Ch. 301Bail

Roy traveled with his group to Pattington Island, entered the Pattington Plane, and returned to Padesto City to bail imprisoned Half-Elves. After taking them to Rampart Town, he arrived at Town Hall and saw Elf Warriors locking more Half-Elves into cages.

  • Sabrina, Moira, Miss Tiffany, Roy, Klayr, and Woods sailed aboard a Supply Ship, where Woods spotted a pod of Killer Whales.
  • Roy and his group entered the Pattington Plane using a pass signed by Earl Swynborne, and Klayr told Roy that the Dark Legion was opening passages between planes.
  • Roy obtained Padesto City's detainee register and paid bail for the listed Half-Elves, including a Hunter he had freed before.
  • Roy transported the released Half-Elves and supplies to Rampart Town, where former rebels had rebuilt the town and its Apple Orchard.
  • Roy went to Town Hall to complete the handover and saw Elf Warriors locking several Half-Elves into Wooden Cages.

Ch. 302Children

Roy investigated suspected slave traders near Rampart Town and learned that dozens of displaced elf children lived there after being rescued or left behind by slave traders. After asking Uncle Woods to watch over them, Roy waited for Kaka and Little Eugene to arrive, then woke when an owl with a white crescent on its chest appeared outside.

  • Roy learned that slave traders had been seen west of Rampart Town and that several had escaped while Elf Warriors pursued them.
  • Roy saw a Half-Elf boy watching fish at a stall and learned that a few children had been living around town for more than half a year.
  • Uncle Woods told Roy that around forty or fifty children lived in Rampart Town, including some rescued from slave traders and others who had appeared after the traders fled.
  • Roy asked Uncle Woods to ensure the children had their basic needs met and said he would arrange anything else they needed.
  • Roy said he would remain in Rampart Town until he had taken care of something, still waiting for Kaka and Little Eugene.
  • An owl with a white crescent marking appeared outside Roy's window, and Roy hurried out to follow it.

Ch. 303Smuggling

Roy secretly delivered a large stockpile of supplies to Kaka and Little Eugene outside Rampart Town before setting out west with his Adventure Group. Kaka decided to leave Little Eugene to move the remaining supplies and seek work as a scout, while Roy’s group reached the Lapis Lazuli Forest and began exploring the wilderness.

  • Roy met Kaka and Little Eugene outside Rampart Town and gave them hidden supplies to help their village endure the blockade.
  • Kaka and Little Eugene moved the supplies by griffon, and Kaka decided to travel west to join Roy’s Adventure Group as a scout.
  • Roy and his five companions left Rampart Town on horseback and reached the edge of the Lapis Lazuli Forest after three days.
  • Roy planned a hunt to help Miss Tiffany and Moira adjust to the wilderness, but Klayr startled a family of Wind Foxes and they fled.

Ch. 304Chase

Roy’s Adventure Group put its journey to Pagisto Plateau on hold to investigate a group of Half-Elves traveling with children, whom they suspected might be Slave Traders. After Kaka tracked them by griffin, the group learned that armed Half-Elves from the plateau had attacked them, and Roy faced a choice about whom to help.

  • Moira heard voices, and Woods scouted ahead before finding Half-Elves with several children at a forest camp.
  • Roy postponed the trip to Pagisto Plateau and arranged for Woods and Klayr to watch the group.
  • Kaka joined Roy’s Adventure Group and used his griffin to monitor the Half-Elves from the air.
  • Roy and the others followed the group toward Rampart Town while Kaka watched from above.
  • Kaka spotted armed Half-Elves riding Pagisto Plateau rams pursuing the first group, then reported that they had attacked and cut down two adults.
  • Klayr asked Roy which group they should help.

Ch. 305Headhunters

Roy rescued a wounded elf who revealed that headhunters on Pagisto Plateau were capturing miners and that the elf children had been sent away to spare them the same fate. Four headhunters tracked Roy’s Adventure Group to their new camp and attacked, where Sabrina and Moira were ready for them.

