Background / History

Nimel was born into the declining Prodemore family as the daughter of a Marquis. Her and her biological brother Maren’s talent became a burden to the family, which could only afford to cultivate one heir; Nimel was ultimately taken in by the Kolia family. Maren had previously taken her two-star legendary staff, an incident Caroso did not prevent. 6 64

Initially insecure about her place in the Kolia household, Nimel feared that Caroso would discard or send her away for her mistakes. Caroso’s decision to explain his actions and not abandon her over a prophecy gradually changed her view of him and of her own place in the family. 6 8 9

While exploring a dungeon, Nimel encountered a statue of the God of Wisdom. She refused to accept its offer of exclusive Chosen status without consulting Caroso; in response, the deity attempted to drain her power and seize her body. The ensuing events left her with a Divine Spark fragment, divine characteristics, and an incomplete path toward godhood. 135 136 143 145

Her Divine Spark repeatedly exposed her to possession attempts and dangerous surges of divine power. Caroso and Bai eventually destroyed a divine consciousness of the God of Wisdom that had invaded her mind, but the God of Wisdom remained a continuing threat to her identity and body. 198 203 208 455

After being recognized as a True God, Nimel returned to Winter City and became the central figure of the Church of the God of Wisdom. The Church’s faith, resources, and political protection accelerated her growth, while also placing scholarly, military, and religious responsibilities on her shoulders. 371 372 402

Appearance

Nimel is a young mage whose appearance changes visibly when her divine power manifests. She was originally golden-haired, but her hair and pupils can turn blue as the power of the God of Wisdom emerges. 26 91

  • Golden hair in her ordinary state. 26
  • Blue hair, blue pupils, and blue patterns across her body during divine or emotional power surges. 91 138
  • Often carries and fights with a staff. 50 69
  • Wears mage robes when preparing major divination or magic rituals. 476

Personality

Nimel begins as obedient, anxious, and intensely afraid of abandonment. She habitually prioritizes Caroso’s needs, from preparing his food precisely to following his combat commands almost reflexively. 1 9 65

Despite her mild public demeanor, she is proud of the Kolia name and can be ruthless when provoked. Her duel with Maren reveals a calculating side: she refuses to stop until he surrenders and insists that he is still able to fight. 69 70

Nimel is deeply attached to Caroso and measures much of her own worth against his progress. Her desire to fight at his side makes her vulnerable to divine temptation, but she consistently seeks his advice before making irreversible decisions. 114 135 136 371

As the Church’s deity, Nimel becomes more conscious of responsibility. The faith and dependence of her followers make her recognize the pressure Caroso has long carried, motivating her to protect people beyond her immediate family. 402
