Zhou Ming guided the Human Clan through the Immortal-Demon Tribulation, uncovered the Heavenly Dao’s hidden consciousness, and arranged Fuxi’s reincarnation. After Fuxi and Shen Nong completed their reigns, Xuanyuan faced Chi You’s challenge and prepared to resume the war with new allies.

Arc 9The Human Race Tribulation

The Ten Little Golden Crows’ rampage drew the Dragon Clan, Immortal Court, and Demon Race toward war, while Zhou Ming guided the Human Race through its great tribulation. As the Demon and Immortal forces began their final clash, the Sages blocked Nuwa from aiding the Demon Race and left its fate to its own Zaohua.

  • Ao Hai returned to the East Sea Dragon Palace, accepted Candle Dragon’s command to pursue Slaying Three Corpses with the Ancestral Dragon Pearl, and prepared to cultivate in seclusion.
  • Di Jun confined the Ten Little Golden Crows in Tanggu Valley, but Zhunti tricked them into escaping and secretly steered their destructive flight toward the Eastern Sea.
  • East King Duke confronted the Golden Crows, and his Evil Corpse killed Great Golden Crow before Di Jun arrived to rescue the survivors and found another son dead.
  • Candle Dragon and East King Duke joined forces against Di Jun, while Taiyi used Human Clan blood and souls to prepare a treasure against the Immortal Protective Light.
  • Zhou Ming alerted Wu to the Demon Race’s slaughter of humans, and Nuwa publicly accused the Three Pure Ones of blocking her from saving the Human Clan.
  • Wu and the human leaders fought Guiche and the Demon Army until Wu advanced to the Primordial Origin Golden Immortal realm, and Zhou Ming ended the tribulation and promised the fallen humans Reincarnation.

Arc 10The Heavenly Dao’s Hidden Threat

The Immortal-Demon Tribulation ended with Di Jun’s sacrifice and the breach to the Demon Realm sealed, while Zhou Ming learned that Hongjun feared the conscious Heavenly Dao and bargained for a way to free cultivators from the Three Corpses Slaying Method. The stretch left Zhou Ming confronting Wangshu’s awakened remnant soul after finding her hidden within the Taiyin Star’s origin.

  • Candle Dragon killed Taiyi with his self-detonation, and East King Duke later killed Fuxi in another blast before Zhou Ming gave Nuwa a preserved strand of Fuxi’s Primordial Spirit.
  • Di Jun destroyed Mount Sumeru with his self-detonation, opening the Demon Realm passage, which Zhou Ming, Nuwa, and the Ancestral Wu contained before Nuwa sealed it.
  • After the Demon and Immortal forces collapsed, Hongjun appointed Haotian and Yaochi to govern the Heavenly Court, and Zhou Ming accepted their appointment.
  • Hongjun told Zhou Ming that the Heavenly Dao had developed consciousness and that the Destiny and Karma Demon Gods had tried to take control of it.

  • Zhou Ming warned the Ancestral Wu that Hongjun remained a threat despite fearing the Heavenly Dao, then traveled to the Taiyin Star and demanded that Chang Xi give up the Moon Laurel Tree and go with him.
  • Zhou Ming discovered Wangshu’s remnant soul hidden in the Taiyin Star’s origin, restrained Chang Xi, and drew Wangshu out, whereupon she awakened and asked who he was.

Arc 11Fuxi’s Rebirth

Zhou Ming revived alliances and arranged Fuxi’s reincarnation into the Human Clan, securing the Sages’ agreement over its future rulers. Fuxi was born into the Fengyan Tribe, where he quickly rose to become its chief.

  • Zhou Ming agreed to revive Wangshu in exchange for her becoming the moon of his world and later supporting the Wu Clan against the Heavenly Dao, then arranged for Pangu Will to inspect her and Chang Xi.
  • Zhou Ming sent the preserved true spirits of Di Jun, Taiyi, East King Duke, and others into reincarnation, then extracted Hongjun’s Three Corpses Slaying Method and examined its risks.
  • After Houtu attained the Dao, Zhou Ming secured an alliance with Haotian and Yaochi, giving the Wu Clan half the Heavenly Court’s Fortune and two of its Six Imperial Jade Master positions.
  • Zhou Ming enlisted Ao Hai and West Queen Mother to cultivate within the Wu Clan, offering them ways to escape the Three Corpses Slaying Method’s drawbacks.

Arc 12Xuanyuan and Chi You

Fuxi and Shen Nong completed their reigns, and Xuanyuan became the next Human Emperor as Chi You challenged his claim. After Xuanyuan’s forces suffered a crushing defeat, Ying Long and the Mysterious Lady of the Nine Heavens arrived to help him prepare for war.

  • Fuxi led the Human Clan’s migration to Chen, became its first Human Emperor, and later passed the throne to Shen Nong, who was proclaimed the Earthly Emperor after teaching the people farming and herbal medicine.
  • Shen Nong chose Xuanyuan as his successor, while Zhou Ming arranged for Chi You to reincarnate among the Jiuli Tribe as a trial for Xuanyuan.
  • Houtu took Jingwei as her disciple after saving her from the Eastern Sea, and Chi You grew into a rival claimant to the Human Emperor’s position.
  • Xuanyuan sought peace with Chi You, but Chi You rejected joint rule, defeated the Twelve Golden Immortals, and declared war.
  • At Zhuolu, Chi You and the Jiuli Army routed Xuanyuan’s forces, while Pingxin’s power blocked the Chan Sect immortals’ treasures and Yuanshi Tianzun agreed not to intervene further.
  • After Xuanyuan retreated, Ying Long and the Mysterious Lady of the Nine Heavens arrived in Chendu to aid him with military support and training.
  • The Mysterious Lady proposed using Kui Niu hide to make war drums, and Guang Chengzi left for Flowing Wave Mountain to retrieve it.
