Background / History

Tai Xu Sect is the foremost sect of Great Xia and has existed for ten thousand years. At its height, it produced the Starlight Martial Emperor, Zhao Xinghe, who reigned over the Xuanhuang world before ascending. 248

The sect was founded by Wang Taixu. His mount, the Sacred Water Kirin, remained behind as Tai Xu Sect’s guardian sacred beast after Wang Taixu ascended to the God Realm. The beast rarely appears, but was said to have intervened during previous existential crises. 268

Tai Xu Sect’s prestige rests on an immense cultivation foundation, vast resources, and stringent recruitment. It recruits infrequently; one prior selection reportedly accepted only ten candidates from hundreds of thousands of geniuses. 241

During the Demon Clan’s Mountain Kicking Tournament, the sect suffered severe losses, including the deaths of its mountain guards and a major battle against Demon Clan prodigies. 397 414 Xiao Chen’s defense of the sect elevated his standing and triggered a dispute over access to the Dao Heaven Sacred Pool. 419 421

The conflict with Huang Yelang and the Huang Family later exposed deep divisions within the sect. While Zhao Changhe, Wu Qinglong, and the Sword King Hall supported Xiao Chen, many elders favored reconciliation with the Huang Family out of fear of the Dragon-Riding Ancestor. 731 738 757

Recruitment

The recruitment attended by Xiao Chen was an internal selection limited to holders of Tai Xu Tokens, which represented prior connections to the sect. Token holders could be admitted as either outer disciples or attendants depending on cultivation, talent, background, and the sect’s evaluation. 241 263

Tai Xu Mountain

The sect’s mountain gate bears the words “Tai Xu Sect,” each character carrying a faint aura of the Great Dao strong enough to hurt an ordinary observer’s eyes. Beyond it lies an enormous expanse of palaces and cultivation grounds. 268

The sect is saturated with spiritual energy and contains rare spiritual plants, ancient flowers, strange beasts, and spiritual birds that are scarce or extinct outside its boundaries. 275

Internal Conflicts

Tai Xu Sect’s hierarchy often leaves attendants vulnerable. Lin Hu manipulated Xiao Chen’s placement to send him to the dangerous North Zone, while Liu Si, a core disciple of Black Kill Hall, extorted merit points from lower-ranking disciples outside the Ancient Texts Hall. 276 316

The sect’s treatment of attendants was further questioned after reports that followers under Lin Yu were abused, killed, or driven insane without meaningful accountability. 295

Factional conflict became overt during the dispute over the Dao Heaven Sacred Pool. Several hall masters opposed granting Xiao Chen access despite his role in defending the sect, favoring Huang Yelang and fearing retaliation from the Huang Family. 421
