Background / History

Gu Yue Na initially struggled with an emerging attachment to Tang Wulin, fearing that it would compromise her intended revenge against humanity. She considered dividing part of her consciousness and placing it within her bonded Silver Dragon Spear, despite knowing that doing so would divide her power, slow her cultivation, and risk uncontrollable consequences. The resurrection of Chen An interrupted the attempt before it was completed. 5 6

After Chen An warned her against splitting her consciousness, Gu Yue Na reconsidered the plan. Believing Chen An to be a transformed Soul Beast, she invited him to join the remaining Soul Beasts in seeking revenge against humanity. She later accepted a wager with the Plane Master: she would use human methods to destroy humanity or be forced to leave the Douluo World permanently. To act within human society, she adopted human form and sealed her god-level cultivation. 7 9

Following Chen An’s strategy, Gu Yue Na entered Sun Moon Royal Academy and prepared to develop influence within the Spirit Pagoda. She chose Sky Phoenix Douluo Leng Yaozhu as her master primarily for the political access and protection that the deputy pagoda master’s position could provide. 13 68

Although she had not initially completed her conscious division, Na Er emerged as an independent personality tied to Tang Wulin. Gu Yue Na endured Na Er’s interference until Chen An used the Soul-Seizing Bell to enter her consciousness and persuade Na Er to merge. Gu Yue Na absorbed Na Er’s soul energy but erased her consciousness and emotional attachment to Tang Wulin, restoring herself as the “complete” Silver Dragon Queen. 21 61 62 64

Gu Yue Na is decisive, proud, and intensely focused on the survival of the Soul Beast race. She initially resolved to divide her consciousness immediately once she believed it necessary for her revenge plan, and she refuses to concede in battle even against opponents vastly stronger than her. 5 38
