Hogwarts Beyond Sight
It was a truly magical experience, Sean thought.
After all, who has ever tried talking to a room?
Yes, just as Ravenclaw granted Sean some authority, Sean, who was in the area, suddenly received a thought.
A strange and bizarre thought popped into Sean's mind, much like how he and Dave could communicate telepathically.
And the owner of that thought seems to be a room...
Room of Requirement.
"It is an honor to serve you, agent."
Suddenly a voice rang in his mind, which startled Sean.
He received Occlumency when he was in first grade, and no other thoughts have ever entered his mind.
But he quickly realized that this was the Room of Requirement...
Just as he paced back and forth in front of the tapestry, the Room of Requirement always seemed to read his true needs.
"Are you the Room of Requirement?" Sean asked again.
"Yes," the Room of Requirement replied curtly.
It's stiff and simplistic, and doesn't seem like a truly intelligent consciousness.
Sean subconsciously activated his Occlumency even faster, and then realized that he didn't seem to need to worry about the room reading his thoughts.
Or rather, its method of reading thoughts is the same as its method of entering the Room of Requirement.
The Room of Requirement will only respond when Sean urgently expresses his needs in his mind.
"Hmm, it seems more like a pre-programmed procedure to answer the questions. Ravenclaw must have used various Memory Magic when it was created," Sean thought to himself.
After thinking for a moment, he asked in his mind, "You said I'm an agent? Then what does my authority include?"
"Yes, Agent, because you haven't yet mastered the Mark. Ms. Ravenclaw, my creator, set all of this up. Your current privileges include: free access to all the inventory here from the past thousand years, and the ability to enter the Room of Requirement at any time from any corner of the main building of Hogwarts Castle —of course, you need a stone wall large enough to open a door. In addition, you can command me to control the movement of the staircase, which was designed by Ms. Ravenclaw and is also within my privileges. In fact, if you pay close attention, you'll find that access to the Room of Requirement is already open to you; you can freely browse it."
The voice of the Room of Requirement in his mind was devoid of emotion, like a withered female clerk reading aloud.
Upon hearing this, Sean assessed the situation and, just as the Room of Requirement had said, he had gained partial control over the place.
He turned to look at the countless doors that were now open to him, doors he could freely enter and exit.
Moreover, he doesn't even need to take a step.
Just like entering the Room of Requirement, you only need to silently recite it.
"I need a comfortable chair."
After three repetitions, a magnificent armchair appeared behind Sean.
However, it was covered in dust.
Well, it's like I now have a built-in search function, but I have to describe it as specifically as possible.
"I need a mahogany chair with a purple velvet back, in perfect condition and without any dust," Sean changed his requirements.
Soon, a brand new chair appeared, perfectly matching Sean's requirements.
"Do you know how to dust?" Sean asked curiously as he sat down in a chair that was clearly out of step with the aesthetics of the time.
"Yes, Ms. Ravenclaw left Scouring Charm. But she didn't ask me to clean all the time, so I'll clean for you if you need it, and not otherwise."
Indeed, without intelligence, it's just a rigid program.
However, that wasn't what Sean needed to worry about. He asked curiously, "Can everything be presented?"
"Ms. Ravenclaw has set certain permissions, and some things are not allowed in normal rooms, but you can borrow them now."
"For example?"
"Please wait a moment..."
On the Seventh Floor corridor, Hermione and Daisy quietly huddled behind a curtain at the corner.
Five minutes ago, Filch had led Mrs. Norris on a menacing patrol, but luckily Daisy had sharp eyes, or they would have been caught.
Behind the curtain, Hermione, resting her chin on her hand, muttered, "Why haven't they come out yet..."
"Could it be that Sean has really been found?" Daisy asked.
"It should be..." Hermione squeezed the Thorn Sheath in her hand.
Dave shifted slightly, as if to express his displeasure.
Since Sean left Dave behind, the two weren't worried about anything happening to Sean.
However, unlike Sean, they couldn't communicate with Dave and could only barely understand what Dave meant by "Sean is okay".
The two were worried that Sean might be doing something important, so they didn't dare let Dave send back a message to disturb him.
