Snape Wasn't Very Happy

Someone's going to be in trouble... Sean thought gleefully.

Sean, who was constantly targeted by Snape, was more than happy to have a few more unlucky guys help him take the hits.

Daisy was petite; when she sat on the high stool, her thin legs dangled in the air, and the Sorting Hat almost covered her mouth.

One minute, two minutes, five minutes...

Ten minutes passed, and the Sorting Hat still hadn't spoken.

"Did Daisy start talking to the Sorting Hat?" Hermione asked from the side. This time, she didn't even need to lower her voice, because the students in the Great Hall had started whispering among themselves.

"Probably..." Sean looked at Daisy, whose thin, short legs were swaying back and forth.

At the long table of teachers, the professors chatted with smiles. Although hat-wearing was rare, it was not a particularly unusual phenomenon after the number of students had increased in the last hundred years.

After Sean's embarrassing 30-minute cap mishap last year, the professors weren't as surprised anymore.

"The Potter family' youngest daughter, my goodness, looks just like Lily," Professor Flitwick remarked to Professor Sprout beside him.

Sprout nodded. "I even remember their time at school—I wasn't too happy when Remus and James were messing around, those guys were way better at causing trouble than Mandrake."

Professor Flitwick stretched out his hand with a sigh, stroking his beard vigorously. "But I must say, those people are all excellent wizards, and very kind people too— Lily even sent me a beautiful set of wine glasses last Christmas."

Beside them, Snape's eyes grew increasingly somber, not only because of Lily's name, but also because Lockhart kept nagging in his ear.

"Severus, I've already seen the brilliance in this little girl—have I not told you that my distant great-aunt also passed down some of her Divination talents to me?" Lockhart leaned back in his chair, flashing his signature charming smile.

"I don't think we're close enough for you to call me by my first name," Snape said coldly, glancing at him.

Lockhart didn't think of himself as an unpopular character at all. He winked mischievously and said, "Maybe we need a Veritaserum to pour our hearts out to each other, haha—I mentioned in 'The Magical Me' that I also have some experience in brewing Potions. If you need, I can send you a copy!"

Snape slowly turned his head. "An excessive amount of Veritaserum will burn out a wizard's brain—which happens to be what I need for some experimental data."

Lockhart gave an awkward laugh, "Severus, a sense of humor, I think a teacher needs a sense of humor..."

Snape had already reached his hand into his clothes.

Lockhart quickly stopped talking, pretending nothing had happened, and went to bother the other professors.

Snape coldly withdrew his gaze, his hand that had been inside his robes slowly moved to his waist, and his other hand reached out as well. Under the long table, Snape's hands clenched tightly together.

He pretended to be indifferent, casually glancing at Daisy, but his breathing became slightly heavier.

The Sorting Hat's black, dirty fabric began to writhe, and it opened its mouth wide, causing Snape to sit up slightly.

"Ravenclaw!"

"Merlin's beard..." Harry opened his mouth, that was his sister!

The Potter family didn't get into Gryffindor!

A round of enthusiastic applause erupted from the Ravenclaw table. Hermione had been smiling and clapping, but when she saw Daisy running excitedly toward Sean, her smile faded and a serious look flashed in her eyes.

"Welcome." Sean smiled and shook hands with Daisy as she sat down.

"Thank you!" the girl said softly and excitedly.

Sean turned his gaze back, and the next little wizard had already stepped forward.

Suddenly, he felt a chilling gaze, like a slippery, venomous snake. Even in the lively Great Hall, Sean felt goosebumps rise on his skin.

Sean's lips twitched almost imperceptibly as he met Snape's gaze.

The other person gave him a cold look, withdrew the knife from their eyes, and acted as if nothing had happened.

Sean pursed his lips. He hadn't guided or hinted at Daisy's entry into Ravenclaw; at most, the little girl felt that Ravenclaw had a familiar older brother figure—that was a bit of an emotional factor. But Daisy was clearly a smart girl, Ravenclaw was a good fit for her.

Besides, even if she doesn't go to Ravenclaw, Daisy will most likely go to Gryffindor. What does that have to do with Slytherin... Sean muttered to himself, then made up his mind.

Starting tomorrow, I'll check my Pumpkin Juice more often.

Daisy's friend, Ginny Weasley, ended up going to Gryffindor, which disappointed the little girl, but she quickly cheered up after chatting and laughing with Sean for a while.

The Sorting Ceremony concluded when the last new student went to Slytherin.

Dumbledore stood up and warmly welcomed all the students. After a brief welcoming speech, the dinner began.

While Slicing Charm the sausage, Sean introduced Daisy to various aspects of Ravenclaw. He was quite eloquent and captivated the young girl who had just enrolled, so much so that she didn't even notice that the lamb on her plate had gone cold.

Moreover, when faced with a beautiful young woman, a man's natural desire to show off will inevitably surface, and Sean is no exception—when the dessert was served, Daisy's gaze towards Sean was already filled with adoration.

"Clang!" The sound of knives, forks, and plates clashing came from the side.

Sean turned his head and saw Hermione forcefully forking a piece of Pudding.

"You can bring the plate right to me, Hermione," he said with a smile.

Hermione twitched her nose and said casually, "I only need a little."

"All right."

When Sean turned back to talk to Daisy, Hermione picked up a fork and poked the soft Pudding a few times.

"I was the one chatting like this last year, ugh!" the girl thought sullenly.

The last dessert disappeared, Dumbledore stood up with a smile.

"Welcome, let me say welcome again," he smiled gently. "Before the delicious food is fully digested and before sleepiness fills your little heads, I have to say a few things to note."

Dumbledore recounted everything Sean had heard last year and introduced Lockhart, the new Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor.

When Lockhart smiled, many girls let out hushed, excited screams, but the two girls next to Sean didn't seem to care much.

Dumbledore concluded, "One last thing, following last year's Academic Exchange, Hogwarts will also send a group of students to Newmontgard— "
