Background / History
Origin
Before entering the cultivation world, Zhou Ming was an ordinary mortal from an azure planet with no cultivation or special bloodline. Yuan Chu later revealed that he had brought Zhou Ming into the Chaos Sea as a “Variable” for an experiment intended to find a new path toward the Transcendence Realm. 864
Zhou Ming's home planet was a surviving fragment of the original Primordial World outside the Chaos Sea. Its legends of “Pangu” preserved a distorted memory of Pan, the being who originally opened heaven and earth. 864
Birth in Pangu Hall
Zhou Ming awakened within a blood cocoon in Pangu Hall, where he refined fiend qi invading his Primordial Spirit. The system core he possessed—renamed the Dao Origin Divine Pearl—protected his soul and helped him comprehend the Law of Strength. 2 3
After sensing the devastation of the Dragon-Phoenix-Kirin Tribulation, Zhou Ming recalled the Wu Clan's future near-destruction and resolved to alter that fate. 2 He eventually underwent Form Transformation, gaining an Ancestral Wu Body and the cultivation of an early Grand Unity Golden Immortal. 4
Leader of the Wu Clan
Zhou Ming repeatedly guided the Twelve Ancestral Witches through the refinement of fiend qi, strengthening both their consciousness and his own cultivation. 6 To manage affairs beyond Pangu Hall while his true body cultivated, he created the avatar Wu Ming from a portion of his Primordial Spirit and Essence Blood. 12 41
As the Wu Clan's leader, Zhou Ming became a central opponent of Hongjun and the Heavenly Dao. His forces forced back Heavenly Dao Will through the Thirteen Capital Heavenly God Evil Array, establishing the Wu Clan as a dominant power in the Primordial Wilderness. 73
Appearance
Zhou Ming's transformed body resembles his former self by roughly seventy to eighty percent. His appearance is described as ordinary and refined, but his bearing is exceptional and his body contains the terrifying vitality of Pangu's Essence Blood. 4
- Ordinary yet refined facial features. 4
- Carries an extraordinary, composed bearing despite his unremarkable appearance. 4
- Possesses the Ancestral Wu Body, whose physical strength can shake mountains. 4
- His avatar Wu Ming looks nearly identical, though Wu Ming has a gentler and more reserved temperament. 12
Personality
Zhou Ming is patient, calculating, and highly protective of the Wu Clan. His earliest major decision after taking form was to help the Twelve Ancestral Witches avoid their predetermined destruction. 4
He generally keeps his power restrained and prefers long-term preparation over reckless action. He created the Pangu Realm as a refuge for the Wu Clan, planned around future tribulations, and assembled allies before confronting the perfected Heavenly Dao. 374 700
Zhou Ming can be considerate toward friends, as shown by his informal arrangement with Zhen Yuanzi and Hong Yun after becoming a Sage. 106 However, he is also pragmatic and coercive when necessary: he treats dependent allies as resources, imposes restrictions on reluctant subordinates, and refuses requests that threaten his larger plans. 255 349 896
