Background / History

Xiao Chen was born the eldest son of Xiao Zhentian, the Zhenbei King. Half of his 108 Martial Apertures were open at birth, and he possessed the Explosive King Physique, making him the manor's celebrated prodigy. When Xiao Lingtian was endangered, Xiao Chen took a palm strike for his younger brother; the blow shattered his dantian and left him unable to cultivate. 1 2

As his recovery seemed impossible, Xiao Zhentian and Wen Wanrong transferred their attention to Xiao Lingtian. At fifteen, Xiao Chen was sent to Bear Martial City under the pretext of recuperation and was left there for three years without a visit from his parents. The glory once attached to his King Physique passed to Xiao Lingtian. 1

A modern man transmigrated into Xiao Chen's body and inherited these memories. When Xiao Zhentian demanded that he kneel for arriving late, Xiao Chen chose exile over submission, severing ties with Zhenbei King Manor.