So they've been waiting for over an hour.
The two were whispering to each other when suddenly, a familiar voice rang out from beside them.
"Sorry to keep you waiting," Sean said apologetically.
"Sean! You!" Hermione's mouth dropped open as she saw Sean push open a door and walk out, but this wasn't the place where the Room of Requirement open.
Sean closed the wooden door, and soon it disappeared, returning to the wall.
"Here, take this." Sean handed each of them a thick book.
"This is..." Hermione took it with a puzzled look, then covered her mouth in shock.
It was an ancient book bound in thick sheepskin, with a handwritten title on the cover: "One Hundred Spells and Their Origins".
"The legendary spellbook... This book is the source of many modern spells! Many renowned spell masters have publicly stated that they consulted this book when creating their own spells. However, after the Ministry of Magic established the Statute of Secrecy, this book gradually became lost... Sean! How did you get it? I... I asked Professor Flitwick, and he told me that this book isn't even in the Restricted Section!"
Daisy, on the other side, could not hide the excitement in her eyes. She hugged the book "Healing the Body and Then Healing the Mind" to her chest as if it were a precious treasure.
"This one is too. There's very little innovation in contemporary Healing Spell, partly because of the special nature of the spells, and partly because of the loss of ancient Healing Spell... Madam Pomfrey told me that this book is something every healer dreams of, and even St. Mungo's's only has a portion of it!"
Sean smiled. "I've seen you mention several times that you're interested in healers, so I think you'll like this one. Hermione too, you've been complaining lately about the lack of books on the origins of spells. Oh, and I also picked out a gift for myself."
He showed a stack of parchment in his hand, covered with writings in Runes.
Sean's next words almost petrified the two of them.
"The Runes Manuscripts of Rowena Ravenclaw. Although I know my talent is almost beyond saving, I still want to try to salvage it."
"Did you go into Ravenclaw's bedroom?" Hermione asked incredulously.
Sean shrugged. "Actually, it's not that you can't say it like that..."
Hermione & Daisy: "... Huh?!"
After Sean finished telling the two girls about his experience, the two girls were stunned.
Knowing they needed some time to process this, Sean smiled and led the way back to the dormitory, "Let's go back to sleep first. We're all growing kids—but we shouldn't have to worry about being late tomorrow, the stairs won't be winding anymore."
Sean led the two, who were still a little dazed, out of the Seventh Floor corridor. Soon, the stone corridor returned to silence, and darkness filled the entire space.
Soon after, an old figure appeared here.
That was Dumbledore hadn't been to the castle for a long time.
His wise eyes were weary, and his once withered and black hand had returned to normal.
A faint silver light seemed to emanate from the slightly wrinkled pockets of the robe.
Dumbledore took something out of his pocket and glanced at it. It was a glass bottle the size of a fist, and inside were tangled and coiled silver threads.
In the dimly lit, deserted corridor, a fleeting look of heaviness and sorrow crossed Dumbledore's eyes. He put the Memory Bottle back in and then walked to the Tapestry of Barnabas the Barmy Bashing Trolls.
Soon, the wooden door appeared on the stone wall.
Dumbledore pushed open the door, went in, and quickly came out again.
His face showed obvious confusion. "The second time..."
After a moment, Dumbledore shook his head as if helpless and resigned. "Hogwarts, Hogwarts... Even the headmaster can't see through you... I hope it's not a bad thing."
After sighing, he left the corridor on the Seventh Floor.
And just behind the curtain where Hermione and Daisy had just hidden, a wooden door was pushed open.
A petite figure quietly emerged.
She gazed at the spot where Sean had just left, and at the spot where Dumbledore had just left.
That's Stephanie Ollivander.
Her face remained calm, only her eyes flashed with an indescribable struggle.
She held a delicate Monocle tightly in her hand.
"You don't have to hold this book with you while you eat, do you?" Sean said to Hermione with a rather helpless expression at the dinner table.
The latter made a book cover himself and carefully protected the book "One Hundred Spells and Their Origins," which he now takes with him wherever he goes.
This book has been preserved for thousands of years; it must be imbued with magic, otherwise how could it have survived to this day?
