"What is it?" Little Ai asked as she opened the door.
"I heard from the teacher that you took a leave of absence, so I came to check on you as a classmate," Conan said.
"And?"
"Where's Guchuan?" Conan scratched the back of his head awkwardly.
"In the bedroom. Go find him yourself."
After letting Conan in, Little Ai ignored him. She put the breakfast Guchuan had refused to eat into the fridge, then returned to her room.
If he wasn't eating breakfast, then he had better not eat lunch either.

Conan rushed anxiously into Guchuan's bedroom, only to freeze when he saw the two pairs of shoes beneath the bed.
Why was there a little girl's pair of shoes in Guchuan's bedroom? And right beside Guchuan's bed, at that!
"Conan, you skipped school again?" Guchuan turned over.
"No, I asked the teacher for leave," Conan said without so much as a blush.
Guchuan nodded. Lying was the bare minimum requirement for a member of a criminal organization, and Conan had clearly met that standard. Once Guchuan became the one calling the shots in the organization, Conan would have to be his right-hand man.
