Background / History

Ji Si was one of the few people to retain memories of the Origin Sea Ancient Kingdom after history and memories were altered. For five hundred years, she believed she might be insane because the records of Great Zhou contradicted everything she remembered. Her relief at discovering that Zhao Xing also remembered the erased history confirmed that her memories were real. 418

Zhao Xing recognized her aptitude early and directed considerable resources toward her cultivation. He supported her entry into the Celestial Master Mansion, where she studied Fate Official methods and later developed into a dual cultivator of Fate and History. 485 399

After learning that Zhao Xing had apparently been assassinated, coerced, and separated from Great Zhou, Ji Si refused to wait for the major powers controlling time travel to act. She inherited the Eight Directions Divine Mirror, worked with Ji Che and Liu Tianning, reconstructed portions of the lost Destiny Dynasty cultivation system, and drove Great Zhou's aggressive expansion across the Profound Spirit Star Region. By the end of the third millennium, Great Zhou's actual strength ranked second among the ancient kingdoms. 605

She used the Eight Directions Divine Mirror and the Seven Stars Dipper Cabinet to force the Moon God Palace Master to hesitate, threatening to destroy the Profound Spirit Star Region's existing cultivation system if he obstructed her plans. This bought Great Zhou time to strengthen its River of National Luck and unseal the Profound Yellow World. 605 418

Personality

Ji Si is ordinarily reserved, serious, and self-effacing, but she is intensely devoted to Zhao Xing and Great Zhou. She refused Beins' offer to abandon Great Zhou despite his superior cultivation and the destruction caused by his Biography Clone. 439

Her loyalty does not make her passive. Ji Si is highly suspicious of possible threats, willing to interrogate allies such as Qing Yuzi when circumstances demand it, and ruthless toward enemies who refuse to cooperate. She killed Shuji and his disciple Zhou Wanbai after Shuji refused to answer her interrogation. 683 684

As her power grew, Ji Si became increasingly calculating in battle. On Ten Directions Mountain, she regarded nearly every group besides Zhao Xing as a potential enemy and was prepared to use them as shields against calamity or as pieces in the struggle for the Ten Aspects Gate's orthodox lineage. 680

Appearance

Ji Si is usually depicted in a magic robe and frequently carries the Eight Directions Divine Mirror.

  • Her brow bears the Eye of Destiny, which she uses in advanced divinations and concealment techniques. 545
  • Heavy Fate Master backlash can turn her hair white, cause it to fall out, or leave her completely bald after repeated Scorched Tortoise Observations. 34 490
  • When fighting through Karma methods, her body may become partially illusory as karmic threads emerge around her. 485

Abilities & Skills

Fate and History Dual Cultivation

Ji Si cultivates both the Dao of Fate and the Dao of History, using the past as a basis to observe, influence, and redirect future outcomes.

  • Serves as both a Fate Official and Starry Sky Historian. 399
  • Can perceive and contest causal links, including those involving Fate Officials above her apparent realm. 485
  • Developed dual Fate–History techniques rather than pursuing either profession in isolation. 399
  • Her Fate and History attainments enabled her to create a Biography Realm capable of resisting Beins' Reincarnation Realm Biography Clone long enough for an unknown force to destroy his artifacts. 439

Eight Directions Divine Mirror

The Eight Directions Divine Mirror is Ji Si's central supreme treasure and the foundation of many of her greatest feats.

  • Verifies identities by scanning a target repeatedly; Ji Si used it to confirm that Zhao Xing's true spirit was inside a book puppet. 34
  • Shields heavenly secrets and concealed Great Zhou's preparations from the Moon God Palace Master. 605
  • Can serve as a barrier, interrogation chamber, and gateway into Fate Master inheritances. 683 686
  • Allows her to search for Fate Master supreme treasures and illuminate hidden locations on Ten Directions Mountain. 686
  • Its artifact spirit, Hemp Robe Divine Physiognomy, acts as Ji Si's teacher and provides assistance in high-level Fate techniques. 590 545

Karma Arts

Ji Si excels in causal combat, where direct interference by outsiders is usually impossible.

  • Uses Words to establish a favorable causal premise before battle, as when she declared that she would protect Tang Menghe and Liang Rui. 487
  • Won a causal battle against another Fate Official, securing Zhao Xing's group smooth entry into the Medicine King Realm. 485
  • Created the Art of Reciprocal Karma, arranging causes and results across different points in time to bind a god-tier target's destiny. 590
  • Can use karma to manipulate large-scale wars, seize an opponent's authority over fate, and determine the outcomes available to both sides. 666
  • Her combat power was considered close to the Lord level even before later breakthroughs, and Azure Flower Mana further amplified her advantage in Fate Master duels. 487

Divination

Ji Si employs numerous Fate Official divination methods, often at significant personal cost.

  • Learned aspects of Scorched Tortoise Observation, Heavenly Strategy, Astrology, Bird Divination, Dream Divination, Preservation Divination, Oracle Divination, and the Heavenly Mystery Plate. 486
  • Uses refined tortoise shells to bear the backlash of Scorched Tortoise Observation; she expended more than a thousand shells while confirming the safety of a journey. 490
  • Obtained the Five Aspects Divination after defeating Luan Ping inside a Ten Aspects Gate inheritance passage. 686
  • Combined Divine Fire Divination with Historian spells to create Divine Fire True-False Divination, turning an enemy's written Fate Decree outcome into an illusion. 666

Time and Dream Techniques

Ji Si can communicate and arrange causality across time rather than merely predicting it.

  • Writes Time Letters addressed to specific people in the future, enabling them to receive messages across years. 310
  • Created the Time Dream Recall Technique, allowing people to communicate with their past selves through dreams. 455
  • Used the technique to transmit four thousand six hundred years of Great Zhou's history to Wang Tianzhi in a dream. 465
  • Reversed space-time three times during the Four Seasons Slips trial to keep Zhao Xing on the same path. 680

Void History Rivers

During high-level Fate combat, Ji Si can summon eight Void History Rivers fused with the Dao Origins of Life, Karma, Destiny, Space-Time, and Soul.

  • This capability was identified as a level normally associated with the Ten Aspects Gate's Gan Zhuan lineage. 674
  • Her control of these rivers suggested that she had inherited more than one Ten Aspects Gate legacy. 674

Concealment and Memory Suppression

Ji Si can erase or suppress awareness of people, information, and events.

  • Used Innate Yin Yang Divine Eye to isolate Cloud Heaven Dao in an independent space and cause observers' impression of him to fade. 545
  • Can help conceal sensitive information so that even the affected person cannot remember having revealed it. 545
  • Developed the experimental Fate–History spell Leave of Absence, which manipulates employer–employee or master–servant attitudes to induce leave-taking or reduced work enthusiasm. 399
