Background / History

Patrick rose from a junior pharmaceutical salesman to one of London’s leading pharmaceutical sales specialists. His success came from studying products closely and tailoring their promotion to the right market; he also maintained a personal library of pharmaceutical, biological, and academic materials. 6 9

Murphy recruited Patrick after reading a magazine profile about him. During their first meeting, Patrick initially treated Murphy as an uninformed outsider, but his professional questions about wound treatment demonstrated his medical and pharmaceutical knowledge. 6 7

Umbrella Corporation

Patrick became one of Umbrella Corporation’s founders and handled much of its Muggle-world business. He investigated and recommended Isis Pharmaceuticals for acquisition, identified the formula-disclosure obstacle in drug approval, and helped secure land and a confidential vertical-farming approach for Cloud White Medicine’s medicinal-herb supply. 9 12

After Umbrella acquired Isis Pharmaceuticals, Patrick directed an extensive advertising campaign for Cloud White Medicine across major British media outlets. He also immediately recognized the scale of the company’s raw-material shortage once industrial production exhausted Murphy’s stockpile. 10

Patrick initially opposed Murphy’s decision to enter the electronics industry, judging the move from biotechnology into chip manufacturing excessively risky. Once Murphy confirmed the decision, Patrick accepted it and worked toward a practical plan. 101 He later presented Umbrella’s Blue Queen product launch, publicly recounting Murphy’s insistence that the company pursue technological progress and “change this world.” 140

By this period, Patrick had become wealthy and decorated as the co-founder of a major enterprise. He regarded his partnership with Murphy as a defining opportunity and considered the possibility of having missed Umbrella, Cloud White Medicine, and Blue Queen a profound regret. 100 142

Werewolf Transformation

Patrick’s health deteriorated significantly, leading Murphy to seek Petrifying Lizard venom to slow his degeneration. 145 Patrick was later confirmed to have been bitten by a werewolf alongside Ares. A Magic Power Potion prevented death from a failed transformation but could not reverse their condition, leaving both as werewolves. 291

An enhanced Wolfsbane Potion developed by the Magic Research Institute suppresses Patrick’s full-moon frenzy for approximately one year per injection, allowing him to live much like an ordinary person. 291

Patrick disappeared under unexplained circumstances before returning to Umbrella. On his return, he concluded that Umbrella’s commercial accomplishments were only a preliminary step toward Murphy’s larger plan to change the world through magic, and chose to devote himself to that mission. 161

Political Career

As a newly elected Member of Parliament, Patrick was positioned to enter the Conservative Party leadership contest after the sitting prime minister’s resignation as party leader. Umbrella’s political preparation had already secured support from at least forty Members of Parliament. 318

Following a general election in which the People’s Livelihood Party captured 80% of parliamentary seats, Patrick became Britain’s prime minister. He immediately began drafting a comprehensive constitutional code, using Murphy’s wizard-backed political network to accelerate the process through Parliament. 359

As prime minister, Patrick continued to receive Murphy’s direct intervention through mental communication. During a defense meeting, he dismissed Defense Secretary Durendo after Murphy criticized the official’s lack of actionable proposals. 381
