After Zhen Yuanzi and Hong Yun departed, Wu Ming looked at the Twelve Ancestral Witches. "There is still some time before the second sermon."
"During this time, you may make your own arrangements."
"You may choose to return to the Wu Clan's tribes and see how the Wu Clan is doing now."
"You may also travel the Primordial Wilderness, comprehend the Laws of Heaven and Earth, and verify what you have gained."
"Remember: before the second sermon begins, you must return to Pangu Hall to rendezvous."
Zhu Rong was the first to respond, grinning as he stretched his muscles and bones. "All right! Perfect timing to go back and see those little brats!"
Gonggong snorted. "We've been cooped up for so long. It's time to get out and walk around."
Di Jiang and the other Ancestral Witches nodded in turn.
Having received Wu Ming's permission, the twelve figures lingered no longer. In an instant, they tore through space and headed for the Wu Clan settlements beneath Buzhou Mountain.
The vast clusters of tribes were orderly and well-organized, suffused with vigorous vitality.
They were no longer as rough and primitive as before, relying solely on hunting and brute strength.
Countless Wu Clan warriors trained in their respective areas—some tempering their physical bodies, some comprehending Laws, some practicing combat techniques.
The Wu Clan was still the Wu Clan, tempering themselves with Heavenly Sha and the essence of the sun and moon, priding themselves on their mastery of Laws and formidable physical bodies.
Yet the entire clan now possessed an unprecedented sense of cohesion and discipline.
This was the result of Wu Ming's subtle guidance over the past ten thousand years, as well as Zhou Ming's secret planning.
The rudiments of a civilization unlike the Immortal Path, yet likewise pursuing power and order, were quietly taking root.
As the Ancestral Witches beheld all this, satisfaction and comfort filled their hearts.
"It seems Big Brother Wu Ming has put a great deal of thought into this," Zhu Jiuyin murmured.
After a brief inspection, the Ancestral Witches set their minds at ease.
They gave a few instructions to the Great Witches within the tribes, then dispersed to begin their true journey through the Primordial Wilderness.
Though the Immortal Path system taught by Hongjun differed greatly from the Wu Clan's inheritance, the Great Dao principles contained within could nevertheless be understood by analogy.
As they walked through the Primordial World, witnessing the shifting of mountains and rivers, sensing the circulation of Laws, and combining it with what they had gained from listening to the Dao at Purple Cloud Palace, the Ancestral Witches' understanding of the Laws they controlled grew ever deeper.
Wu Ming did not return to the clan with the Twelve Ancestral Witches. He had plans of his own.
He walked slowly across the Primordial Land, sensing the subtle changes in the Primordial World's Laws after ten thousand years of sermons.
At the same time, atop Kunlun Mountain.
The Three Pure Ones also left their Dao Field.
They too chose to travel the Primordial Wilderness, perceive the mysteries of Heaven and Earth, and verify their own Great Dao.
Laozi was tranquil and detached by nature; as he walked, an unfathomable Dao aura naturally accompanied him.
Yuanshi's face was cold and aloof, immortal light circling his body, carrying an innate air of pride.
Tongtian, meanwhile, was more free-spirited. At times he paused to admire the myriad things of the Primordial Wilderness; at others, sword intent burst forth, Severing the void.
"Most of the Ten Thousand Races of the Primordial Wilderness are crude by nature, incompatible with our Great Dao." Yuanshi looked down at a group locked in battle below, his brow slightly furrowed.
"Each has its own Dao," Laozi replied calmly.
"Second Brother, there are billions upon billions of living beings in the Primordial Wilderness. How can they all be as you wish?" Tongtian shook his head. "For many beings, survival alone is no easy matter."
"Hmph. Those clad in fur and horned, born from dampness and hatched from eggs—how could such creatures understand the true Great Dao of purity and tranquility?" Yuanshi's tone was disdainful.
Tongtian did not argue further. He knew his second brother's temperament.
When the three reached Buzhou Mountain, they suddenly stopped in unison.
"It seems there is an opportunity here connected to us," Laozi said slowly.
Yuanshi gave a slight nod. "Formed from Father Pangu's spine, it is indeed extraordinary. To think it could nurture such a treasure."
