Business Certificate
Roy returned to the Black Pearl with a full hundred bundles of Magic Herbs, each bundle about the size of an oak barrel, packed tightly with the Magic Herbs, which almost filled the ship's Bottom Cabin.
The Magic Herbs, worth a thousand Magic Crystal Stone, were piled up in the Bottom Cabin, which looked quite impressive.
Miss Tiffany, wearing only a light swimsuit and draped in a towel, walked barefoot down the corridor, her clothes soaking wet.
Seawater dripped continuously from her seaweed-colored curly hair, and she was holding a string of colorful sea fish in her hand.
Seeing Roy standing at the Bottom Cabin door, Miss Tiffany wiped the seawater off her face with a towel, leaned against the door frame, and waved the fish in her hand at Roy, saying, "I'm going to start a fire on deck first. Remember to come up to the deck to grill the fish later."
"Got it. Remember to prepare some more oysters and mussels." Roy waved his hand to indicate that he understood.
"Didn't you go to the magic Potion Shop in town? Did you manage to sell these Magic Herbs?" Miss Tiffany asked Roy, leaning against the doorframe, without rushing upstairs.
Mermaids are known for their slender waists.
Her hips have become somewhat wider, and she has clearly defined abs on both sides of her abdomen...
"...No!" Roy withdrew his gaze and replied.
Just as Miss Tiffany frowned, Roy said again:
"Because I found that almost all the Magic Herbs in these magical Potion Shop are sold out. I heard that the merchant group on the Great Sea Ship at the dock is constantly buying them. So I plan to sell these Magic Herbs to that merchant group. I plan to go to the dock later to inquire about the situation."
Miss Tiffany asked, "Is there anything I can help you with?"
"There is indeed something, but it might be a bit troublesome!" Roy chuckled.
"Go ahead and say it. Anything within my power, I'll do," Miss Tiffany said generously, seemingly in a very good mood.
"...Then I'll tell you!" Roy said.
In those magic Potion Shop, almost all Magic Herbs were displayed in categories, but the bundles of Magic Herbs Roy brought back were mixed together and tied very tightly. Among these bundles of Magic Herbs were inexpensive Silverleaf Grass, slightly more expensive Spirit Gathering Grass, kudzu Kudzu Root which could be found everywhere in the jungle, and slightly rarer Swiftleaf Grass. Occasionally, one could also see more precious herbs such Magic Emperor Grass, Heather Grass, and Golden Thorn Grass. The value of each of these herbs was enough to exchange for a Magic Crystal Stone.
Roy's most important task now is to pack these Magic Herbs into separate Wooden Box, even the cheapest Silverleaf Grass and Kudzu Root must be put into separate Wooden Box.
Roy inquired about the price of Silverleaf Grass at the magic Potion Shop. The whole bundle of Magic Herbs was the cheapest Silverleaf Grass, and this bundle of Magic Herbs could be sold for at least twenty-two Magic Crystal Stone.
If some of the valuable Magic Herbs are selected out, the profit will only be higher.
This was probably the profit center for those merchant groups in the Pattington Plane back then.
Furthermore, Roy only received the purchase price from the magic Potion Shop. Roy believed that the purchase price of the merchant ship in Castleton Harbour would be much higher than the price Roy received, given that the magic Potion Shop would sell out all the herbs in its store.
"I'd like to ask you to help me sort and store these Magic Herbs!" Roy said somewhat embarrassedly.
"No problem, this is easy for me. I've learned how to identify these Magic Herbs," Miss Tiffany readily agreed.
Everyone ate grilled fish on the deck of the Black Pearl, and even Woods, who had been busy all day at the magic Potion Shop, joined in sorting through the Magic Herbs...
Roy untied a bundle of Magic Herbs, and the tightly packed Magic Herbs scattered on the deck, forming a large heap.
Miss Tiffany exclaimed in surprise, "How did it suddenly become such a huge pile!"
I heard that everyone was sifting through Magic Herbs on the Black Pearl, and Sabrina and Moira came to help. According to Ms. Jillian, even after the trip is over, they won't be able to settle down, because their hearts have been completely set free.
The Magic Herbs were unbundled, sorted, and then packed back into Wooden Box, which were then piled up in the cargo hold of the Black Pearl.
The thought that everyone had worked so hard to bring these back from the Pagisto Plateau filled everyone with great excitement.
Under the soft light, the Earl Swynborne's face glowed with a pale golden light.
He leaned back in his chair.
There are three maps hanging on the opposite wall.
Originally, only two dimensional maps were hanging on the wall of this study, but now a map of the Padesto region of the Pattington Plane is also hanging on this wall of honor.
This also means that the Seventeenth Legion can receive continuous support from three planes, and the Silver Pegasus Legion can expand by two more legions.
There was a letter on the table.
This is a report from the Pattington Plane, detailing the daily work in the Padesto City.
