Xiang Tian’s Enrollment and the Ding Family Conflict
Qiu Changfeng receives Xiang Tian at Changning Immortal Academy after being instructed by Changning Immortal King to accommodate him completely. He provides Ding Yang’s information, arranges Xiang Tian’s placement in Class A-A, and permits him to pursue revenge for Little Huang. 1
When Ding Chongshan arrives to demand his son and Xiang Tian, Qiu Changfeng summons the faculty, prepares to defend Xiang Tian, and refuses to let the Ding family dictate academy affairs. 3
Sword Comprehension Stone
Qiu Changfeng reveals the academy’s Sword Comprehension Stone, which contains Changning Immortal King’s Sword Intent. On the Immortal King’s instruction, he encourages Xiang Tian to refine it rather than allow Sinan Yao to claim more of its power. 6
After Xiang Tian destroys the stone and absorbs its Sword Qi, Qiu Changfeng supports the academy’s policy that “the capable shall obtain” and blocks Sinan Yao’s attempt to force an immediate duel. 7
Black Abyss Infiltration
Concerned for Xiang Tian’s safety, Qiu Changfeng covertly follows his mission team into the Great Wild Desolate Range. He witnesses Xiang Tian defeat Gu You and later helps identify the Black Abyss device inside Su Tong. 9 10
The discovery leads Qiu Changfeng to suspect that additional Black Abyss agents may have infiltrated the academy and to plan a comprehensive internal investigation. 10

Qiu Changfeng intervenes when Ning Rong attacks Xiang Tian, transporting both students to his office and attempting to mediate their misunderstanding. 13 He is later unable to stop their confrontation inside Ning Rong’s barrier and becomes alarmed by the potential consequences for the academy. 17 18
After Xiang Tian chooses to leave the academy following the incident, Qiu Changfeng repeatedly tries to dissuade him. 19
Dao Sea Discussion
When Xiang Tian returns, Qiu Changfeng asks him to represent Changning Immortal Academy at the Dao Sea discussion, explaining that the academy needs a strong contender against elite young cultivators from powerful families and secluded lineages. 42

Yellow Springs Incident
Qiu Changfeng arrives after Dragon Tiger Temple monks seize Xiang Tian’s soul. He breaks their array, confronts them for attacking an academy student, and restores Xiang Tian’s soul to his body after the Ghost Messengers force the monks to retreat. 46 47
