Sunday evening, Gryffindor Common Room.

Loren and Hermione came in from outside and saw Harry and Ron surrounded by a group of young wizards. Ron was animatedly telling them something, while Harry and the others wore pained expressions of utter refusal.

The two walked over and saw a brand-new wand lying on the table.

Ron spotted them too and got to his feet to greet them. "Hey! Loren, Hermione, come take a look at my new wand."

Wands with Unicorn Tail Hair cores are generally the least likely to submit to the Dark Arts. They are the most loyal of all wands."

Ron had had enough. Someone had stolen his thunder twice. He glared at the two of them angrily. "Hey! It's my wand."

"Yeah." Harry clutched his head in agony. "You've been talking about it for an hour. Every time someone comes in, you drag them over and tell them all about it, and you won't even let us leave."
