Background / History

Eden was the fourth Flame-Chaser of the Previous Civilization, known as its most dazzling starlight. Originally an artist and idol, she later became a major financial supporter of Fire Moth and joined its struggle against the Honkai. Though not a primary combatant, she was equipped with the specially made twin guns Time's Ruin for the final battle against Finality. 81

After civilization's collapse, Eden prepared to offer one final elegy for the world that had raised her. Gwen encountered her in a ruined, high-Honkai world while she was singing this farewell song. Eden cautiously drew Time's Ruin against the unknown visitor before the Herrscher of Finality attacked. 81

Eden accepted death during the battle, yet Gwen forced an opening with the Arrow of Light and rescued her at immense personal cost. Both were transported into Gwen's Main God Space severely wounded. Eden initially urged him to preserve his remaining medicine for himself, but ultimately accepted his treatment and learned her rescuer's name. 83 84

Gwen later revealed that he came from over fifty thousand years in the future and that Alicia survived as a consciousness within his Stigmata. The news deeply moved Eden and gave her reason to cooperate with Gwen and Mobius in escaping Finality. 84 85

While traveling with Gwen and Mobius through Anor Londo, Eden recovered physically, studied local miracles and culture, and assisted Mobius's research. After Gwen's power threatened the lingering flame, Eden chose to become its Fire Keeper, calming the blaze even though the act burned her hands. 94 152 153
