Background / History
Qiongqi was once an ancient demon god whose authority extended across countless demon kingdoms. Demons descended from those realms inherited ancestral rules requiring them to revere his emblem as they would Qiongqi himself. He also had many descendants, a responsibility that tempered his response to the Beast-Tamer Lineage after it enslaved demons and abused his bloodline. An Ancient God King ultimately mediated that conflict, securing the release of Qiongqi’s descendants and compensation. 1431 1601
The ancient God War left Qiongqi catastrophically weakened. The Martial God Hall became his enemy, held his physical body in the Primordial Nether Prison, and continued to pursue matters connected to him and Xiao Chen. His surviving consciousness endured as a damaged remnant soul requiring soul-nourishing treasures to remain stable. 383 1080 1316 1559
The system designated Qiongqi as Xiao Chen’s reward for completing the “Maiden’s Tenderness” mission and acquiring the Water-Fire Lotus. Though initially unwilling to become a human’s guardian, he gradually came to regard Xiao Chen as both his successor and disciple. 102 192 1559
Qiongqi first publicly identified himself as Qiong Shitian in the Divine Fruit Mystic Realm. His projection of Qiongqi’s true form convinced the realm’s overlord and its Realm Spirit that the supposedly dead ancestral demon had returned. 382 383
Appearance
Qiongqi usually appears as a tall, green-haired old man in green divine armor. He deliberately suppresses his aura when domain laws or powerful observers might detect him, making his human guise seem far less imposing than his true nature. 612 1423
- Human guise: Green armor marked with divine giant-demon totems; long green hair; wrinkled face; blood-lit eyes. 612
- Possession manifestation: Xiao Chen’s possessed body develops green armor, golden eyes, blood-red brows, and an overwhelming demonic aura. 1700
- True form: A colossal tiger-like ferocious beast with black-scaled wings, capable of descending as a terrifying phantom from the clouds. 102 382
- Disguise: While injured, he once concealed himself as a yellow dog, leading to the nickname “Lord Yellow.” 1703
Personality
Qiongqi is arrogant, sharp-tongued, and intensely conscious of his ancient status. He casually calls Emperor-level beings “little ones,” mocks cultivators who overestimate themselves, and often uses intimidation even when his injuries prevent a real fight. His standoff with Huang Qing demonstrates both his theatrical confidence and his willingness to bluff to keep Xiao Chen safe. 729
Behind the bluster, he is a demanding mentor. He deliberately withholds help, tests Xiao Chen’s convictions, and criticizes him for becoming dependent on protection. Qiongqi believes that a true powerhouse must survive hardship rather than rely on a guardian for every danger. 1392 1393
His protectiveness is genuine. He becomes enraged by the theft of Xiao Chen’s Divine Seed and tribulation, opposes the Fire Demon Holy Army’s Blood Sacrifice on karmic grounds, and repeatedly risks his remnant soul to protect Xiao Chen. 1393 1425 1559
Abilities & Skills
Ancient Demonic Might
Qiongqi’s demonic pressure can overwhelm opponents far above Xiao Chen’s cultivation level and provoke instinctive fear in demon bloodlines.
- A wisp of his consciousness enters Thunderclap’s Sea of Consciousness, reveals Qiongqi’s true form, and forces the Thunder God Rat into submission. 363
- He can suppress divine pressure, force Half-Emperors to kneel, and frighten Emperor-level experts into retreat. 1099 1423 1424
- His true-form phantom can clash with realm-level defenses and devastate the surrounding terrain. 382
- Limit: His remnant soul cannot sustain peak output for long; exhausting his power worsens his injuries and can force him to retreat. 1426 1431
Annihilation Fiend Path
Qiongqi wields a reddish-yellow withered leaf containing Annihilation Power: the Dao cycle of growth, prosperity, withering, and decay.
- The leaf corrodes the Heavenly Dao Thunder Tiger, consuming its lightning and reducing it to ashes. 1426
- Its sorrowful, decaying aura causes onlookers to recall aging, lost youth, and death. 1426
- The technique is associated with Silent Abyss, Qiongqi’s grandson and a descendant of the Nine Fiends. 1426
Four Symbols Divine Art
Through Xiao Chen’s body, Qiongqi summons and commands phantoms of the Azure Dragon, White Tiger, Vermilion Bird, and Black Tortoise.
- His Nine Fiends bloodline suppresses the Four Symbols Divine Beasts and compels them to obey. 1707
- Four Symbols Divine Radiance seals heaven and earth around the target, suppressing Demon Essence and bloodline power. 1707
- The technique defeats Xie Qingshan, a Peak Demon Emperor and former Emperor-level expert. 1706 1707
- Limit: The power places extreme strain on Xiao Chen’s body, which begins to crack under the borrowed force. 1706
Soul Possession
When direct manifestation is too costly, Qiongqi can take control of Xiao Chen’s body and use it as a vessel.
- Xiao Chen willingly permits the possession and remains conscious only as a detached, passive observer in his Sea of Consciousness. 1700
- Possession lets Qiongqi destroy Chi Lei’s crimson thunder blade and immobilize him through overwhelming pressure. 1700
- He can conceal his true identity with the Void Illusion Concealment Technique while using Xiao Chen’s body. 1700
- Limit: The host body must be strong enough to withstand Qiongqi’s soul power; even Xiao Chen approaches physical collapse when Qiongqi raises his output. 1699 1706
Demonic Crest and Authority
Qiongqi’s emblem carries genuine demonic power and serves as proof of Xiao Chen’s status as his inheritor.
- Demon kingdoms formerly under Qiongqi’s command treat the crest as if Qiongqi himself has arrived. 1601
- The crest awakens ancestral terror in demon bloodlines, causing powerful demons to abandon hostility toward Xiao Chen. 1603 1604
- Thunderclap acts under Qiongqi’s decree and invokes his backing when confronting the Huang Family. 762
Strategic Knowledge and Mentorship
Qiongqi possesses knowledge of ancient physiques, cultivation arts, bloodlines, the Spirit Realm, and the God Realm.
- He advises Xiao Chen on dual cores, body cultivation, Dao Fire, the Yin-Yang Reversal Art, and the development of the Martial God Physique. 303 457 1076 1558
- He values intelligence gathering before battle and instructs Xiao Chen to extract information from Chi San rather than immediately destroy him. 983
- He uses divination to assess Xiao Chen’s chances of surviving severe calamities. 735
- He warns that the Mortal World lacks the resources needed to develop the Martial God Physique and urges Xiao Chen to enter the Spirit Realm. 1443 1564
Relationships
- Xiao Chen — Protector, mentor, and eventually self-proclaimed master. Qiongqi calls Xiao Chen his successor, publicly defends him, and later possesses his body only with Xiao Chen’s consent. 102 1393 1700

- Beast-Tamer Lineage — Ancient enemy whose demon-enslaving practices endangered Qiongqi’s descendants. 1431
