In the corridor of the Hogwarts Express, the ethereal voice of the blonde girl selling newspapers rang out from time to time. Luna turned sideways to let passersby through, then walked a few steps forward to Ginny. Her eyes lit up as she looked at the Pygmy Puff on Ginny's shoulder. "It's so cute!"
Ginny smiled and greeted her friend. "It's from Weasley Joke Shop. Did you know they can even sing on Boxing Day?"
Luna stared thoughtfully at the little creature for a moment, then shook her head and pulled out a magazine instead. "Want a copy of The Quibbler? It's free."
"Of course." Ginny took it casually and immediately noticed the strange-looking glasses on the cover. "Spectrespecs... what are those?"
"A specially made pair of glasses..."
The light, ethereal cry of the newspaper seller drifted through carriage after carriage, occasionally floating out through the cracks in the windows before being drowned out by the clattering wheels. The howling winds of the wilderness scattered it into the air.
In a compartment near the rear of the train, Loren flipped through The Quibbler's summer special with great interest while Harry's lowered voice reached his ears.
"What exactly did Voldemort do at Ilvermorny?"
"How many Horcruxes did he make?"
"Don't you think he went to Ilvermorny to make a Horcrux too?" Harry leaned forward slightly, urgency in his voice. "Think about that strange Snakewood tree. It fits his style..."
"Stop it, Harry..." Hermione pressed a hand over the course selection guide spread open in front of her. "I know what you're trying to say. Headmaster Fontana and the American Magical Congress have both examined that Snakewood tree. There's nothing unusual about it."
"Wait, I don't really understand what you're
