Entering the Department of Mysteries

Moriarty finished reading the letter and passed it to Lilith and the others.

After Lilith, Jericho, and Soldaya read it in turn, looks of astonishment inevitably appeared on their faces.

"Director Stan has been controlled?"

"Isn't that just being a puppet?"

"What exactly is inside the Department of Mysteries?"

They had followed Moriarty for so long; what bizarre things had they not seen, what strange experiences had they not gone through?

Yet now, the most inconspicuous Department of Mysteries in the Ministry of Magic had become the source of such a bizarre scandal.

Yes, a scandal.

Although nothing had happened yet, anyone with half a brain could tell that something huge was about to happen.

"Gamp. It must be Gamp."

Moriarty said this with absolute certainty. Other than Ulick Gamp, the first Minister, who else could remotely control the Department of Mysteries?

But that raised another question.

"What exactly is inside the Department of Mysteries?"

Lilith brought up the point again. She had felt something was off the moment she finished reading the letter.

"Gamp values this place too much. At the height of his power, he never assigned the Department of Mysteries to do anything for him. At his lowest point, the Department of Mysteries never gave itself away either."

"Yet at this very moment, Director Stan has been exposed!"

"This means Gamp is about to activate the Department of Mysteries. What does he want to do?"

Moriarty and Lilith exchanged a glance. They both knew Hermione had received a death prophecy, and they also knew that prophecy hinted at the Veil of Death.

But was Gamp's objective really the Veil of Death?

No one could be sure.

Moriarty made a swift decision.

A smile curled his lips. "We're sneaking out tonight."

Lilith and the others exchanged looks.

It
