Background / History

Kiana’s remembered life began when she awakened from a shattered nutrient tank. A white-haired girl took her away; Kiana later lived in the Russian countryside before a traumatic fire led to Sirin taking control of her body. When she woke, Siegfried Kaslana was gone, leaving only a letter, and Kiana began searching for him. She believed she had killed him while under Sirin’s control. 37

Before joining Schicksal, Kiana lived in Changkong City and worked as a temporary restaurant server. She was one of the few students to continue showing Raiden Mei kindness amid the rumors surrounding Mei. 16

During the Changkong City Honkai-energy outbreak, Kiana entered a trance as energy gathered around her. The incident exposed the danger posed by the Herrscher consciousness within her and resulted in her hospitalization. 19 37 Afterward, she moved into Gwen’s home so he could monitor and protect her if she lost control again. 39 40

Gwen later explains that Kiana and Sirin’s hostile Herrscher consciousness are both extensions of the original Sirin: Kiana represents her kinder side, while the other consciousness retains much of Sirin’s rage and hatred. 107

Kiana is a white-haired girl with clear azure eyes. She usually wears her hair in twin braids, though she switches to a high ponytail for training and combat. 58

Personality

Kiana is cheerful, impulsive, and direct. She has a strong sense of justice and instinctively rejects cruelty, shown by her willingness to stand by Raiden Mei despite the hostility Mei receives at school. 16 She is protective of Mei, readily agreeing to cooperate with Gwen’s deception plan once she understands that it is meant to keep Mei safe. 17

Her carefree behavior conceals deep fear and guilt over Sirin’s past actions, especially the belief that she killed Siegfried. The possibility of losing control and harming those close to her leaves her emotionally fragile after the Changkong incident. 37 38 Rather than remaining defined by that fear, she gradually learns to face Sirin, accept her past, and use power to protect others. 70 232

Schicksal Training and Confronting Sirin

After recovering, Kiana joins Gwen’s household and trains as a Valkyrie while struggling with memories of Sirin and Siegfried. Gwen helps her find the courage to confront the Herrscher consciousness directly rather than run from it. 40 69 70