Tongtian was already unable to wait. Following that faint, intangible guidance, he headed toward a hidden valley.
Laozi and Yuanshi exchanged a glance and followed.
Passing through layer upon layer of innate restrictions and parting the hazy currents of Chaos qi, the three found a clear pond before them.
At the center of the pond, a Twelve-Grade lotus platform bloomed quietly.
Its lotus leaves were lush and jade-green, its lotus root holy and flawless, while the three unopened buds at its peak shimmered in red, white, and green, radiating endless Creation vitality and profound Dao charm.
It was precisely one of the Innate Supreme Treasures formed from the lotus seed after the Chaos Green Lotus shattered—the Twelve-Grade Creation Green Lotus!
The moment the Three Pure Ones saw this treasure, they immediately understood that it was fated to be theirs.
The Creation Green Lotus had originally been a companion treasure born where Pangu's Origin Spirit was nurtured. It shared the same roots and origin as them.
Laozi gazed at the largest red lotus flower at its peak, feeling something stir within him. He cupped his hands in salute.
"Red Flower."
As his words fell, the red lotus flower moved without wind, drifting down gracefully and transforming into an ancient, profound Coiled Dragon Staff that landed in Laozi's hand.
Yuanshi looked toward the pure white lotus root and likewise cupped his hands in salute.
"White Lotus Root."
The snow-white lotus root detached from the lotus platform. With a flash of radiance, it transformed into a Three Treasures Jade Ruyi covered in profound runes and flew before Yuanshi.
Tongtian looked toward the largest azure lotus leaf, a trace of delight in his eyes, and gave a resounding shout.
"Green Lotus Leaf!"
The emerald lotus leaf suddenly rose into the air, transforming into a longsword whose sharpness was fully revealed and whose Dao charm was heaven-born—the Qingping Sword—which landed in Tongtian's hand.
The Creation Green Lotus's original body split into three, becoming three Supreme Grade Innate Spiritual Treasures that thus fell into the hands of the Three Pure Ones.
Within the pond, only the soil beneath the lotus platform remained, still giving off a faint vitality.
Having each obtained a treasure and sensed the Great Dao Law contained within, the Three Pure Ones were thoroughly satisfied.
Laozi put away his flat staff.
Yuanshi held the jade ruyi and lightly brushed his hand across it.
Tongtian caressed the blade of the Qingping Sword, which let out a clear, ringing cry.
"This matter is settled. Let us continue our travels," Laozi said placidly.
Yuanshi and Tongtian nodded. The three did not linger, their figures turning into streams of clear qi as they left the valley and continued their journey through the Primordial Land.
Several thousand more years passed.
The date of Hongjun's Second Sermon drew ever closer.
Across the Primordial Land, streaks of light split the sky, converging from every direction toward the Depths of Chaos Beyond the Thirty-Three Heavens.
Di Jun and Taiyi rode Golden Crow rainbow light, their might awe-inspiring.
Nuwa and Fuxi, brother and sister, traveled side by side amid swirling auspicious clouds.
Zhen Yuanzi and Hong Yun also set out together, their faces bearing anticipation for the Great Dao, along with a faint unease about the future.
Kunpeng's enormous transformed form blotted out the sky and covered the earth. Carrying endless gloom and resentment, he charged alone toward Purple Cloud Palace.
Buzhou Mountain, Pangu Hall.
Twelve powerful auras descended almost at the same time.
Di Jiang, Zhu Jiuyin, Zhu Rong, Gong Gong... the twelve Ancestral Wu had ended their travels and all returned.
After ten thousand years of travel, their auras had become more restrained, yet the Law Power swirling around them was more solid and powerful than before.
Wu Ming had long been waiting there.
"You're all back," Wu Ming said simply.
"Big Brother." Di Jiang stepped forward.
"Mm. It seems you've all gained something." Wu Ming swept his gaze over them. "The time for the Second Sermon is near. Prepare to depart."
"Yes!" the twelve Ancestral Wu answered in unison.
No further words were needed. Thirteen figures shot into the sky, instantly tearing through space as they sped toward Purple Cloud Palace in the Depths of Chaos.
