Harry escaped Voldemort after the Dark Lord’s resurrection, but the Ministry denied his return and left Harry vulnerable to a Dementor attack. The Order of the Phoenix brought Harry to its hidden headquarters, where Loren realized that Regulus Black’s locket might be hidden in the house.

• Harry survived Voldemort’s attack and escaped the graveyard with the Goblet, while Dumbledore confronted Voldemort and dueled him.
• Dumbledore explained the Crouches’ roles in the Triwizard plot, and Loren revealed that he had saved Cedric, and Hermione confronted Loren for keeping the truth from her.
• Fudge rejected Dumbledore’s warning and dismissed Harry’s account, while Dumbledore told Hogwarts students that Voldemort had returned and urged them to stand together.
• Loren confirmed to Draco that Voldemort had regained his body and gave him a Bronze Knut for communication, while Harry gave Fred and George his tournament prize money.
• Loren broke the Trace on Harry’s ring, then explained Voldemort’s return to Hermione’s family and helped Winky visit Crouch’s grave.
• Umbridge arranged for Dementors to attack Harry, but Harry drove them off with a silver stag Patronus and learned that Mrs. Figg had been watching over him.
• Loren and Hermione joined the Order’s escort to move Harry from Privet Drive, and the group entered the hidden Black family home at Number Twelve, Grimmauld Place.
• Harry reunited with the Weasleys at headquarters, where Loren remembered that Regulus Black had hidden Slytherin’s Locket in the manor and learned that Kreacher still lived there.

Loren and Hermione found Hagrid among the Giants, helped Orr overthrow Grawp, and persuaded Hagrid to consider bringing Grawp home. They returned to report to Dumbledore, while Umbridge’s appointment at Hogwarts and the Order’s strained household remained unresolved.

• Sirius and Molly argued over what Harry should know about Voldemort, while Loren and Hermione examined Slytherin’s locket and later brought it to Dumbledore.
• Dumbledore destroyed the locket’s Horcrux after it conjured figures from his past, and he gave Loren the Gubra'i Immortal Fire before sending him and Hermione to find Hagrid.
• Loren and Hermione reached Ben Nevis, learned that Old Dodd had deceived Alice about becoming a wizard, and set out into the mountains to find Hagrid and the Giants.
• Loren and Hermione discovered McNair and Crouch manipulating the Giants, then treated Orr and helped him prepare to challenge Grawp for leadership.
• Orr defeated Grawp and became the new Gurg, while Loren and Hermione captured McNair and Crouch and learned that Hagrid had gone west with Grawp.
• Loren and Hermione found Hagrid and urged him to return Grawp to the tribe, but Grawp made clear that he wanted to go back to Hogwarts with Hagrid.
• Loren and Hermione returned to report to Dumbledore, who discussed Grawp’s possible future as Hogwarts’ Gamekeeper and sent them to Grimmauld Place as Umbridge sought a teaching post at Hogwarts.

Sirius and the others recovered Regulus’s body from the Cave, while Voldemort advanced his plans and Umbridge began tightening her control at Hogwarts. After Dumbledore encouraged Harry to resume the Duel Club, Loren helped organize it as Dumbledore’s Army and prepared for its first meeting.

• Sirius, Loren, Hermione, Harry, Ron, Ginny, Fred, George, and Kreacher retrieved Regulus’s locket and body from the Cave, and Loren burned the Inferi with Fiendfyre.
• Sirius buried Regulus’s ashes after Dumbledore’s funeral speech, while Voldemort learned of the Order’s victories and resolved to accelerate his plans.
• Draco told Loren that Voldemort had moved into Malfoy Manor and that Lucius had ordered him to follow Sturgis Podmore, whom Draco had seen under the Imperius Curse.
• At Hogwarts, Umbridge introduced a theory-only Defense Against the Dark Arts course, and Harry challenged her before Loren diverted her attention toward dark wizards in Hogsmeade.
• Umbridge investigated Trelawney, who delivered a prophecy after being shown a portrait, while Snape later reported the incident to Voldemort and joined a plan to lure Umbridge to a Christmas gathering.
• Dumbledore explained to Harry that he had kept his distance to protect the Order from Voldemort’s connection to him, then encouraged Harry to resume the Duel Club.

As Voldemort’s return and the escaped Death Eaters threaten the wizarding world, Loren and Hermione join Harry and the others at Sirius and Betty’s wedding. Voldemort lures Harry to the Department of Mysteries, where Dumbledore confronts him and a battle breaks out at the Ministry.

• Harry began teaching the Disarming Charm to the Defense Society, but Voldemort seized control of him until Loren stunned him and Dumbledore helped him recover.
• Hermione confessed her feelings to Loren and kissed him, while Sirius’s fiancée Betty arrived at Grimmauld Place.
• Voldemort’s followers escaped from Azkaban, and Snape secretly worked with Voldemort while warning Dumbledore that the Dark Lord planned to lure Harry to the Ministry.
• Loren and Hermione spent Christmas with the Grangers, then joined the Weasleys and other guests for Sirius Black and Betty Carver’s wedding.
• After Harry dreamed that Voldemort threatened Arthur and Percy, Loren entered the nightmare and revealed Voldemort was waiting at the Department of Mysteries, so Sirius led the group there.
• The group found the Hall of Prophecy, where Voldemort demanded the prophecy orb and threatened Ginny, but Ministry Aurors revealed they had prepared a trap.
