| Incursio wielder | 27 | Receives Maniac Soldier: Demon's Possession — Incursio from Bulat and successfully answers its call after Bulat is mortally wounded. |
| Initial Tyrant awakening | 39 | Repeated life-or-death use of Incursio causes Tyrant's dormant power to stir; Lilith estimates that several more desperate awakenings could revive it. |
| Tyrant-awakened Incursio | 55 56 | Incursio changes into a beastlike armor with Tyrant's head, claws, and tail. Tatsumi gains a major burst of speed and injures Lilith, but collapses from the internal strain afterward. |
| Tyrant corrosion | 57 64 | Tyrant's influence alters Tatsumi's pupils and destabilizes his aura; Lilith judges that Incursio can only be safely summoned another one or two times. |
| Full dragonization | 67 68 | Lilith uses Tatsumi's body to summon Incursio, transforming him into a Western dragon. Tatsumi forcibly merges with Tyrant's newly born consciousness rather than being consumed by it. |
| Adaptive dragon evolution | 92 | After being caught in the Guardian God Machine's massive fireball explosion, Tatsumi evolves resistance to extreme heat; only a few scales are damaged. |
Appearance
Tatsumi's human appearance is usually concealed by Incursio. Once Tyrant's power awakens, the armor becomes visibly bestial; after full dragonization, he becomes a gigantic winged dragon with four limbs and scales. 55 67 91 92
- Tyrant-awakened Incursio has a fanged dragon head in place of its original helmet. 55
- His face remains behind a pitch-black visor, while a tail and claws emerge from the armor. 55
- In dragon form, he has wings powerful enough to create destructive gusts and propel him through the air at high speed. 91 92
- He retains the ability to speak despite his dragon form. 92
Personality
Tatsumi is intensely determined and repeatedly pushes himself beyond his physical limits to protect his allies. Bulat's death becomes a central motivation for his training and his hatred of Lilith, while Mine's capture drives him to keep fighting despite being severely wounded. 29 32 38 55
He values comrades and family bonds. He shields Susanoo during battle, tries to save Mine, and intervenes between Akame and Kurome because he refuses to accept sisters fighting each other. 47 54 97
Even after becoming a dragon, Tatsumi preserves enough humanity to worry about civilians endangered by the Guardian God Machine's attacks. 92
Abilities & Skills
Imperial Arms: Incursio
Maniac Soldier: Demon's Possession — Incursio is an armor-type Imperial Arms created from the Super Dangerous Species Tyrant. It enhances Tatsumi's physical capabilities and eventually evolves in response to his extreme circumstances. 17 27
- Greatly increases strength, speed, stamina, and defense. 27 39
- Can be summoned through its chained longsword key. 29 55
- Comes with the spear-like auxiliary weapon Red-backed Shrike. 38

- Prolonged use places an immense burden on his body, while sufficient damage causes the armor to vanish. 27 55
- Tyrant's awakening corrodes Tatsumi's body and threatens his humanity. 57 64
Tyrant Dragon Form
After Incursio fully awakens Tyrant, Tatsumi becomes a living dragon rather than merely an armored human. He fuses with Tyrant's consciousness, allowing him to retain control instead of degenerating into a beast. 67 68

- Uses claws capable of cutting through the Guardian God Machine's armor. 94
- Can unleash a natural breath attack strong enough to blow away much of the Guardian God Machine's head. 92
- Demonstrates remarkable regeneration and resilience against artillery fire. 90
- Evolves defensive adaptations, including resistance to extreme heat. 92
Combat Ability
Tatsumi is an aggressive close-range fighter who combines Incursio's physical enhancements with spears, punches, claws, and aerial attacks. He continues fighting even when injured, exhausted, or outmatched. 27 46 55 64

- Uses his massive dragon body to carry allies and physically halt combatants. 97
- Can adapt quickly to newly manifested Tyrant claws, immediately using them to wound Lilith. 56

Story Role / Major Arcs
Inheritance of Incursio
Tatsumi first faces Lilith and the Empire's forces aboard a ship on the Grand Canal. After Bulat is fatally wounded protecting him, Tatsumi inherits Incursio and discovers his unusually high compatibility with Tyrant. Lilith spares him because she wants Tyrant to revive. 26 27
After recovering from severe injuries, Tatsumi trains obsessively to become proficient with Incursio. His subsequent encounters with Lilith and her wolves repeatedly force out Tyrant's dormant power. 29 32 38 39
Mine's Rescue and Tyrant's Awakening
When Mine is captured, Tatsumi confronts Lilith to buy his allies time. Pushed past his limits, he awakens a drastically altered form of Incursio and manages to injure Lilith, securing Mine's release. The transformation leaves him in severe internal pain and begins Tyrant's corrosion of his body. 54 55 56 57
Dragonization
During a later attempt to kill Lilith, Tatsumi is trapped beneath Lilith's ice attacks. Lilith uses his body to summon Incursio and turns him into a dragon, leaving Tatsumi and Tyrant's consciousnesses to struggle for control. Tatsumi ultimately fuses with Tyrant's newly born consciousness and follows Lilith's commands. 66 67 68
Battle for the Imperial Capital
In dragon form, Tatsumi is deployed against the Young Emperor's Guardian God Machine. He intercepts attacks aimed at the Revolutionary Army, destroys much of the machine's head with his breath attack, adapts to its extreme firepower, and ultimately tears out its cockpit to disable it. 90 92 94
He later stops Akame and Kurome's fight, enabling Akame to escape and reaffirming his opposition to family conflict. 97
Departure from the Night Empire
After Mine dies of old age and Tatsumi becomes increasingly distant from his descendants, he chooses to leave his world with Lilith. He travels with her through other worlds, assists in stealing knowledge from the Hokage Building, and serves as transport during Lilith's actions in the Land of Rain. 112 113 116 132
