Dumbledore's Weakness
"Lord Grindelwald, the banquet is about to begin. Will you be attending?" In Austria, on the top floor of a towering building, a middle-aged witch stood gracefully in the center of the room and asked respectfully.
Grindelwald, who was writing something on his desk, said in a relaxed and comfortable tone, "Of course, of course, after all, I deliberately started a day later Hogwarts —after all, I also have to inform our students that this summer vacation is only half-day."
He looked up, his smile gentle, "Vita, you've been leading the Academic Exchange with Hogwarts this time. Thank you for your hard work."
"No, I am ashamed that I have not met your requirements."
Grindelwald waved his hand dismissively. "You're setting your standards too high, Vita. It's the kids who are way too arrogant."
He stood up and looked out the window. "Arrogance is not a bad thing, wizards should be like that, but when facing equally noble people, having strength allows one to hold their head higher—it would be good if they realized this sooner."
"You're becoming more and more lenient, Lord Grindelwald," Vita said with an expression of admiration. "You're only making them take extra classes for a month. I was originally planning to put them in solitary confinement for a while."
"Vita, you've been the Vice Principal for so many years now, you should probably change that temper. Of course, I've always admired your strict requirements for education," Grindelwald said with a smile.
"Yes, sir."
Grindelwald turned around and picked up a bottle in the center of the desk. It was empty, but the bottle walls would occasionally turn black.
"Vita, tell Macdouff that we don't need to continue the research."
"Yes, sir." Vita immediately agreed, then asked softly, "Is there anything you're not satisfied with? Is it the long activation time, or the ease with which it can be detected? I can have Macdouff ..."
"No need," Grindelwald waved his hand. "It was my oversight. I thought it would be enough to fool Albus, but I didn't expect Moody's nose to be as sharp as his prosthetic eyes. Old Auror are still worthy of respect."
"Then you need me?" Vita narrowed his eyes.
"Oh, Vita, you need to change your ways. Moody is an old friend of Albus, so he's our friend too," Grindelwald said with some dissatisfaction.
"I understand, Lord Grindelwald." Vita immediately lowered his head.
"The previous research sample was quite good at concealment, but unfortunately, its own smell was too strong. If you applied it to a blanket, it would be discovered immediately... Fortunately, nothing went wrong in the end," Grindelwald toyed with the glass bottle in his hand for a moment, then casually tossed it to Vita: "Take good care of it."
"Including the previous ones?"
"Yes, they're all useless now. Apart from Sean, those kids don't need or can't use this, and I haven't seen Obscurus much in recent decades—but that's a good thing, very good."
After Vita left, Grindelwald changed into a gorgeous evening robe. He casually glanced at himself and frowned with some displeasure.
Grindelwald took out his wand and touched his robe, which instantly turned bright red. If Sean were here, he would have started to think to himself: Dumbledore wore the same robe to the banquet.
Grindelwald put away his wand, straightened his collar, and nodded in satisfaction.
"Albus, aside from your taste in clothes, your biggest weakness is—you're too great," he muttered to himself, then smiled with delight.
Meanwhile, Sean was already seated in the Hogwarts Express carriage. The train was about to arrive at the station, and the group had changed into ordinary casual clothes.
"Sean, I'm serious, you absolutely have to come visit me, I'll come pick you up!" Harry, Ron, and Neville squeezed together on one side, and he said to Sean with a big smile and excitement.
"Of course, I'd love to. We can contact each other by owl." Sean agreed. He couldn't use his wand at home, but he could at Harry's house.
The Trace on underage wizards can only detect magic within a certain range, not pinpointing which wizard cast it. Therefore, young wizards in the Wizarding Family rely entirely on their elders for supervision.
Clearly, neither Harry's father nor his godfather were people who liked to follow the rules...
"Daisy should be coming to Hogwarts next school year, right?" Hermione asked.
Sean didn't tell Hermione about Daisy; it was a family secret, and he wanted to respect his friend's privacy. However, Harry clearly considered Hermione, who had been with Sean the whole time, as one of his own, and during the journey, Harry himself revealed everything.
However, Sean felt that Harry probably had other motives, namely to find a reliable upperclassman to take care of his younger sister who was about to start school, and the only girl he knew was Hermione he met through Sean.
Although Harry was quite popular with the girls in Gryffindor, he spent all his time with Ron and Neville...
Now, whenever Daisy is mentioned, Harry can't stop smiling. He nods happily. "Yes, Daisy is ready to enroll. My goodness, you can't believe how excited she is."
He then looked at Sean: "Hey, buddy, she's been talking about that secret about the Sorting Hat you mentioned."
Sean smiled and nodded, "I'll tell her then."
To be honest, Sean is already considering whether to bring Daisy to Ravenclaw. If Daisy becomes his junior, Snape still dare to speak loudly to him? Hmm?!
Well, it seems like he still dares to... After all, Snape didn't exactly give Daisy's own brother a friendly look either...
Forget it, let's respect the child's wishes. I, Sean, am not the kind of guy who likes to control other people's lives!
As the young wizards chatted and laughed, the sky grew darker and darker, and they drew closer and closer to King's Cross Station.
Finally, they crowded off the train. The withered old guard stood at the exit, allowing only two or three people to pass at a time, so as not to attract the attention of the Muggle by suddenly surging out in a large group.
Amidst the noise of the crowd and the strange cries of pets, Sean smiled and said goodbye to his friends one by one. He and Hermione pushed their luggage out of the platform together.
He saw his family waiting for him on the other side, Sean couldn't help but smile. He warmly hugged his family and politely greeted the Mr. and Mrs. Granger.
After agreeing with Hermione on a date to go out together during the summer vacation, Sean got into Mr. Wallop's newly purchased luxury car.
He stretched comfortably in the back seat until his sister Ayla exclaimed, "Sean, your ring is moving!"
Sean also sensed the ring's unusual activity. He closed the back window, zoomed in on the ring amidst Ayla's gasp, and then poked his head inside.
A large six-legged cat stood upright, shaking the ladder vigorously with its two front paws like a muscular man. When it saw Sean stick his head in, it quickly and obediently sat back down on the ground and tilted its head at Sean.
"Meow?"
Sean: "..."