  • Roy found two dead elves and rescued a third with Holy Light Art before Kaka discovered the headhunters had captured the elf children and were heading west.
  • Roy moved the Adventure Group to a new campsite, where the wounded elf woke and explained that he and his companions had been smuggling children from Pagisto Plateau to Rampart Town to protect them from forced mine labor.
  • Four headhunters tracked the group and planned to seize its horses, assigning Phil, Sam, and Proda to attack members of the camp.
  • Moira noticed Sam approaching her tent and alerted Sabrina, who blocked his sword and summoned an Elf Sword Dancer to strike back.
  • Sabrina disarmed Sam, and a military spike pierced his calf as he tried to kick her.

Ch. 306Pursuit

Roy’s Adventure Group survived an Elf Headhunter ambush, then pursued the surviving raiders to stop them returning to the Pagisto Plateau with captured elf children. The chapter ended as both sides faced off on a grassy slope and Sabrina and Woods launched the opening attacks.

  • Roy killed Phil with the Hammer of Judgment Book, while Woods, Sabrina, Moira, Miss Tiffany, and Kaka helped defeat the attackers at the camp.
  • The headhunter captain escaped with Sam and two other headhunters on bighorn rams, while the Adventure Group buried two dead raiders and learned the headhunters had dozens of members on the Pagisto Plateau.
  • Kaka tracked the fleeing headhunters by griffin, and Roy gathered the Adventure Group to pursue them and rescue the captured elf children.
  • Roy’s group caught up with the headhunters on a grassy slope, where Sabrina charged the captain and Woods transformed into a giant bear to attack.

Ch. 307Longing

Roy and the Adventure Group defeated a band of Elf Headhunters and rescued two adult Half-Elves and six children, then learned about the dwindling Half-Elf population and the mines on the Pagisto Plateau. After helping the children reach Rampart Town, Roy and his companions continued west with three Half-Elves as guides, realizing that many Half-Elves saw the town as a refuge.

  • Woods, Sabrina, Roy, Klayr, Moira, Miss Tiffany, and Kaka fought six Elf Headhunters, killing five before the last one took his own life.
  • Sabrina and Moira found two injured adult Half-Elves and six children whom the headhunters had tied up, and the group brought them back to camp.
  • Roy learned that fewer than five hundred Half-Elves might remain on the Pagisto Plateau and asked two survivors to guide the Adventure Group around the plateau.
  • The Half-Elves explained that they planned to smuggle the children to Rampart Town, where they would be safe from headhunters and could eat apples.
  • Five days later, Roy and the others watched the six children head for Rampart Town, then continued west with three Half-Elves as guides.

Ch. 308309 Plateau

Leishande explained how greedy mine owners on the Pagisto Plateau turned to elf headhunters after their slave supply was cut off, and guided Roy’s Adventure Group through the plateau to meet the isolated Half-Elf villagers. The group left the village with Leishande and continued toward another settlement, while the threat of the headhunters remained.

  • Leishande told Roy’s group that Half-Elf mine owners enslaved workers to extract Yellow Crystal Stone and had hired headhunters to capture secluded elves when their slave trade was disrupted.
  • Leishande led the Adventure Group through the plateau’s rugged mountain paths, where Roy mapped the route and Woods gathered herbs and helped harvest Vampire Vine materials.
  • Jiade and Langbo reached their village and told the elves that Pake had died protecting the children from headhunters.
  • Roy shared his stored apples and Breadfruit with the villagers, and the group joined them for a riverside gathering to remember Pake.
  • Leishande guided Roy’s group away from the village across the plateau and, after two days without encountering elves or headhunters, pointed out another elf settlement ahead.

