After leaving the bar, Guchuan grew angrier the more he thought about it.
Anyone would be upset after getting beaten up for no reason. Guchuan had not suffered such indignity in a long time.
After thinking it over for a while, Guchuan decided Gin probably would not kill him, so he decided to do something outrageously reckless.
"Hello! I want to report a crime!"
"Yes, I'm a minor. I'm reporting a bar that openly lets minors in and tricks them into spending money."
"Boss, this is bad! The bar's been surrounded by the police!"
The moment Gin heard the news, he instinctively reached for his gun, but after fumbling around for a while, he could not find his sidearm.
"Bastard!"
The police came quickly and left just as quickly.
"Boss, who do you think spread that rumor about us tricking minors into spending money?" Vodka asked, his face swollen like a pig's head.
"Who else could it be? That brat, of course."
Gin had a cigarette dangling from his lips, but the lighter he had used to light it had vanished without a trace.
That brat had gone too far. If he did not teach him a profound lesson, he would never learn to repent.
"Do we still have any Anesthetic Guns?" Gin asked.
"There should be one left in the bar, but there are only a dozen or so Anesthetic Needles left," Vodka said.
"Stock up on more."
On the dimly lit street, Guchuan was in a cheerful mood after getting back at Gin. Even if Gin beat him up again, it would have been worth it.
"Whoosh!"
A vintage car sped straight toward Guchuan.
Guchuan hurriedly climbed a utility pole by the roadside. The vintage car stopped just before crashing into it.
Two Men in Black got out, one of them holding a gun.
"Vodka, what the hell are you doing?"
Guchuan jumped down from the utility pole.
"Boss, I seriously suspect Vodka is an undercover agent planted in our organization by the Japanese Police. If I hadn't reacted so quickly, the organization would have lost an elite member."
Vodka's mouth twitched, but he did not pay attention to Guchuan's nonsense.
With the boss hating Guchuan so much now, wouldn't Guchuan badmouthing him only make the boss trust him even more?
"Were you the one who brought the police here?" Gin asked.
"What police?" Guchuan frowned, looking utterly bewildered.
Gin raised the Anesthetic Gun and aimed it at Guchuan.
That act was so fake. He really ought to go study in Hollywood.
Conan rubbed his neck as he crawled out of a trash can. Standing on the street, he sniffed his hand.
"Bleurgh~"
Conan leaned against a wall and dry-heaved.
"Which bastard threw me into a trash can?" Conan's face was filled with fury.
He remembered leaving home to look for information about that mysterious organization, then being knocked unconscious by someone.
Conan thought for a while but could not figure out who had knocked him out.
If it had been that mysterious organization, they would either have silenced him or taken him back as a test subject. They would not have simply thrown him into a trash can and left him there.
Could it have been Guchuan?
Beep, beep~
Conan received an email on his phone.
Guchuan: Tokyo Tower. Save me.
"What!?"
Guchuan had to have been kidnapped by that mysterious organization!
Without caring about anything else, Conan randomly stole an electric scooter from the street. Amid the owner's curses, Conan sped farther and farther away.
"Guchuan!"
"Guchuan!"
"Guchuan, where are you?"
"Conan, I'm above your head!"
"Huh? Above my head?" Conan looked up and spotted someone hanging from Tokyo Tower.
Guchuan was wrapped up like a dumpling and hanging from Tokyo Tower. He was not hanging very high; as long as he did not land headfirst, the fall would not kill him.
"Were you tied up here by people from that organization?" Conan asked, craning his head upward.
"Get me down first, kid."
"Right, right."
Conan smashed the electric scooter's rearview mirror and began climbing Tokyo Tower with a shard of glass.
Little by little, he wore through the rope, and Guchuan fell down.
"Guchuan, are you okay?"
"I'm fine. It won't kill me." Guchuan pulled the ropes apart bit by bit.
"Did you find the people from that organization?"
"That's right." Guchuan nodded.
Then Guchuan described to Conan the scene of his fierce battle with The Winery.
Conan had been knocked unconscious by the organization, and Guchuan had risked his life to hide him in a trash can. Then he had fought the organization's members desperately, only to be outnumbered and captured in the end.
"Did the people from that organization only tie you up at Tokyo Tower?" Conan asked suspiciously.
Given how brutal that organization was, they definitely would not simply hang someone up and leave it at that.
"Yes, but I think they made me take some kind of medicine."
"What!?" Conan was greatly alarmed.
"What medicine was it? Is there anything wrong with your body now?"
"It seemed to be some kind of capsule. I didn't feel anything after taking it." Guchuan lied through his teeth.
After Gin anesthetized him, he woke up tied to Tokyo Tower. Apart from several painful bruises from being struck with a stick, nothing else had happened to him.
He only claimed he had taken medicine to fool the little detective.
"That medicine might be the same one that made me shrink! Hurry to the hospital and get checked!" Conan said anxiously.
"I don't feel anything. Maybe there was something wrong with the medicine they gave me." Guchuan sounded unconcerned.
"That medicine might be a poison developed by their organization. You shrank because of its side effects, while nothing happened to me because of an accident. That's perfectly normal."
Conan thought it over and felt that Guchuan's explanation actually made some sense.
If that organization knew about the medicine's side effects, they definitely would not have simply dumped him at an amusement park. And Guchuan really had shown no reaction.
What the heck!
The poison that organization had developed was so lousy, yet they used it with such confidence. Suddenly, the organization did not seem all that impressive.
"But just to be safe, you should still go to the hospital for a thorough examination," Conan said.
"I will, but we should go back first. Ran and Little Ai must be worried," Guchuan said to Conan.
Conan nodded, but then suddenly stopped walking.
"What's wrong?" Guchuan asked.
"That organization already knows we're investigating them. If we go back now, we'll definitely drag Ran and the others into this."
"They didn't actually see your face," Guchuan reassured him.
"Everything happened too suddenly. When you were attacked, I hid you right away. So they didn't get a good look at what you looked like. Besides, kids change the fastest. Maybe you'll look completely different in a few months."
"The worst-case scenario is that they saw your face clearly, but if they investigate your connections, Ran and the others definitely won't escape notice."
Conan clenched his fists. Seeing Guchuan covered in injuries, he was overwhelmed by guilt.
"I'm sorry, Guchuan. I dragged you into this."
They might not have gotten a clear look at his face, but they definitely knew what Guchuan looked like. If they found out Guchuan was still alive, they would surely come after him again.
"It's fine!" Guchuan patted Conan on the shoulder, looking utterly open-minded.
"Who am I? They might not really dare to kill me. Besides, we're brothers. Why are you apologizing?"
Conan's eyes grew moist.
Guchuan!
Damn it, why are you so good to me!
Conan silently swore that he would protect Guchuan in the future, even if it cost him his life!
Before you continue
