Background
Qing Yuzi was a direct disciple of the Purple Moon Mansion Lord and held a high position within her lineage. His family died before he reached the second Source Origin Realm, and he left no descendants; Qing Yu World Star therefore remained under his name during his long disappearance. 377
Together with Pu Ta and Su Xianzi, Qing Yuzi became stranded in the Profound Yellow World after the Xia Dynasty ascended. The three established the Yu Dynasty and attempted to create an artificial Spiritual Qi resurgence, hoping to open an ascension path. Their effort failed against the world's unbreakable rules and the obstacles of the Southern Wilderness and Returning Ruins. 335 341
Before his eventual fall, Qing Yuzi prepared an extensive legacy for later cultivators. His Establish Dao Dharma Body recorded his history, warned successors about the Profound Yellow World, and requested that his remains be returned to the Purple God Mansion. 335 341
His recorded final words state that he, Pu Ta, and Su Xianzi were ambushed in the Chenluo Barren Domain by two Mystic Power Realm members of the East Yan Ancient Clan while attempting to return from an expedition. 376
Appearance
Qing Yuzi's appearance is highly variable due to his transformations, reincarnation-related circumstances, and exposure to dangerous environments.
- He wore a bamboo hat while traveling through the Silent Extinction World. 599
- During his earlier hardships, he was repeatedly forced into the forms of cattle, horses, and an elm tree. 596
- Exposure to the Moon Shadow Realm reduced him to the body of an eleven- or twelve-year-old boy, with his flesh initially stripped away and his divine fire nearly extinguished. 599
- During the Transformation Marsh trial, vines, moss, and plant growth covered his body. 613
Personality
Qing Yuzi is resourceful, adaptable, and willing to take extreme risks for information, power, or survival. He infiltrated Bookless Divine King City by impersonating a Palace Divine General, later stole a piece of the Derivation God Stele, and sought to use it as the core of a Reincarnation Altar. 596 412
He is also generous toward Zhao Xing and places considerable faith in their karmic connection. He offered Zhao Xing an equal share of any gains from Divine King Yu Heng's cenotaph and spent a Divine General-level Divine Power Tower merely to secure an audience with Fairy Lianyin. 596 597
Despite his confidence and occasional indulgence, Qing Yuzi carries intense guilt. When Zhao Xing was believed dead inside the God King Tower, Qing Yuzi suffered a heart demon episode driven by self-reproach and memories of his own suffering. 613