Ch. 309Hunters

Roy and the Adventure Group found an elf village devastated by headhunters, buried its dead, and met Mulin, a survivor organizing nearby villages to resist. After Roy offered to help obtain weapons, the group headed toward the plateau’s interior, where Kaka spotted a headhunter patrol and Roy prepared to ambush it.

  • Leishande led the Adventure Group to a ruined village, where they found sixteen dead elves and buried them.
  • Leishande mourned the villagers he had known, while Roy and the others helped lay them to rest.
  • Mulin returned and told Leishande that headhunters had attacked the village and that survivors were joining forces to resist.
  • Roy offered to help Mulin obtain weapons and armor, and Leishande led the group toward the plateau’s interior the next day.
  • Kaka spotted eight headhunters searching the ridges, and Roy decided the Adventure Group would ambush them.

Ch. 310Heavy Rain

Roy's Adventure Group followed a headhunter squad through a worsening storm and set an ambush along its route. The attack began in the icy mist, leaving headhunter captain Edward caught between a giant bear and armed attackers.

  • The headhunter captain sensed that Roy's Adventure Group was following his squad and hid to prepare an ambush, but Kaka spotted their trap from the air.
  • Roy ordered the group to detour toward a small elf village, while Kaka flew ahead to check on it.
  • Heavy rain and hail forced Roy's group to shelter among Giant Stones as Edward's squad, having captured thirteen elves, became trapped in the village by more than a hundred Elf Hunters.
  • Roy's group reached the stone forest and waited for the headhunters to pass through the planned ambush site.
  • A giant bear attacked a headhunter, and an unseen fighter's Serugi Longsword struck another as Edward realized his squad had been ambushed.
  • Edward dodged a holy-light warhammer, but it smashed the shoulder of the headhunter behind him.

Ch. 311Ambush

Roy and the Adventure Group fought off an ambush by eight elf headhunters, then learned that Half-Elf Hunters were battling other squads nearby. After the rain stopped, Kaka spotted another headhunter squad approaching, so Roy decided to stay at the boulder field and prepare for it.

  • The headhunters' captain nearly overwhelmed Roy and Klayr, but Roy used a Holy Light Hammer to injure him before Tiffany, Moira, and the others joined the fight.
  • Tiffany froze the captain, Moira repeatedly wounded his legs, and Woods and Leishande killed him as the Adventure Group defeated all eight headhunters.
  • Half-Elf Hunters from several villages wiped out another headhunter squad, though almost thirty hunters were injured in the battle.
  • The Adventure Group sheltered from the rain while Roy treated wounds and collected weapons, rams, gemstones, and more than sixty monster cores from the dead headhunters.
  • Kaka reported that several headhunter squads were nearby and that one more was heading for the boulder field, so Roy chose to remain there for another half day.

Ch. 312Ambush 2

Roy’s Adventure Group ambushed Luqi’s headhunters in the rocky field, killing several and driving the rest off despite Woods being badly wounded. After recovering and reaching the nearby elf village, the group found it abandoned and confirmed that the fresh graves held headhunters.

  • Luqi led the Sixth Search Team toward the rocky field after learning the Third Squad’s smoke signal had not appeared, and his rangers detected blood and recent tracks.
  • Roy prepared the Adventure Group for battle, while Kaka tended his griffin and Sabrina reassured Moira before the headhunters arrived.
  • Woods’s ambush failed when Luqi wounded him, and the Adventure Group attacked as Kaka’s griffin struck the headhunters through Tiffany’s icy mist.
  • Roy, Sabrina, and their companions surrounded Luqi; Woods suffered a severe chest wound, Leishande shot Luqi in the eye, and Moira stabbed him in the back before Roy and Sabrina protected her.
  • After treating Woods and resting overnight, Leishande led the group to the deserted elf village, where he dug into a fresh grave and confirmed it held a headhunter.

Ch. 313Garrison

Roy led the Adventure Group away from the elven village to evade two pursuing Headhunter squads, then visited Mulin’s Resistance Army base. After promising to bring weapons and armor, Roy left the base with the group and decided to leave Pagisto Plateau.

