Origin and Formation

Pangu created the Primordial Wilderness by swinging the Sky-Opening Axe forty-nine times. The newborn world rapidly expanded by absorbing Chaos Qi, but its earth, fire, wind, and water remained violently unstable and threatened to collapse. 56

To complete and stabilize the world, Pangu sacrificed himself. His body transformed into its major features, including the Sun, Moon, rivers, clouds, and Mount Buzhou; his spiritual treasures also shattered into new treasures that helped support the realm. 56

Lin Tian named Pangu's new world the Great Desolation. Zi Yu later assessed it as a Half-step Eternal World, believing it could have become a complete Eternal World without the Great Dao's interference. 56 59

Heavenly Dao

The Heavenly Dao appeared after the world's creation. Its self-awareness originated when a strand of Pangu's merit and a drop of Pangu's essence blood merged into its nascent origin during the opening of heaven and earth. 56 522

Early Era

The Primordial Wilderness was initially rich in Innate Qi but devoid of living beings. Hongjun became its first Innate Demon God after proclaiming his birth to heaven and earth, gaining Great Dao Merit and destiny; Rahula took form shortly afterward. 61

As life developed, the Dragon, Phoenix, and Kirin Clans rose above the myriad races. Their expanding influence divided the major regions of the Great Desolation among the Four Seas, the south, and the area around Buzhou Mountain. 82

Beast Calamity

The Fierce Beasts emerged from the resentment, hatred, and obsessions of Chaos Demon Gods killed during the World-Opening Tribulation. Their lingering wills combined with remnants of their bodies, producing creatures driven to destroy the Primordial Wilderness and restore Chaos. 77

Shen Ni united the Fierce Beasts in the far north, defeated Taotie, Qiongqi, Taowu, and Chaos, and proclaimed himself Beast Emperor. His stated objective was the destruction of the Primordial Wilderness and a return to Chaos. 79

The establishment of the Fierce Beast tribe and the resulting campaigns across the realm destabilized the world, prompting the Heavenly Dao to offer merit for killing Fierce Beasts. 83 84

Struggles for Supremacy

Conflict among the Dragon, Phoenix, and Kirin Clans spread across the Primordial Wilderness, causing widespread death and devastation. Rahula secretly intensified the conflict to gather malevolent energy at Sumeru Mountain. 133

Lin Tian interrupted the leaders' contest for dominance and advised them to establish separate territories and govern their own races. Yuan Feng, Prime Kirin, and Ancestral Dragon subsequently founded their clans and received Heavenly Dao Merit. 135

Dao-Demon Conflict

During Rahula's invasion, demonic energy and mass killing spread throughout the Primordial Wilderness. Lin Tian intervened to protect the western spiritual veins, intending to prevent the West from becoming a spiritually barren land. 164
