The Beginnings of a Zoo?
"Hey, little guy, what are you doing here?!" After returning home, Sean only had time to greet his family before rushing back to his bedroom.
At this moment, he was sitting in a small shed in the ring, which was very similar to the layout in Professor Scamander's box, except that the space was much smaller and the outside was bare, except for a few mountain areas—the favorite habitat of Wampus Cat.
The Wampus Cat happily circled around him a few times, and then forcefully shoved its huge, furry head into Sean's arms.
"Hehehe, we're talking about serious business." Sean pushed the Wampus Cat's head forward.
The Wampus Cat tilted its head and looked at him with a puzzled expression, then quickly ran back to its living area. Soon, it returned dragging a large iron bucket, with a card in its mouth.
After glancing at the card, Sean sighed and rubbed his forehead. He was all too familiar with Professor Scamander's handwriting; just like the man himself, the handwriting was meticulous, but every stroke was written with great force.
Dear Sean:
Please forgive my presumption, but ever since you appeased this little guy, it's been going to fight the Runespoor Niffler. The other Magical Creatures are clearly a bit scared; the Erumpent has already poked seven trees to pieces, and my stockpile is rapidly dwindling—I suspect it'll poke my butt next.
Moreover, the Wampus Cat's attitude towards me is rather lukewarm; it doesn't really like talking to me. After thinking it over, I've decided to leave it in your care—it's more obedient to you than Pickett.
As for sending it home, I'll have to think of a way. It's obviously not very reliable to let you go to America alone, and as for me, due to some minor accidents when I was young, the Ministry of Magic isn't very welcoming to me, which is a real shame.
Moreover, if my wife Tina found out that I had brought Magical Creatures with me and a little wizard along to smuggle myself into America, she would kill me and make our three Kneazle, Hobbie, Mili, and Moehler, urinate on my corpse.
Give me some time, and I can think of a good way besides smuggling.
Don't worry about it escaping. I'm quite experienced; I've enchanted the ring's exit, so the Wampus Cat can't get out without your permission—nor can any other animal.
Also: This guy has an enormous appetite and is quite picky about food; you need to teach him to change that habit.
Your loyal Newt Scamander
Sean: "..."
He looked up at the sky helplessly, but could only see the ceiling of the shack.
Why is it that none of the old men he knows are particularly... particularly normal?!
The Wampus Cat blinked its sapphire-like pupils. It couldn't see through Sean's thoughts, but that didn't stop it from being affectionate towards Sean.
"Alright, alright." Sean hugged the Wampus Cat, which was bigger than himself, and stroked its fur vigorously.
Sean only stopped moving with difficulty when the Wampus Cat let out a comfortable meow.
He wiped the sweat from his forehead and finally smiled, "Stay with me for now."
"Meow~" the Wampus Cat let out a joyful roar.
Sean's summer vacation has begun, and he was initially a little out of sorts, since he could no longer cast spells. However, the Magical Creatures quickly helped him get back into the swing of things.
It wasn't good for Dave and Naja to keep on his person, Sean simply ordered various magical plants and rocks from Diagon Alley. As long as the boxes were opened, a small patch of forest or a small rock would automatically appear on the ground.
Sean bought a lot of things and then arranged them nicely in his ring. Dave and Naja didn't mind staying with Sean all the time; on the contrary, they were quite happy.
However, with Sean by their side, returning to the forest is a good option, just like a short trip.
The Wampus Cat was extremely happy. Unlike before, when Sean could only visit it once every few days, this place was much more comfortable. Every day, it could smell Sean's pleasant scent, and he would always bring it all kinds of delicious meat!
The Wampus Cat were quite happy with their meal. Mr. Wallop was very wealthy, and as long as Sean asked, all kinds of fresh meat would be delivered immediately, including food for Dave and Naja.
Sean also named the Wampus Cat Pudding. The little guy's tastes were quite similar to his own; he loved all kinds of meat and didn't like desserts. Wallerup's homemade crème Pudding was the only dessert that the two of them liked.
Moreover, Sean originally thought that Pudding wouldn't get along with Dave and Naja, but to his surprise, his stern advice had no effect at all. The Wampus Cat who liked to be petted, the grumpy Swooping Evil, and the sensitive and gentle Occamy, the three Magical Creatures, quickly reached a consensus.
Follow Sean, and you'll have a good life.
Hands that exude a wonderful scent will always caress them, and they will be given a constant supply of their favorite foods.
In fact, the three of them even have perfectly compatible diets. Dave eats brains, Pudding eats meat and bones, and Naja loves to eat offal. Whether it's beef, lamb, pork, chicken, duck, or goose, the three Magical Creatures don't waste a single bite.
Sean's summer vacation suddenly became very fulfilling. He studied his textbooks every day, and the two golden notebooks benefited him greatly. In his free time, he played with his sister Ayla and the three animals.
The three little guys were very lenient with Ayla. The four-year-old girl could use the Occamy as a slide, the Wampus Cat became her mount, Swooping Evil could take her flying around a few times. Ayla was having a blast every day.
Moreover, Sean learned from Dave that Ayla smelled wonderful, Sean to suspect that his sister had a high Magical Creature Affinity, which almost proved that she could enroll at Hogwarts at the age of eleven.
When the time comes, I'll get Ayla a little space to raise some cute little ones too... Sean, lying on the chair, smiled as he watched Ayla playing happily with the three little ones, his mind already starting to think about things several years from now.
"Sean! Quick, help me catch Pudding, hehehe!" Ayla's happy laughter came over.
"They're here!" Sean yelled and rushed forward, and the two of them and the three beasts started frolicking together.
"Sean, your friend's parents are wizards, right?" Early in the morning, the Wallerup family sat on the sofa, and the father Allen, even changed into a shirt, looking very formal.
"Come on, Dad, you don't have to be so nervous." Sean looked at his father with amusement. He had received a letter from Hedwig, in which Harry invited him and Hermione to Godric's Hollow to attend his and his sister Daisy's birthday party.
The brother and sister were born exactly one year apart, and their birthdays were on the same day.