  • Roy ordered the Adventure Group to withdraw when Kaka warned that two Headhunter squads were approaching, and they evaded the pursuers through the mountains until the Headhunters turned back.
  • Leishande guided the Adventure Group toward the plateau’s edge and identified the mountains where Mulin had established a Resistance Army base.
  • Roy agreed to visit Mulin and learned that the Resistance Army had only managed to warn some nearby elven villages about the Headhunters.
  • Mulin invited Roy and the Adventure Group to join the Resistance Army, but Roy declined because they would leave for school in a month and had not come to settle on the plateau.
  • Roy promised to arrange weapons and armor for the Resistance Army, accepted Magic Herbs and Magic Crystal Stones from Mulin, and left with the Adventure Group to depart Pagisto Plateau.

Ch. 314Roy's First Business Deal

Roy negotiated to exchange the elves’ stockpiled Magic Herbs and Magic Crystal Stones for weapons and armor, then led an Adventure Group carrying supplies and elven children out of the mountains. After Kaka returned home by griffon, Roy escorted the children to Rampart Town and left them to make their way inside.

  • Leishande agreed to take Jim and other elven children along after warning their families that Highland Headhunters might attack them.
  • Mulin offered Roy Magic Herbs and four hundred Magic Crystal Stones in exchange for weapons and armor, and the group packed as many herbs as they could carry.
  • Leishande led the Adventure Group out of the settlement with eight elven children riding bighorn sheep.
  • The group crossed the Pagisto Plateau without meeting Headhunters, and Kaka flew home on his griffon near the Bulwark Mountain Range.
  • After traveling east for seven days, Roy left the elven children near Rampart Town, and Woods followed them until they reached it.

Ch. 315Claire's Summer

Roy led the Adventure Group to Padesto City with a load of Magic Herbs, where he helped Klayr develop a melody before dealing with the city’s scrutiny and crowds. After arranging lodging and returning the borrowed War Horses, Roy prepared to take the herbs to Castleton City and promised Leishande and Langbo he would return with weapons and armor.

  • Roy guided the Adventure Group along the public lands, where Silver Pegasus Legion patrols let them pass without inspecting their Magic Herbs.
  • Near Padesto City, Roy hummed a tune for Klayr and called it “Claire's Summer,” and Klayr stayed up all night arranging the score.
  • An Elf Ranger captain inspected the herbs at Padesto City’s edge but let Roy’s group proceed after checking his travel permit and appointment letter.
  • Half-Elves crowded around Roy’s group in the city, and the Elf Rangers dispersed them and escorted the group to Roy’s familiar inn.
  • Roy settled Leishande and Langbo at the inn, returned the borrowed War Horses, and told them he would take the herbs to Castleton City and return with weapons and armor.

Ch. 316Ships at the Port

Roy brought a shipment of Magic Herbs from the Pattington Plane to Castleton City and learned that a Great Sea Ship was buying up herbs across the city. After reading High Priest Reed’s grim letter from the Dark Land, Roy set out to find buyers and equipment, leaving the new ship’s crew and purpose unexplored.

  • Roy used Earl Swynborne’s Teleportation Pass to take his Adventure Group and Magic Herbs through the Teleportation Portal to Pattington Island, then paid to ship them to Castleton City.
  • Roy returned to the Black Pearl with Klayr, Sabrina, and Moira, stored the herbs aboard, and found letters from Ms. Belinda and High Priest Reed at home.
  • Roy read High Priest Reed’s account of the scorched, monster-filled Dark Land, where the Expeditionary Force was preparing to fight without sensing the Goddess’s presence.
  • Roy learned from Mrs. Winnie that a Great Sea Ship was buying Magic Herbs throughout Castleton City, and watched her take her own stock to sell.
  • Roy found the Magic Herb shelves empty at several potion shops, checked prices for weapons and armor at the Trading Company, and returned to Brown Street.

