When Zhuo Shi sought revenge for Wu Zhangkong, Yun Ming refused to deploy Shrek Academy officially because Wu Zhangkong was no longer affiliated with it; nevertheless, he guaranteed protection for Zhuo Shi if he returned safely after acting on his own. 93

His confidence in his own strength often becomes arrogance. He dismisses exceptional youths as commonplace, assumes he cannot be defeated by the mysterious expert opposing him, and uses his power to pressure Sun Moon Royal Academy into granting him access. 107 110 122 Even so, he can reassess a situation: after Di Tian damaged his armor, he warned Zhuo Shi and Feng Wuyu not to provoke an enemy beyond their ability to handle. 115

Wu Zhangkong’s Death and the Sun Moon Academy Standoff

After Wu Zhangkong’s death, Yun Ming refuses to involve Shrek Academy officially in Zhuo Shi’s revenge, citing Wu Zhangkong’s expulsion. He nevertheless protects Zhuo Shi’s right to pursue vengeance and dispatches Feng Wuyu to keep him from acting impulsively. 93

When Zhuo Shi and Feng Wuyu are defeated by an unknown protector, Yun Ming personally visits Sun Moon Royal Academy to identify the expert behind Chen An and Gu Yue Na. He pressures Xu Lin into arranging a one-move confrontation, ultimately facing Di Tian in the wasteland outside Mingdu. 107 108 111

Conflict with Chen An

Yun Ming does not recognize Chen An at their first meeting, despite having caused the shockwave responsible for Chen An’s earlier death. Chen An conceals his hatred through the Three-Eyed Golden Lion’s Fate Power. 110

At the Federation Grand Competition, Yun Ming publicly identifies Chen An’s Death Attribute as grounds to suspect him of being an Evil Soul Master. Despite Xu Lin’s and Zhen Hua’s guarantees, Yun Ming threatens to take Chen An by force. 172 175

Shrek–Tang War

Following Cang Xin’s death, Yun Ming enters the battlefield in Four-Word Battle Armor and attacks Di Tian to avenge him. 422 He later withdraws Shrek and Tang Sect forces rather than pursue a hopeless fight, deciding that his continued survival is more valuable to the institutions under his care. 447 448

When the Federation moves against Shrek Academy and the Tang Sect, Yun Ming issues a stern warning that both forces will retaliate against any attack. 481 The destruction of Tang Sect launch bases later leaves him nearly overwhelmed with rage and grief. 566

Final Battle and Death

During the war for Shrek City, Yun Ming confronts Chen An directly. Although his initial spear strike proves overwhelming, Chen An gradually wears him down through regeneration, Death Qi, replicated Ice Yun Mings, and successive transformations. 705 714 715

After being frozen by Chen An’s Xuanwu form, Yun Ming breaks free and temporarily reaches god-level power. He incapacitates Qiangu Dongfeng and nearly overturns the battle, but Chen An ultimately exceeds him after gaining god-level power of his own. 724 725 728

Chen An kills Yun Ming, then captures his soul rather than allowing it to dissipate. Yun Ming is forced to watch Chen An turn his attention toward the destruction of Shrek Academy and the Tang Sect. 729
