Background / History

Following her resurrection, Ye Li returns in a female body and with a noticeably more impulsive personality. She retains Ye Li’s memories and abilities, and initially insists that these are sufficient proof that she is the real Ye Li. Her altered appearance leads others—including Durandal and Fu Hua—to question her identity, which she takes as a deeply personal rejection. 126 133 137

Before confronting Fu Hua, Ye Li clashes with Schicksal forces and uses Feather of Dust to incapacitate the Valkyries pursuing her. She later arrives at World Serpent headquarters intending to help Kevin remove Jackal’s faction after learning that Kevin did not order the attack against her. Her duel with Kevin ends in a draw; Kevin acknowledges her as Ye Li and returns a Feather of Dust manifestation entrusted to him. 125 128 129

In Shenzhou, Ye Li searches the You Xiong clan ruins and protects a village by checking the surrounding area for threats. Her efforts are overshadowed by Fu Hua’s continued doubt, escalating into an argument and battle. Her confrontation with Kiana, Bronya, and Fu Hua exposes the contradiction at the center of her self-image: she claims to be Ye Li while rejecting the choices and sacrifices that defined him.
