After returning to Penglai to cultivate, Ling Xiao faced a new request to help free Xuanwu from the Heavenly Dao’s restraints.

• Guangchengzi and the Sect of Enlightenment rescued Yin Jiao and Yin Hong from execution, but Emperor Xin refused Jiang Huanchu’s demand to surrender Lady Fox Fairy and crushed his rebellion with the Sect of Interception and Demon Clan forces.
• Ling Xiao warned Wuyun Xian about karmic slaughter, gathered spirits into the Investiture of the Gods List, and traveled to Chen Tang Pass with Nezha, where he rejected Yun Xiao’s pleas for reconciliation.
