Add Fifty Points
Sean finally had time to think. He had been worried that the other party could contact the Basilisk, so he attacked frantically without stopping.
It seems that Gormlaith can only control the Parseltongue when facing Basilisk. Of course, it's possible she has no opportunity to contact it at all...
The Obscurus power brought by Gormlaith had been completely absorbed by the Obscurus within his body. Sean was worried that he might be affected by negative emotions—he was even preparing to take his medicine.
However, the Obscurus within her body conveyed her thoughts.
Gormlaith did not have the Obscurus living inside her; she simply gained control of a dark power.
"I'm full... thank you for the treat," Obscurus and honest manner.
"You're welcome," Sean replied with a smile.
He looked at Gormlaith, who was completely unconscious and frozen in mid-air.
"Is he trying to fool me?" Sean muttered.
"Acupunct Internus"
Another needle -Stinging Hex was cast, and Gormlaith's eyes, now only showing the whites, flickered, her body becoming even more ethereal.
"It seems not..." Sean nodded.
But how should we deal with the other party?
Erasing a soul is an extremely cruel thing, although Sean has no qualms about getting rid of such a cruel witch ghost.
This guy is ready to kill all the professors; there's no redemption for this kind of deranged psychopath.
However, Sean worried that this would incur some kind of curse, or rather, the sin of others' dissipated souls—just like drinking Unicorn Blood.
With a demon inside you trying to awaken, carrying this kind of burden is clearly not a good thing.
"Should we lock him up first? If all else fails, we can just let someone else do this good thing..." Sean muttered, then opened the ring.
He also had an immature, provocative idea in his mind...
However, the key issue at hand is whether I can keep Gormlaith locked up.
Ghosts can only roam in places they visited in life, Sean doesn't know if the ring he cast the Undetectable Extension Charm on can hold Gormlaith.
Pudding popped out, standing upright with a huge feather fan gripping its two hind legs on its belly.
"Pudding, try to fan her in."
"Meow~" the Wampus Cat responded cheerfully, and then began to fan itself like a human.
Gormlaith's stiff, unconscious body floated up, and to Sean's surprise, she actually floated into his ring.
It seems that the ghosts frozen by the Nihilo Intuor have lost many of their original characteristics...
Riddle's spells are really useful... Sean nodded in satisfaction.
He gave the Cat-Leopard Pudding a good pat, seeking encouragement, and after she returned to her ring, he instructed her, "You're in charge of keeping an eye on her for the time being. If she makes any unusual moves, notify me immediately."
"Meow~"
The bathroom returned to calm. Sean tossed the rooster whose neck Gormlaith had snapped into the ring as an extra treat for Pudding, and then turned on the tap that Gormlaith had turned on.
"Don't waste water resources..." he muttered, and quickly left the scene.
After changing back into his uniform in a secluded spot, Sean went to the stairwell. He had previously asked Naja to inform Professor Scamander just in case, and now he needed to explain.
A moment later, he saw Professor Scamander, Professor McGonagall, and Professor Flitwick rushing over.
The last remaining effect of Felix Felicis gave Sean one last clue.
Don't tell the professors that you've caught Gormlaith.
Professor McGonagall took the lead, her expression serious, with the three silver Patronus Cats already perched on her shoulders.
"Sean, are you alright?"
"I'm fine, professors," Sean said.
Professor McGonagall ran to Sean's side with an agility far beyond her years. She raised her wand to examine him and only breathed a sigh of relief after confirming that Sean had not been secretly cursed or anything.
"Child, Professor Scamander said you saw the ghost of the Gaunt Family?" she asked seriously.
Newt and Flitwick also looked over.
"Yes, Professor," Sean nodded. "I was with the Weasley brothers, and then we were about to separate—you know, there are always a lot of students on the way to the Great Hall, so I didn't go off on my own."
Sean made up an excuse, and he was telling the truth anyway, since George and Fred would vouch for him.
"Then, I saw a strange, semi-transparent figure at the top of the stairs between the first and second floors. Professor, you know, I get along well with ghosts, but I've never seen that ghost before—I was a little curious, so I secretly followed it."
Professor Flitwick, somewhat agitated, shouted in a shrill voice, "Sean! This is extremely dangerous!"
"I know, professors, but I have some little treasures..." Sean revealed a tiny bit of the fiery red tail that Dumbledore had given him. The three professors exchanged glances, looking like they knew Dumbledore had been prepared all along.
Sean continued, "I went over and saw what the ghost looked like. I was pretty sure she wasn't any of the resident ghosts at Hogwarts —then I saw her go to the girls' washroom on the second floor, the one where Moaning Myrtle always stayed."
"I eavesdropped at the door for a while and heard the ghost muttering to herself, saying, 'Disgrace! What a disgrace! As a descendant of the Gaunt family, I cannot allow these people to attend classes at Hogwarts!'"
"Then, I immediately tried to contact Professor Scamander."
Professor McGonagall nodded. "Well done, Mr. Wallop —good heavens, a descendant of the Gaunt Family ..."
The professors frowned; they clearly understood the significance of the surname Gaunt.
Sean blinked. "While I was waiting outside, I suddenly heard a low hissing sound coming from inside, like a snake talking. After waiting for a while, there was no movement inside, so I secretly went to take a look and found that the female ghost of the Gaunt family had disappeared."
Sean packaged his lie, then secretly mixed clues about the Chamber of Secrets into it.
That's... Parseltongue... The three professors exchanged glances and all realized what was going on.
They looked at the washroom, their expressions becoming deep and serious.
Sean even added, "Didn't Moaning Myrtle say she died right there?"
The clues suddenly came together, and even the wizards, who were not good at reasoning, realized what was happening.
"Sean, it seems you've discovered the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets ..." Newt said slowly.
"We need to discuss this." Professor McGonagall glanced quickly at the restroom, then swiftly led them to the office.
On the way, Professor Flitwick said sternly, "Sean, because your behavior violated our rules, Ravenclaw will have twenty points deducted."
"Oh, Professor... alright, I accept the punishment..." Sean said sullenly.
However, Professor McGonagall continued, "For your courage and wit, Ravenclaw gets another fifty points—don't look at me, Filius, I'm fair in my rewards and punishments, adding and deducting points never conflict."
"You're right, Professor McGonagall." Sean beamed.
