Background

Orochimaru was formerly a Konohagakure shinobi, a disciple of the Third Hokage, and one of the Legendary Sannin alongside Jiraiya and Tsunade. He had once sought the Hokage position, but Hiruzen Sarutobi denied him the role; this rejection fed his resentment toward Konoha and its people. He later performed human experimentation on Konoha residents and became a rogue ninja. 139 264