Ch. 317Business Certificate

Roy and his companions sorted the Magic Herbs he had brought from the Pattington Plane, while Earl Swynborne approved Roy’s efforts to trade them and gave Christine a Business Certificate to deliver to him. Christine accepted the errand and hurried out of her father’s study.

  • Roy asked Miss Tiffany to help sort and pack the Magic Herbs, and Sabrina, Moira, and Woods joined them after dinner.
  • The group separated the herbs by type, packed them into Wooden Boxes, and stacked them in the Black Pearl’s cargo hold.
  • Earl Swynborne discussed Roy’s Magic Herb trade with Adjutant Angie and praised Roy for using his advantage to pursue business.
  • Earl Swynborne summoned Miss Christine and asked her to deliver Roy a Business Certificate for Rampart Town.
  • Christine tried to conceal her interest, then took the certificate and hurried out to attend to Ms. Edith.

Ch. 318Business

Roy met merchant Andre at the harbor and arranged to sell him a huge stock of Magic Herbs. Andre inspected the herbs aboard Roy’s vine-covered ship and offered to help sort them before negotiating payment.

  • Roy heard that the human merchants were buying Magic Herbs with Magic Crystal Stones and approached Andre to ask about selling his stock.
  • Andre showed Roy a price list that offered prices twenty percent higher than those Roy had received from the magic Potion Shops.
  • Roy led Andre and an Elven-speaking sailor to his ship, where Andre inspected the Magic Herbs stored on deck and below.
  • Andre offered to have his crew sort the herbs, and Roy accepted the help.
  • Andre asked Roy how he wanted to sell the Elementary Magic Herbs, offering Magic Crystal Stones or a trade for goods.

Ch. 319320 Business 2

Roy examined goods aboard Andre’s merchant ship and arranged to trade Magic Herbs for weapons and armor. After receiving a Business Certificate for the Pattington Plane from Miss Christine, he settled the trade with Andre and ordered 135 longswords, Chain Mail suits, and Alloy Bows.

  • Roy met merchant manager Andre, learned about the Grimm Empire, and had ten sailors help sort the Magic Herbs.
  • Roy inspected Andre’s cargo and chose samples of a longsword, Chain Mail, and an Alloy Bow to evaluate before deciding to buy weapons and defensive gear in bulk.
  • Instructor Virgil judged the longsword to be exquisite-grade, Instructor Nora identified the Chain Mail as ordinary, and Instructor Gru praised the Alloy Bow.
  • Miss Christine gave Roy a Business Certificate for the Pattington Plane after the Adventure Group gathering.
  • Roy and Andre valued the Magic Herbs at 3,653 Magic Crystal Stones, then agreed to deduct 1,000 Magic Crystal Stones for 135 sets each of longswords, Chain Mail, and Alloy Bows.

Ch. 320Magic Herbs of the Pattington Plane

Roy returned to the Pattington Plane with his companions to deliver weapons and armor to Leishande and Langbo, while Woods discovered that low-grade Magic Herbs were unusually cheap in Padesto City. The group left the delivery completed, and Woods and Miss Tiffany considered telling Roy about a possible herb trade.

  • Roy bought four Magic Pouches and recruited Sabrina, Moira, Tiffany, and Woods to help transport weapons and armor to the Pattington Plane.
  • Roy and his companions traveled to the inn, where Leishande and Langbo were tending to rams suffering from the heat.
  • Woods advised Leishande and Langbo to return the rams to the plateau and feed them Heat Relief Grass.
  • Woods and Miss Tiffany bought Heat Relief Grass at a herb trading company and learned that its low-grade Magic Herbs cost only twenty Kole per stalk.
  • Miss Tiffany suggested that Woods discuss buying low-grade Magic Herbs with Roy because the portal lockdown had made them difficult for local traders to sell.