The Earl Swynborne had no interest in this. His gaze swept quickly over the dry text, but stopped abruptly when he saw a line of text.
He put down the Quill Pen in his hand, rubbed his sore eyes, and looked at Adjutant Angie standing at the door.
"Angie, what's your opinion on Roy using Teleportation Pass passes to smuggle Magic Herbs from the Pattington Plane?" Earl Swynborne asked.
The fact that this performance review letter was on his desk says something.
"Roy, as the governor of Rampart Town, has truly failed to live up to your expectations," Lieutenant Angie replied immediately.
He placed the report on the Earl Swynborne's desk, intending for the Earl to know the news.
In fact, for the Earl Swynborne, this was just a trivial matter.
However, Roy's actions seriously affected the interests of the officers of the Seventeenth Legion, because the trade in the Pattington Plane is currently controlled by the Seventeenth Silver Pegasus Legion, and the officers in the legion are able to receive a share of money from the Pattington Plane every year.
Now that someone has threatened this opportunity, after Adjutant Angie obtained the report letter, three high-ranking officers of the legion have subtly reminded him to make sure the Earl accidentally sees the letter.
Earl Swynborne smiled, tossed the Quill Pen into the Ink Bottle, turned and stood up, walked to the bookshelf, and while rummaging through the documents, said, "It would be truly disappointing if this child had such convenient access but didn't know how to use it."
Adjutant Angie was slightly taken aback.
Earl Swynborne continued, "I appointed him as the governor of Rampart Town, not just to ease the conflict between the Silver Moon Elf and the Half-Elf. If that were all, wouldn't it have been better to just choose any Half-Elf as the governor of Rampart Town? Now it seems... he has some brains, at least he dares to try, which is not bad!"
Lieutenant Angie knew that the Earl Swynborne rarely praised others.
"Someone come here!" Earl Swynborne called out to the door.
An Elven Guard pulled open the wooden door to the study from the outside.
"Go and fetch Miss Christine," Earl Swynborne ordered the Elven Guard.
"Yes!"
A series of footsteps echoed down the corridor...
The echo of footsteps reached Miss Christine's ears; what should have been a crisp and pleasant sound now irritated her somewhat.
The wooden door at the end of the corridor made her feel a little nervous. Christine had already heard about Roy from her cousin. What a troublesome guy!
In fact, Miss Christine would prefer that Roy stay with the Elf Academy Adventure Group.
Wouldn't it be great if we all followed Instructor Nora on a journey through different dimensions?
After he became the nominal governor of Rampart Town, the position became a hindrance, requiring him to travel to Rampart Town twice a year to handle some official business.
Now, for some reason, the interests of the officers in the Seventeenth Legion Corps have been affected...
Knock knock knock
Miss Christine stood outside the wooden door, tapping lightly on it with her fingers, a little nervous.
"Come in."
The Earl Swynborne's voice came from the room.
Miss Christine pushed the door open a crack, poked her head in, and whispered:
"Father, are you calling me?"
Earl Swynborne waved to Miss Christine, gesturing for her to come in and sit in the chair opposite the desk.
"What did you gain from your trip to the Rocky Mountain Plane with the Adventure Group this time?" Earl Swynborne asked.
The reason he loved his youngest daughter, Christine, was simple: he could see a reflection of his younger self in Christine.
Miss Christine blinked and said slyly, "Are you referring to the magical beasts our Adventure Group hunted in the Rocky Mountain Plane? Or the scenery we saw along the way?"
Clearly, Earl Swynborne understood that Miss Christine was unwilling to share this adventure.
"Haha, it seems my Christine has grown up," Earl Swynborne said with a hearty laugh.
I remember a couple of years ago, Miss Christine would occasionally run up to Earl Swynborne and cry her eyes out, but now she's actually keeping some little secrets from her old father.
Earl Swynborne handed a scroll to Miss Christine, casually saying, "If you have time, please take this to Roy."
Miss Christine took it and unfolded the paper. It turned out to be a Business Certificate signed by the Earl Swynborne himself.
"What are you doing here...?"
Miss Christine concealed the surprise on her face with a look of astonishment.
Earl Swynborne rubbed his aching wrist and said, "He is the governor of Rampart Town. If he really wants to take control of Rampart Town, this certificate will save him a lot of trouble."
Miss Christine seemed to sense the probing in Earl Swynborne's eyes, and quickly pushed the Parchment Scroll back dismissively, saying casually, "You could have just sent someone to deliver it to him, why bother with me?"
Earl Swynborne didn't seem to mind, pinching the scroll between two fingers and saying, "I just thought you might be interested in doing this, since..."
"Since you insist, I'll go."
Miss Christine interrupted Earl Swynborne, snatched the Business Certificate from his hand, and said, "If you have nothing else, I'll go and attend to Ms. Edith..."
He turned and quickly ran out of Earl Swynborne's study.
