Overview

Soul Rings are manifestations of power integrated with a Soul Master's Martial Soul. A Soul Master must acquire a ring at each ten-level bottleneck to continue advancing; accumulated Soul Power is released once the ring is added. Soul Rings also grant Soul Skills, strengthen the user's body, and can enhance or evolve the essence of a compatible Martial Soul. 11

Traditionally, rings are acquired by killing Soul Beasts and absorbing the ring they leave behind. This system is portrayed as one in which Soul Masters plunder Soul Beast talent for their own use. 5 105

Acquisition and Absorption

Soul Beast Rings

When a Soul Beast dies, it may leave behind a Soul Ring containing its Soul Power, soul, Bloodline power, and innate abilities. The acquired Soul Skill is consequently related to that Soul Beast's abilities. 348

A Soul Master cannot pass a ten-level boundary without adding a Soul Ring. Any Soul Power accumulated while blocked at the bottleneck is released after absorption. 11

Each ring typically grants a Soul Skill tied to the absorbed Soul Beast's talent. The seventh ring is exceptional: it grants only the Martial Soul True Body, regardless of ring age. 113 213