"Will you take responsibility if it gets lost?!" Hermione rolled her eyes at him.
"In fact, I can indeed take responsibility."
This book is part of Ravenclaw's private bookshelf collection, or rather, she herself participated in its writing. Sean has partial access, can borrow the book, but no one else can possess it with her permission.
Otherwise, the book might simply disappear on its own after being placed on the table— the Room of Requirement will take it back.
For Sean, the biggest gain from obtaining access to the Room of Requirement was these books and materials.
A complete encyclopedia of spells that has been lost to time, clear tutorials on Ancient Spell, such as more detailed and accurate explanations of Runes found in the Rune Scholar's Office, and a comprehensive collection of information on long-lived ancient magical creatures...
Ravenclaw, thirsting for knowledge, amassed a treasure trove of information, much of which was out of print, and others that were not even found in Hogwarts ' Restricted Section.
In addition, there are "collections" from Hogwarts students over the centuries.
A Flying Broomstick with bare broom branches, an incredibly luxurious diamond-encrusted gold toilet, a complete Werewolf pelt, Knight's Lance stained with blood, terrifying cheese that can knock people unconscious, and an invincible, one-meter-long dried salted fish...
It has everything you can imagine and everything you can't imagine.
There were some things that Sean could use, but he didn't touch some that might still have an owner; after all, he still had that much integrity.
Of course, none of that is the key point. Sean made good use of the Room of Requirement's search function and found that the Ravenclaw's Diadem that Ravenclaw said could help him solve his problem was not in the Room of Requirement.
This was actually within Sean's expectations, so it wasn't a regret.
It's important to know that in this world, Voldemort transferred to Newmontgard midway through his studies. He may not have had time to discover more secrets, and therefore didn't have the chance to deceive Lady Grey —who is Ravenclaw's daughter, Helena.
In other words, Ravenclaw's Diadem is very likely still in the forest where Helena was killed by Bloody Baron.
In that case, if Sean wants to get the Ravenclaw's Diadem, his first target will be Lady Helena.
Sean was quite confident about this.
Because of Helena's aloof personality, most students were unwilling to interact with this beautiful but unapproachable ghost. Sean, however, had already spoken with Helena several times during his first year.
Furthermore, he also won a Ravenclaw outfit in Lottery Draw, one of the set's effects being that it makes it easier to gain favor with Ravenclaw descendants.
Hmm... ghosts should also be considered descendants, right?
In short, Sean, who considered himself quite adept at gaining women's trust, was full of confidence.
Of course, the worst-case scenario is that Ravenclaw's Diadem still falls into Voldemort's hands and is then turned into Horcrux.
Voldemort is even more insane and irrational than in the original books. Although he has died twice on the surface, Sean still thinks that this guy may not be really dead at all.
After all, judging from his crazed appearance, Horcrux.
In this situation, if the Ravenclaw's Diadem were to be turned into Horcrux, then there would be a lot of trouble.
Without Ravenclaw's Diadem, Sean plans to brush up on Runes runes using Ravenclaw's manuscripts, and then try to incorporate the Ravenclaw's Mark once the Ancient One's Sigh have cooled down.
He was very curious to see what a quarter of Hogwarts' power really meant.
However, Sean had a lingering question in his mind: the sigh he had heard in the entrance passage of the Ravenclaw Common Room.
He asked the Room of Requirement, but they said they didn't know anything about door knockers.
Sean could only keep his doubts to himself, hoping that he would get the real answers once he gained Ravenclaw's authority.
After the afternoon classes ended, Sean told Hermione and walked towards the tower alone.
As far as I can remember, Helena liked to linger on the top floors of several towers at Hogwarts; she seemed to really enjoy the views from up there.
It didn't take long for Sean to find Helena, who had a cold expression, and she was looking into the distance from the top of the tower.
"I haven't seen you much lately, ma'am," Sean said, stepping forward to greet her.
Helena turned around coldly, only softening her expression when she saw that it was Sean.
"Hello, Wallerup."
With this chapter released today, the book should now be one million words long. There's really nothing to commemorate, just a feeling of relief that this clueless newbie has actually written a one-million-word novel. Haha—what a strange feeling!
