Xiao Lingtian grew up as the younger son of Xiao Zhentian and Wen Wanrong. Though he possessed top-grade Heaven Rank talent, he lived under the shadow of his elder brother Xiao Chen's Born King Physique. Xiao Chen was devoted to him, sharing opportunities and protecting him, but Lingtian's admiration gradually turned into resentment and jealousy 1 781.

Unable to accept Xiao Chen's superior talent, family standing, and betrothal to Ye Qingxuan, Lingtian arranged the attack that shattered Xiao Chen's dantian. He openly sought Ye Qingxuan after she attempted to end her engagement with Xiao Chen, treating her as his future wife. He is arrogant in public, repeatedly declaring himself superior to Xiao Chen, yet his confidence collapses when confronted with Xiao Chen's overwhelming strength. He delayed entering the Great Xia–Blue Moon Clan contest until weaker opponents remained, and he visibly panicked after witnessing Xiao Chen effortlessly defeat several elite prodigies 794 808.

His desperation after losing his dantian reveals a fearful, unstable side.
