Background

Shrek Academy was regarded as the continent’s foremost academy and the world’s greatest institution for Soul Master education. Although commonly ranked above Sun Moon Royal Academy, it was formally excluded from Federation academy rankings because it held an independent, sect-like status rather than being a Federation academy. 19 92

For much of its history, Shrek dominated the All-Continent Soul Master Academy Tournament—later renamed the Federation Grand Competition. It eventually withdrew from the main event because it had repeatedly won the championship, but continued to participate in exhibition matches to demonstrate its students’ strength and retain its prestige. 31 32

The academy’s legacy, linked to the first-generation Shrek Seven Devils, had endured for twenty thousand years. Its reputation made it a sacred destination for young Soul Masters, while its graduates spread throughout the Federation as military officers, governors, police chiefs, and influential clan founders. 465 466 483

Sea God Pavilion and Inner Court

Sea God Island housed Shrek’s inner court, where its elite students gathered. Inner-court students were regarded as future pillars of the academy, each possessing the potential to become a Titled Douluo. 92

Sea God Pavilion served as the academy’s core leadership body. Every elder was a Titled Douluo; its ranks included Super Douluos and Four-Word Battle Armor Masters. 92

Admissions

Shrek traditionally recruited only once every three years, admitting roughly thirty to forty students per cycle. Of approximately ten recruits considered capable of reaching the Titled Douluo realm, about seven ultimately did so. 482

Following Federation sanctions against the Tang Sect, Shrek changed its policy to annual, expanded admissions and opened an early spring admissions channel. The move violated Federation education regulations but went unchallenged due to Shrek’s influence. 267

The expansion was intended both to compete with Sun Moon Royal Academy for talented students and to create a larger pool of potential Tang Sect recruits. 267

The academy’s interpretation of this principle emphasized strength and judgment: students were expected to assess the situation rather than recklessly seek conflict they could not win. 92

Influence and Reputation

Shrek’s reputation rested on its educational record, its ancient legacy, and its extensive network of former students. The academy claimed to have disciples throughout the world, a claim supported by graduates occupying influential positions across the Federation. 466 483

At its height, Shrek could potentially call upon two to three hundred living Titled Douluo graduates. During the defense of Shrek City, its appeal for support brought nearly 100,000 Soul Masters to the city. 482 739

Its influence also extended into Federation politics:

• Shrek held fifteen fixed legislative seats, including three core legislator seats. 466
• Its graduates and supporters held posts in the military, police, government, and major families. 462 515
• The academy’s status allowed it to resist Federation pressure that other academies could not ignore, including the Ministry of Education’s objection to its early admissions. 267

Public confidence in Shrek began to erode after Zhuo Shi and Feng Wuyu’s actions caused civilian casualties in Eastsea City. The academy recognized that repeated harm to civilians could undermine the public image necessary to attract talented students. 102 107

Rivalry with Sun Moon Royal Academy

Shrek Academy and Sun Moon Royal Academy maintained a bitter rivalry stretching back ten thousand years. Sun Moon Royal Academy regarded Shrek as a possible cause of the historic disaster that nearly destroyed its institution, while both schools sought chances to embarrass the other in politics, military affairs, and student exchanges. 157

Shrek treated exhibition matches against Sun Moon as public demonstrations of superiority. Prior to the Federation Grand Competition, Shrek had never lost an exhibition match to Sun Moon Royal Academy. 32 153

Conflict with the Federation

Suspension and Political Pressure

After the Eastsea City incident involving Zhuo Shi and Feng Wuyu, the Federation publicly warned Shrek Academy against similar conduct. Shrek gave greater weight to public opinion than to the government warning itself, fearing reputational damage would threaten its student recruitment. 107

Safety concerns and political pressure later led to the Federation Grand Competition being relocated from Shrek City to Mingdu. Shrek City lost the event’s venue privileges and associated economic benefits. 187 191

Abyss Battlefield Crisis

The Federation accused Shrek Academy and the Tang Sect of drawing Abyss Creatures to the Abyss Battlefield, causing severe losses for the Blood God Legion. Its public presentation also alleged a history of illegal intrusions into military bases to train students and disciples. 500

Yun Ming acknowledged that Shrek and Tang Sect leadership had wrongly summoned Abyss Creatures to deal with Chen An, but denied any intent to collude with the creatures or harm humanity. He called upon Shrek personnel and Tang Sect members to defend their shared legacy against what he described as a corrupt Federation. 501 506

Disbandment Order

The Federation ordered Shrek Academy and the Tang Sect to disband, confiscate their assets, and transfer Shrek City to Federation control. Sea God Pavilion was to be dissolved, while teachers and students who remained were required to pledge never to rebuild the academy. 479 505

After Shrek and Tang Sect refused to comply, the Federation classified both as anti-human and anti-@@REF_ENTITY_12139865@@ terrorist organizations. It ordered the nationalization of their property and threatened imprisonment or execution for personnel who violently resisted arrest. 521

Defense of Shrek City

Shrek Academy and the Tang Sect concentrated their forces in Shrek City, fortified its defenses, stockpiled high-destruction Soul Guidance weapons, and considered abandoning outlying branches to focus on survival. 483

During the battle, Shrek forces:

• Fired twenty Grade 9 Fixed Soul Guidance Cannon Shells at the advancing Federal Army; five penetrated interception and caused damage. 693

Destruction

The Federation’s assault overwhelmed Shrek City through superior top-tier combatants, ferocious beast reinforcements, elite mecha troops, and sustained bombardment. Shrek’s Titled Douluos suffered heavy losses, with more than eighty reported killed during the battle. 710 733

The academy’s defensive shield was shattered by the Icefire Dragon Kings’ Fusion Skill. The resulting attack destroyed Shrek Academy’s central plaza and the statues of historic figures, including the first-generation Shrek Seven Devils. 741

After the Federation captured Sea God Island, Chen An entered the Golden Tree using Yun Ming’s Pavilion Lord Token and opened the academy treasury. 752

The Federation subsequently announced that Yun Ming had been executed and that more than two hundred Titled experts from Shrek Academy, the Tang Sect, and their allied factions had been slain. The academy’s upper ranks were declared completely wiped out. 755
