Jiang Wantang was found abandoned at the Jiang family’s doorstep as a three-month-old infant during heavy snowfall, wearing a piece of Glazed Ancient Jade. After failing to locate her family, Jiang Chenzhou and Qin Mengxuan adopted her and publicly raised her as their biological daughter; only her adoptive parents and Jiang Jianguo knew the truth. 8

At sixteen, she met Nangong Lingxiang, who had come to the Jiang family because of her connection with Jiang Jianguo. After assessing Jiang Che as unsuitable for martial arts, Nangong Lingxiang accepted Wantang as her disciple instead.
