Shen Jin expanded his underground base, learned about the evolving Zombies and the Gene Lock, and rescued Yang Ao before heading back to Wanyu Company. He saved Shang Qian and Sun Can from Lu Qiang and the Zombies, then brought them through the tunnel toward his home, where Li Moxiao confronted him about secretly eating steak.

• Shen Jin used his hidden base to trap Zombies, gather supplies, and learn from government broadcasts about mutations and the dangers of the Gene Lock.
• Shen Jin freed Yang Ao from the pit after Yang Ao offered information about two vials of Gene Optimization Serum, and agreed to let him join the Gathering Place.
• Shen Jin returned to Wanyu Company and intervened when Lu Qiang attacked Shang Qian, but Lu Qiang awakened his combat instincts and seized Shen Jin.
• Sun Can fought Lu Qiang after taking a Zombie Crystal Core, defeated him, and collapsed as the other survivors gathered to face the Zombies climbing the stairs.
• Shen Jin sealed the stairway and windows, then agreed to take Shang Qian with him after a series of misunderstandings about his relationship with Sun Can.
• Shen Jin led Shang Qian and the unconscious Sun Can into the tunnel on folding electric bikes, then returned to seal the entrance and left Shang Qian waiting.
• Shen Jin tried to feed his guests a modest meal, but Li Moxiao woke and accused him of hiding steak, so he gave her steaks and cornbread before Shang Qian arrived.

Shen Jin expanded his fortified territory, recovered Gene Optimization Serum from the laboratory, and recruited survivors to meet a system mission. The settlement began organizing its residents for work as Shen Jin and Yang Ao continued searching for survivors.

• Shen Jin and Yang Ao cleared a farmland area of Zombies, killed a Jumping Zombie and an Iron Bucket Zombie, and completed the mission to enclose a territory larger than one thousand square meters.
• Shen Jin broke into Future Human Pharmaceuticals’ laboratory, where he and Yang Ao found Fu Wei, the surviving chief engineer, and recovered two bottles of Gene Optimization Agent and the laboratory data.
• Yang Ao and Shen Jin drank the Gene Optimization Serum, and Yang Ao emerged with roughly double his former physical ability.
• Shen Jin completed the settlement walls, crafted an Enchanting Table, and received a mission to house thirty survivors for seven days.
• Shen Jin and Yang Ao rescued Shen Jin’s former coworkers from the Wanyu Group building and brought them through an underground passage to the walled courtyard.
• Yang Ao established rules for the new residents and brought food to the women’s dormitory, while Su Lele later visited Shen Jin for a massage.
• Shen Jin and Yang Ao searched the building marked “Kind Auntie,” found a surviving middle-aged couple, and led them back toward the settlement.
• Shen Jin and Yang Ao organized the thirty-one residents into greenhouse construction, clothing production, and wall patrol teams, while an unknown figure appeared on a rooftop during the rescue.

Shen Jin organized the settlement and expanded Fu Wei’s research as a massive zombie horde forced everyone to flee. The survivors became separated and fought powerful zombies, while Shang Qian drank Fu Wei’s unfinished serum and Li Moxiao awakened her gene lock to protect Shen Jin.

• Shen Jin put Shang Qian in charge of the settlement, and she established work rules and punishments while Yang Ao enforced them.
• Fu Wei proposed a laboratory to produce Gene Optimization Serum, and Shen Jin built it and upgraded his industrial capabilities after the settlement survived a zombie attack.
• Shen Jin distributed compressed biscuits to earn residents’ gratitude and completed a quest, while Zhao Hong continued enduring Ma Sanxiong’s abuse.
• A massive horde led by a Big-Head Zombie advanced on the settlement, and Hu Shou’s broadcast revealed that the capital had fallen and authorities had retreated to Tibet.
• Black insects overwhelmed the settlement and villa, forcing Shen Jin to lead the survivors toward the Seaside Villa, and Ma Sanxiong died from the insects, and they consumed Zhao Hong as she stayed with him.
• Shen Jin and Yang Ao killed a pursuing Super M-Type Zombie, but more hordes blocked their route and split the group amid the fighting.
• Shen Jin, Yang Ao, and Li Moxiao fought a Super M-Type Zombie and a Giant Zombie while Shang Qian drank Fu Wei’s unfinished serum.
• As the Giant Zombie reached for Shen Jin, Li Moxiao unlocked her gene lock and rushed to protect him.

Shen Jin and Shang Qian escaped the Q City horde and established a fortified settlement at Red Water Bay, rescuing survivors and forming a self-defense force. Shen Jin expanded his industrial capabilities and prepared to hunt evolved zombies for crystal cores, while Shang Qian and Shen Mengmeng competed for his attention.

• Li Moxiao pushed her Gene Lock to its second stage, killed the Big-Head Zombie, and collapsed, while Shang Qian teleported herself and Shen Jin away from the horde.
• Shen Jin woke on a beach with the unconscious Shang Qian, built them a shelter, and mourned their missing companions.
• Shen Jin and Shang Qian reached Red Water Bay, killed Zhang Ji’s gang, and rescued eight captive women.
• Shen Jin established a development plan, fortified the headland, and organized newcomers into settlement zones while completing quests for World Coins and resources.
• Shen Jin expanded his workshop with generators, ore-processing machines, and mining tools, while Shang Qian helped manage food and care for the residents.
• Shen Jin recruited ten people under Zhao Chao’s instruction, formed the Red Water Bay Self-Defense Force, and promised loyal members armor, supplies, and a chance to become superhuman.
• Shen Jin completed the armed squad quest and unlocked Basic Industry III, while the Heaven and Earth Net Bureau reported that crystal cores could help people survive gene-lock backlash.
