God Positions

A God Position is the foundation of a formal god's authority, rank, inheritance, and Divine Power. A soul beast may reach million-year power yet remain a soul beast in essence; obtaining a God Position is necessary to become a god. 136

Inheritance

God Positions are generally inherited through an attribute-specific Inheritance Space, a mechanism established after a godhood binds to the God Realm Central Authority. These spaces differ by divine attribute, such as the Sea God's oceanic space, the Angel God's sky-like space, and the Earth God's mountain world. 326

Common components of a Level One God inheritance include:

• Forging Divine Armor, often by dismantling Soul Bones.
• Undergoing trials involving the seven emotions and six desires.
• Passing the God Position's assessments and receiving the godhood. 298 326
• Inheriting a God Position without Soul Bones remains possible, but the resulting Divine Armor is inferior to armor forged using equivalent materials. 326

The Ice God's inheritance was an exception: the God Realm Committee allowed Li Chang'an to inherit directly without the normal Nine Tests. The Ice God's Heart entered his Middle Dantian, carrying both the Ice God's remaining power and God Position. 160

Affinity

God Exam affinity reflects an inheritor's compatibility with a God Position. The Sea God's Divine Power can reshape a candidate's constitution and increase Sea God affinity. 238 324

Li Chang'an attained 100% Sea God Affinity after drawing the Sea God Trident and receiving its recognition. 238

Creating and Dividing Positions

A God King may create subordinate godhoods and use them to cultivate subordinate gods. The subordinate's growth, insight, and comprehension can provide feedback to the superior god. 301

• Li Chang'an could separate the Sea God, Ice God, and Seven Element God Positions because they formed the material foundation of his Great Element God King Position. 301 322

Divine Artifacts

Divine artifacts are weapons used by gods or imbued with sufficient Divine Power. Their grade substantially affects a god's combat capability. 161

Super Artifact	A primary weapon of a Level One God or higher. Super Artifacts are rare strategic assets, and even the Five Great God Kings use them.
Pseudo Super Artifact	Below a Super Artifact but vastly stronger than an ordinary Divine Artifact.
Divine Artifact	Can evolve from a Quasi-Artifact through a god's nourishment, but is normally the highest grade attainable through evolution alone.
Quasi-Artifact	The lowest listed divine-artifact grade; commonly the limit for Third Level Gods.

A divine artifact may be inseparably bound to its corresponding God Position. The Sea God Trident, for example, is a true Super Artifact and a manifestation of the Sea God's authority; Li Chang'an only held temporary usage rights until inheriting the Sea God's Position. 238

Faith Power

Faith Power—also called Sentient Beings' Thought Power in the God Realm—is generated by lower-realm life and supports the God Realm itself. 302

• Faith Power can be filtered and purified by a true god's Godhead, preventing it from contaminating the god's mind. 302
• Wild Gods and Minor Gods without a Godhead can be affected by the mixed thoughts contained in faith, giving rise to the saying that “faith is poisonous.” 302
