Background / History
Pangu’s birth was preceded by upheaval across Chaos: golden lotuses bloomed, Chaos churned, and a vast chant resounded. He emerged as the last Chaos Demon God from a thirty-six-petal Chaos Green Lotus, declaring himself the First Chaos Demon God and the Demon God of Strength. His cultivation immediately rose to the peak of the Heavenly Dao Realm. 21 22
He was born alongside three Chaos Supreme Treasures—the Chaos Green Lotus, Sky-Opening Axe, and Jade Plate of Creation. The other Demon Gods attempted to seize them, but Pangu routed their combined assault; the Chaos Green Lotus withstood their attacks, while one axe strike injured more than a hundred Demon Gods. Though victorious, he allowed the defeated attackers to leave. 22 23 24
After discussing the Dao with Lin Tian and Yang Mei, Pangu traveled Chaos alone. He repeatedly challenged Demon Gods to spar, defeating several top-ranked figures and becoming feared as the “Battle Maniac.” The Jade Plate of Creation greatly accelerated his progress during this period. 24 32
Pangu eventually understood that his destined Dao was Sky-Opening: creating a new world despite the Great Dao’s design that this act would lead to his death. He chose to proceed, seeking both the Great Dao and an eternal world free from Chaos’s endless conflict. 39 40 42
During the Sky-Opening conflict, Pangu faced three thousand Chaos Demon Gods and the Great Dao itself. He fought alongside Lin Tian and their allies, temporarily ascending to the Great Dao Realm by burning his essence and blood. 42 43 47 49
Pangu ultimately opened the heavens with forty-nine swings of the Sky-Opening Axe, then used his body to complete and stabilize the Great Desolation. His eyes became the sun and moon, his blood became rivers and seas, his spine became Mount Buzhou, and his hair became vegetation. 55 56
Although believed dead, Pangu preserved a wisp of Primordial Spirit within his heart as part of a long-term revival plan. Lin Tian later restored him in Pangu Hall with the aid of Pangu’s Heart, the Blood Pool, and origin power from the Heavenly, Earthly, and Human Ways. 65 66 524
Appearance
Pangu is a tall, sturdy man with long hair. He initially emerged naked before creating a beast-skin garment with mana; after his revival, he formed a Daoist robe. 22 221 524

Personality
Pangu is bold, direct, and intensely battle-loving. He seeks powerful opponents without concern for reputation or restraint, treating brutal fights as sparring even when his opponents are left humiliated or severely injured. 32 33
He is also uncompromising in his pursuit of the Great Dao. Even after learning that Sky-Opening would result in his death, he refused to retreat, believing cultivators must move forward rather than yield to fate. 42
Beneath his aggression, Pangu is merciful and loyal. He spared the Demon Gods who attacked him at his birth, trusted Lin Tian as a confidant, and planned for the protection and future of his descendants. 24 55 66 175
