She had described the Whomping Willow's growth conditions in the Greenhouse in exhaustive detail, compared them with the sample descriptions provided in the textbook, analyzed the reasons behind the differences in its various traits, examined the effects of geographical conditions and the Greenhouse environment on the plant, and proposed a hypothesis—the other crops in the Greenhouse were also one of the influencing factors.

The first draft had run to roughly two feet of parchment.

As second author, Loren had analyzed how changes in the Whomping Willow's form affected its medicinal properties and internal Magic Power. Drawing on subjects such as Potions Master and Alchemy, he had speculated about possible applications, with particular emphasis on the economic value of the Whomping Willow and its products... His section had been about a foot long.

Harry and Ron had shared third authorship, taking charge of the illustrations, compilation, and copying after the final draft was complete.

Drawing meant copying from the actual plant and photographs. The entire Whomping Willow plant was divided into roots, stem, and leaves, with another fifteen specific parts including tendrils, knots, fruit, and seeds. Whenever they encountered a complicated pattern, they referred to the textbook and other students' assignments.

There was a great deal of work to put on paper, but fortunately, it did not require much thought. The two of them worked away cheerfully.

The finished assignment was not submitted until a week later.
