Hermione's Time Travel
The first floor of the Castle's main building.
After the Divination Class came Transfiguration. Loren and Hermione returned to the main building from the North Tower and walked side by side toward the Transfiguration classroom on the Second Floor.
"Hermione, don't you think the spice in the Divination Classroom is too strong? I can still smell it on my robes."
"Um..."
"This may also be a psychological technique, to make people lack oxygen and make it difficult for them to concentrate."
"Um..."
"I wonder where Professor Trelawney learned these methods from. They're quite interesting, don't you think?"
"Um..."
Loren turned to look at her. "Why do you keep saying 'uh-huh'?"
"Huh?" Hermione clenched her right fist in front of her chest, clutching a gold chain in her hand, and pursed her lips nervously.
She wasn't sure how to answer. Ever since leaving the North Tower, the girl had been thinking about how to use the Time-Turner without leaving a trace to go back in time to take Muggle Studies and Ancient Rune. These two classes were held at the same time as Divination Class, and they had already ended.
Although Loren already knew about the existence of the Time-Turner, according to Professor McGonagall, the time reversal process must not change what has already happened, and must not be discovered by anyone, especially himself.
She wasn't sure if she should tell Loren.
Hermione imagined what would happen if she saw two Loren or two versions of herself in the Castle one day. Her first thought would be to guess that one of them was a dark wizard in disguise, or that some kind of Dark Arts artifact was at work... In a moment of panic, she might act impulsively—
Hermione shook her head with a tremor. In the cases Professor McGonagall recounted, there was a wizard who was killed by his past self after time travel, and it almost became an unsolved mystery.
Loren noticed the gold chain around her neck, raised an eyebrow, and a look of understanding flashed in his eyes. He didn't immediately point it out. "Want to go to the restroom?"
"Yes." Hermione nodded.
This is a good excuse to walk away alone, and I can take this opportunity to activate the Time-Turner.
Should I wait for you here?
"No need, you go to the classroom first, I'll be there in a bit." Hermione quickly shook her head, turned around and ran away.
"See you later." Loren smiled and waved from behind, then strode towards the Transfiguration classroom on the Second Floor...
Hermione went to the corner of the corridor and hid behind a suit of armor. The location was secluded and remote, and usually no one would come here.
"The hourglass turns over once every hour, and Divination Class takes about an hour..." Hermione recalled Professor McGonagall's words and turned the hourglass over.
A strange power welled up from the hourglass, like soft bubbles, gently enveloping her body, as if a hidden membrane separated her from the world.
The secluded corridor and the armor disappeared, and Hermione felt himself flying rapidly backward. Blurred colors and shapes flashed past, making his eardrums throb—
A moment later, I felt my feet touch solid ground, and everything became clear again.
The sound of young wizards chatting and laughing could be heard from afar in the corridor. They had just finished breakfast and were getting ready for their first lesson.
"Divination Class! I can't wait!"
"Which way does the North Tower go?"
"I don't know, I'll just go with the others."
Hermione tried her best to hide behind her armor, straining her ears to listen to the sounds in the distance, preparing to go out for her Muggle Studies after the young wizards had all left.
Suddenly, a familiar voice rang in her ear. "Is the Time-Turner working?"
Hermione looked up in surprise and saw Loren pull open the armored arm and stare with great interest at the Time-Turner around her neck.
"!!!"
Hermione was startled. "When did you follow me—no, are you Loren from this morning?"
She remembered what had happened that morning; when she left the Great Hall after breakfast, Loren claimed he needed to use the restroom and left abruptly for a while.
So he already found out?!
Loren squeezed into the cramped space, peering closely at the chain and hourglass around her neck, and asked curiously, "When did you get back? What's it like to time travel? Can you take me with you?"
Loren paused as he moved closer, wrinkled his nose, and sniffed. "Why do you smell like spices? It smells... tsk, both fragrant and stinky."
"Stop!" Now that she'd been discovered, Hermione decided to stop dwelling on it. "We'll talk about it when I get back to the right time. You go back to class now!"
"OK!"
Hermione breathed a sigh of relief when she saw him turn and leave.
The professor for the Muggle Studies Charity Kereddy Burbage.
On the day she stayed at school during her second year summer vacation, she heard Professor McGonagall and Dumbledore mention it, but later Professor Trelawney made a Prophecy that thirteen people could not dine together, so Loren took her away.
So this was the first time she had seen Professor Bubage Charity Bubbaje.
The number of people choosing the Muggle Studies is neither too many nor too few. Muggle-born wizards don't need to take this course, and Pure-blood wizards disdain it. Only a small number of wizards who aspire to work in fields involving Muggle or who are Pure-blood and interested in Muggle will choose it.
A kind-looking middle-aged woman walked in carrying books. She wore a simple black magic robe, had golden curly hair, and a friendly smile on her face.
That smile alone made many young wizards feel an instant sense of intimacy.
I've heard that Professor Bubage has been a professor of Muggle Studies at Hogwarts for a long time, which shows how passionate she is about the subject. Hermione once read an article of hers in the Daily Prophet refuting the term "Mudblood," and she strongly opposed racial discrimination between pure-blood wizards and Muggle-born wizards.
"Hello, students. I am Charity Burbage." The middle-aged woman placed her book on the lectern and looked around at everyone. "I know that some of you are here for your future jobs, some for your interests, and some of you Slytherin wizards are here to learn about our enemies. However, I also hope that some of you are here to promote peace between Muggle and wizards and for the future development of the Wizarding World."
Hermione listened quietly, a smile playing on her lips.
For peace between wizards and Muggle, and for the future development of the Wizarding World.
Professor Bubage continued, "Since I am also a wizard, my understanding of Muggle comes from a wizard's perspective, and my knowledge of Muggle society, technology, and knowledge is only superficial. Perhaps some of you who are Muggle-born know more about this information than I do, so I hope we can set aside our roles as professor and student and have an equal exchange. If there is anything incorrect or missing in what I say, please do not hesitate to point it out..."
"Some people may attend a few classes and find the course uninteresting and not very helpful, and they may not want to continue wasting their time on it. They can tell me at any time. Muggle Studies allows students to drop the course."
"Now let's talk about the course content. This semester, we'll get a basic understanding of Muggle life, and later we'll gradually expand to technology, society..."
I've been trying to accumulate some manuscripts lately so I can update my schedule a bit more regularly...
As a result, it simply cannot be written before the deadline.
There should be another update around 2 or 3 o'clock.
LOL, that's even more grotesque.
