girlfriend was inexplicably spread.
Sean wanted to explain, but Hermione said it was alright.
She'd been annoyed by those Newmontgard for a long time, and as long as she could make them unhappy, she didn't care about rumors!
That's what the girl said.
Sean could only shrug and say, "That's settled then."
The next morning, the Newmontgard were even more unhappy, Sean received a long, thin package.
It was an extremely beautiful Flying Broomstick, Sean, who unpacked the package right there at the dining table, attracted everyone's attention.
"Nimbus 2001?" Ravenclaw Quidditch captain Roger Davis immediately surrounded them, his eyes filled with envy and amazement.
"Wallerup, where did you get this? The Nimbus Racing Broom Company's announcement said this broom wouldn't be officially released for another month!" Young Master Malfoy looked at Sean in disbelief, his Envy palpable.
Sean shrugged and picked up the card to take a look.
Dear Sean: I believe that wizards still need a Flying Broomstick. You don't necessarily have to play Quidditch, but just like a wand, Flying Broomstick is part of a wizard's romance. So, I took the liberty of giving you this broomstick, and I hope you like it.
Your loyal Sirius Black.
It seems Sirius has quite a wide network of connections, managing to acquire brooms that haven't even been officially released yet. However, Sean suspects he used his financial power.
News of Nimbus 2001 spread quickly among the students. Sean Sean, who wasn't particularly interested in Quidditch, hadn't expected the other students to be so enthusiastic. Throughout the day, people kept approaching him, hoping to see what Nimbus 2001 looked like.
Even the good-natured Sean eventually grew fed up and simply left the Flying Broomstick in the Common Room. Roger Davis, the tour guide, stood menacingly to one side. Visitors had to stand behind a line to enter; touching it was allowed, but only for five seconds, and one would have to endure Roger's fierce gaze.
He received a promise from Sean that he could borrow him for a test flight next semester, which made him value Nimbus 2001 more than his own life.
